Wow, good post Sole. One question, can the barracks be assaulted? The impression I got is that the Hokage and Nikuya more or less left the area of the village to fight. There are little to no soldiers IN Konoha itself due to the shift changes and dinner being held during that time (plus the others got killed if I'm correct) with most of the soldiers being at those barracks.

Well you're moving towards the barracks. A small unit of shinobi are left to watch over the citizens that went into hiding in case things went wrong, shelters within the Hokage Mountain or ...something. Wherever the hell the people went when Orochimaru attacked in part 1 and all the kids left. That place. The soldiers have flooded out all 'wtf brah what's going on!' and so you're heading to intercept them before they rush to Konoha. You can get to the barracks but that's where the central amount of them are going to be surrounding, and that's where the 'boss' type will arrive. Basically fuck 'em up, but don't be that guy that needs to take out fifty in a single post because you NEED recognition lol.

Well, when you think about it, Itachi is the best at being an actual freakin' in the whole show. He's mastered the art of deception; can't do much better than fooling an entire culture. He committed stealthy assassinations, at night, from within the enemy's (his own clan's) domain. You know... kinda like a ninja. He is also so loyal to his lord, that he planned for his death and created a means of protecting Konoha from the grave. This is a strategy on par with the legendary Zhuge Liang. Does his personality seem like a fusion of pre-reformed Grinch and Scrooge? Definitely. But still... he's the best actual ninja in the show.

I was always bored when Itachi was fighting, it felt like Barragan, or Aizen. All he did was use powers a 6 year old girl would rule the Akatsuki with. It took out the skill of a character who was supposed to be skillful, and not just on a power trip!
Also his Jesus complex of self-sacrifice and saving the leaf from its sins kind of killed my boner during episode viewing time.

Yes I'm keeping this argument going. Also my true thoughts on Itachi may or may not be what I am displaying. ;D
