The son of Jupiter nodded, moving to help her. When she failed to left him he said," I got him." He moved and hefted the stayr up, letting out a puff of air as he got to his feet, muscles flexing as he did. He grunted," grab my sword please." He headed to the Demeter cabin, the muscles on his arms standing out. He was strong, years of training helped that.

Grimmlin just watched the battle unfold, not bothering to help his fellow demi-gods moving from shadow to shadow to stay away from combat when it got closer to him by the time the battle ended, he was sweating from the amount of energy he asserted after the battle he looked around at the wounded and the dead putting a Drachma coin in the mouth of every dead demi-god "what a waste." He said to himself "and we are supposed to be safe here?" he finished his job and left back to his cabin.

The battle was over, and Ben surveyed the field. The Hellhounds were gone, but many of the students were injured. A few were dead, and Ben saw a figure putting drachmas into the mouths of the fallen demigods.

"Sir." came a voice behind him. Ben sheathed his sword, all pretense of military discipline fading. "Hey Arthur." he said, exhausted. "What's the butcher's bill like?" Centurion Wellesley knew what Ben had meant. "Our losses are thirteen wounded, six of them will be out of action for a while. Rodriguez and Collins are dead." Just like his namesake, Centurion Wellesley was all business, which is something that Ben appreciated, but now he was tired. "Tell the men to stand down and assist the other cabins." Wellesley saluted and gave the order for them to stand down. Ben made a mental note to return his shield to whoever he took it from, but for now, there was more work to do.

Vic looked her knife over. She lay silently on her bed. Her dull bloodshot eyes met the serrated edge, without a trace of anything on it. No gore. Because Vic didn't help them. She herself hated dabbling when she could see the cabins of idiots fighting. She was going to get up, she really was, but then her vision began to darken like it always did. Small flashes of light. Mentally she counted down how long it had lasted. Usually only two minutes or so, but this time it was at least six.

So maybe the leader of her cabin wouldn't yell at her too much. She'd just lie and say it lasted longer than she thought it would, and the map was inaccurate. Yeah. That could possibly make the punishment more bearable, or she could just say the commands were too vague. Which was the excuse she normally came up with. Nothing new there. But guilt began to rise inside of her. People probably died. What if they were her cabin mates? The wounded, if there were any-

She stopped her thoughts, and closed her eyes to get through her next words. "I'm not even going to waste my energy to go and check. Why do the good guys always have to win?"

Angelo made sure all the other campers were taken to their cabins safely and he made sure that the ones from Zeus house he made sure they got bed rest and the older ones that fought got rewarded with good food for the day since a celebration was out of the question considering their casualties. Angelo was able to keep the young campers safe but his brother was the one meant for leading an army into battle even if Angelo himself was the general of said attack. Angelo sat outside of their cabin on a bench waiting for his brother to come back with news on how it went. although Angelo was in the battle he protected the younger campers so he didn't know how they faired in terms of casualties despite helping the Apollo kid Lucas from that hell hound was all he knew so he sat outside and waited while guarding those of his cabin

Josie left after the boy took the satyr to the Demeter cabin. She went by Thalia's tree and noticed the golden fleece was missing. She ran to the main cabin were Dinoysus was drinking Diet Coca-Cola. "Sir, the golden fleece is missing." Josie said. Dionysus stood up and went down to Thalia's tree. It was true, the golden fleece was missing. He ran back to the Main Cabin and on the megaphone he said "Camp meeting at Thalia's tree immediately. " Josie and him ran back to the tree.

Michael heard his fathers voice over the speakerphone from the shore. He sheathed his weapons which for some reason he was still holding, and began to jog over to Thalia's Tree. There was already a small mass of kids standing all around the tree looking at the empty branch that the Golden Fleece had hung from. That certainly explained the Hellhounds flooding the camp. The campers were gathered in small groups here and there, Michael saw Marzia standing in the back, she was still holding here hammer as he approached and he wondered how she had fared in the battle, but obviously there were more pressing issues. Micheal walked up to Marzia slowly as even his father wasn't here yet and there seemed to be no threat at the moment. With his hands clasped behind his back Michael tried not to frighten the girl.

"Has there been any word on how this could have happened?" He asked her, he wasnt sure they had been formally introduced yet but he knew who she was, he made it a mission to know almost everyone at the camp.

Valen walked towards the camp and emerged a few feet from Thalias tree, and noticed a very large crowd of demigods and satyrs. She felt nervous. She had no idea how much had changed since the last time she had been here. She fingered har sword hilt nervously. She felt flames appear on her coat and swore. "Shit, shit, shit!" She ran her hand over the flames, smothering them. Her jacket smoked. Dammit.

Shay appeared in the shadow of Thalia's tree and noticed the golden fleece was gone and that chilled him before you know it some team of campers is going to be sent out to their deaths to chase after their culprit but instead of voicing his concern he just sat there and waited for everyone to say what they had to say shuffling his feet and watching was painful but there was nothing he could do.

Angelo got up from his bench and he lead his campers towards the tree to see what was wrong, when they arrived at the large crowd we could hear the whipsers of what was wrong and they kept saying something about the golden fleece so Angelo looked up and saw the tree branch and saw the golden fleece was missing he went closer to the tree that he could manage knowing his eyes wasn't playing tricks on him. the fleece really was gone and it explains why the hell hounds came but who would have any use for it, if it was something minor Angelo was sure they wouldn't bother with the fleece so this had to have some sort of larger meaning but Angelo prayed that it wasn't going to be for what he thinks its for.

Valen looked around and didn't see any one she recognized. She tentatively walked foward into view. She felt her jacket burst into flames again, drawing the attention of the crowd that was gathered there. She swore and smoothed the flames out again. Valen was afraid they wouldnt let her in the camp. She held her sword hilt tightly, fingers going white from how hard she gripped it.

After Vic rolled out of bed, and threw on some shoes, she was already gathered at Thalia's tree. Her eyes seemed to well up, and sort of gave her this crazy look. "People always have to mess with trees. It probably feels naked." She muttered.

The smell of smoke rose into her nostrils. Several campers looked over at a girl doing something with her jacket - she did a quick double take, and noticed the girl's jacket was on fire. And just as quickly as she looked, the fire was extinguished. A grin broke out on her face, and she talked for the first time that day, as her amber eyes darted around. "Not trying to state the obvious or anything, but first hellhounds, fleece missing, and then Fire Kid tries to commit suicide..." She said it loud enough for the campers around her to hear. "Yeah, I can be a pain sometimes, but these are all totally not related."

Shay looked over at the girl who just walked out and stated the total obvious "Wow aren't you detective of the year, whats next are you going to solve the case of who ate Mr.D's Sandwich?" He sneered and turned around to listen to the other campers fiddling around with his sword and shield, then he turned to the girl who suddenly burst into flames "By the way are you alright?" He asked trying to be nice and obviously failing.

Valen glared at the girl. "Yeah. Im fine. It happens whenever i feel a really strong emotion." She searched the crowd once more. Then she raised her voice loud enough for every one to hear. "I dont what happened to Thalias tree but I didnt do it. Im Valen from the Hephaestus cabin a few years back!" Valen gave the girl a pointed look. She took out a few metal scraps out of her pocket and started fiddling with them, turning out a tiny bronze owl that flaped its wings and flew around Vals head a few times. It flapped back onto her hand and stood still. Val smiled. Cute.

Marzia sighed deeply, she hadn't been expecting company, at the moment she was cleaning bloody claw marks on her arms; with an oily rag...not exactly safe. But she didn't care. She looked at the boy that stood beside her and squinted, who was he? He acted like he knew her, but it was clear that she didn't know him. "Uh, I think the attack was planned, they sended in the hounds as a distraction, while they stole the Golden Fleece. Of course, I don't know who would do this. But the Romans arrived on the scene arounf the same time...just saying." She shrugged, chuckling and shaking her head. It was a fair assumption, they had stolen The Athena statue, but she was acting crazy. "No, what am I thinking? Never mind, dont listen to that.'

"Don't listen to what?" said Ben as he walked by the great tree that protected the camp. In theory, anyway. Ben thought to himself. The son of Mars saw a boy and girl, both about his age. Like Ben, they had looked like they had been through hell itself.

He was kidding of course. He knew exactly what the two Greek-born demigods were implying. Ben, in his tattered purple t-shirt, wearing his gladius on his hip, did not try to hide the fact that he was a Roman. Not wanting to start a argument (or a war), he changed the subject.

"I don't think this was an accident either." he started. "If this was just some random monster attack, then how did they know to wait until the races were going on? The only people who knew this was going on are already inside the camp." He let that last point sink in. He sat down on a nearby rock and sighed. "I hate to tell you guys this, but I there's someone in this camp who isn't on the level, if you catch my meaning."

Valen was confused. What had she missed? "What is going on? What happened?" She asked. She felt her jacket starting to smoke again so she just tore it off. It had seen better days anyway. She just let the small flames lick at her skin, not even trying to smother them again. She sighed. Such was her woe. Having the ability to set things on fire, but not knowing how. "Do you know where the Hephaestus kids are?" She asked the boy who had at least tried to be polite to her.

Instead of screaming to the boy that no, she wasn't detective of the year, and she hoped that Dionysus would choke on his megaphone, Vic instead ran her fingers through her platinum blonde hair.

She closed her eyes, and said her next words a bit louder than her last. "Well, if Pyro Kid had shit to do with it, excuse my language, then Dinoysus - Excuse me, Dionysus obviously ate it. He looks like a Aardonyx to me sometimes. Possibly the first to eat a fleece, and to be a Greek god."

Trying her best to take the situation seriously, that one part awoke inside of her saying, 'Good'. Who would leave the most important thing in the camp unprotected? Who would do that? Seriously? While they were off at some lousy chariot race, they could care less about the tree. No - the camp.

But nope, Camp Half-Blood is extra safe! She thought to herself.

Valen just astared at the girl. "Boy aint you a ray of sun." She muttered. Wait. Golden fleece? somebody had found the golden fleece and used it to protect camp? And now it was gone? Ah. That would explain how the hell hounds had gotten in. She knew this because she couls see the piles of ash littered every where. Also see had heard them far away but had thought it was her imagination. Val sighed and started towards the Hephaestus cabin, too tired to care if the wine god punished her for it. He probably didn't even remember her name. She knew he messed up on peoples names just to screw with them.

"Obviously, if hellhounds were behind it, it was someone with a connection to the underworld like a child of hades, someone like me." He shouted "So if anyone wants to pass blame it shouldn`t be on our latin brothers and sisters or on the wierd girl, it should be on me.
