For future reference, if anyone has a problem with me in any shape or form, please have the common decency to come to me directly instead of employing some goon who apparently has an affair with caps-lock to do it for you. You will get a far better response out of me than outsourcing it to someone I dislike, has nothing to do with this RP and has no authority over me whatsoever.

As for rushing posts. Brovo is aware that I post at my own pace, and I've still been accepted into the roleplay with that knowledge. He's been accepted into my RP with the same knowledge about him. I work around this on a regular basis. Brovo is moving, which is great for him, but also means his post will likely be delayed from the regular weekly schedule. He probably doesn't have to work around anything. I don't see the need for the push.

That was more of an address (well, at first it was to you, because of the wording and all that typical stuff relating to not being able to understand intent due to text) to the majority of the reactions I've seen from people thus far, which has amounted to angry outbursts at an obvious joke.

I'm simply the one who's taking everything with a grain of salt and trying to defuse it with light-hearted joking.

You think it's funny, others think it's poor in taste. Done. Just let people post their complaints (it's way better than when your players don't speak up) and wait for the responsible parties to respond in proper fashion. It's not worth anyone's time discussing how people should be experiencing something differently, unless you want to start a fight or whip up a shitstorm. I think we can all agree nobody wants that.

Also, pro-tip: as I'm sure you've noticed, people ain't responding well to light-hearted 'joking'. Even if you intend to do good, the worst thing you can do to get a person to calm down is telling them to calm down. Or calling them butt-hurt, that tends to not work either.

Guys, it's essentially just a joke taken too far. If Brovo seriously wanted to harass people into posting he would have either waited until he had stable internet to do it himself, or he would've gotten someone he trusts (Tempest probably) to do it. I'll lay it out clearly for you guys so you can understand what went down.

It started when Brovo jokingly (underscored because it's important) told Elendra to harass people to post while he lacked stable home internet access. Then Elendra was silly and decided to follow through on it and got Sole to send out those messages with, again, humorous intent. Maybe the brand of humor Sole used was not exactly to your taste, which is perfectly understandable, but to anyone familiar and comfortable with that sort of aggressive humor it's rather obvious that it was not a serious thing at all.

Vent your spleen if it'll make you feel better, but don't take this nonsense to heart. There was no personal attack made on you, just some rude humor thrown at everyone, even people who had already posted. I'd suggest ignoring any further activity in those PMs, because they're obviously not constructive or helpful in any way. I'd also suggest that you guys just chill and wait for Brovo to address the shenanigans rather than continuing to discuss it and/or argue with Zed about it, but it seems a bit late for that piece of advice, so whatever.

Everyone understands the situation, Jorick, but it's kind of like waking up next to a clown who proceeds to throw a pie in your face. It's intended as a joke, sure, but you still want to punch him in the gut and put his throwing hand through the shredder for being a little shit. Explaining how it's a joke isn't very useful ;p
