The leader said clearly unimpressed about the new guy. "Go on try-" the man started but suddenly was SMACKED on the side of the head by a incredibly strong quarter staff shot to the side of the head. The man muttered angrily as his new opponent stood on top of the boy not letting the staff off of his chest. "You REALLY know when the perfect time to be an UTTER BITCH is Shizune!" The man complained as the girl pushed the staff down harder into the guy's gut. "No violence is allowed on the premise. YOU of all people should know that Taito." Shizune answered bluntly as she looked at Joshua, "I was fully willing to let him haze you up until things started getting violent. Now get to class this is over as ordered by the security club." Shizune said as Taito groaned. The pink haired girl stood between Taito's group of pals and Shizune and none of them looked like they wanted to even touch the chick. She didn't even seem tough and was Taito just faking it? No he knew big tough guys like him and Joshua was certain that there was MUCH more at work here than just bull shit politics and the good act of will of a stranger. "Yeah I'd get moving if I were you. Newbies got lucky the glorified security commity saved your pale white asses." the black haired guy said as the big black guy nodded in agreement. Angelo sighed loudly before nodding "oh how unfortunate. such potential wasted on someone who only uses his muscles" Angelo said walking back inside following the other guy inside his hands in his pockets as if nothing ever happened "sorry I couldn't talk him down mate, usually my smart mouth shuts people up. Names Angelo by the way" he said smiling following the guy wondering if they had the same class on the third floor with him. From what Angelo saw the guy was a trickster monster and screwed with the guys mind and to Angelo that was funny as hell and he didn't want to be left out of it. He hoped that this guy would be his first friend of the semester so Angelo and him can mess with people and get them to do whatever by means of the mind instead of brawn, that's Angelo alright a great optimist whenever it came to bad or good situations. Although now that Angelo thought about it he didn't know why the guy was so angry he should have just used his head and avoided a fight all together but that was Angelo's opinion

Yumi simply watched as events lead to another. The idiot leader tried to mug the underclassmen or so it seemed. She didn't care too much though. Punks. This much she knew. Punks, delinquents, professional baddies. . . There were apparently a few different names for them. Some of them seemed a bit more "real" than the others. This was of little importance though. What caught Yumi's eye was the slight change in attitude and blushing of the idiot leader. It only happened after they looked at. . . Yua was her name? That's what she thought it was at least. Surely, people didn't change attitude on a dime like that, right? What happened to make that one specifically do that?

Now that she was thinking about that, she didn't really pay much more attention until two girls stopped the so called, "hazing". Yumi felt there was a difference between hazing and flat out mugging, but she kept her mouth shut until they were all free to go. Carrying her bags behind her again, she moved forward towards the school looking first at the one called Shizune and her partner and then Yua. Yumi stopped for a second in front of Yua and stared coldly, emotionlessly at the girl's eyes. Feeling nothing for it, she moved on without a word.

Ellie stiffens as Yua looks back at her with a smile that didn’t quite seem to reach her eyes. It only took a second for Ellie to realize that it was forced, and less than one for the dark thoughts to return. Her grip on her backpack tightening as her gaze drops to the ground and she falls in step behind Yua, silently brooding and fighting back tears.

Oh god, what did I do? She… she’s suspicious of me isn’t she? She sees that I’m just some weird poor girl and just want to steal her stuff. I look disgusting, my clothes are filthy, I have nothing… And she… she’s pretty, and rich and must have so many friends back home… And I have nothing… She gulps heavily as the last thought runs through her mind, the joy she had felt from her little escape into the forest vanishing as she realizes how pitiful she must seem next to this beautiful girl.

So lost in her self-degradation was she, that she didn’t even notice the argument at the gate until she heard Yua’s voice again, and she finally looked up. Noticing the multiple thuggish looking boys, she stopped dead in her tracks like a deer in headlights. From the looks of the slight crowd in front of the gate she realized something was going on, she hadn’t heard what was said, but he saw one of the boys staring blankly into Yua’s eyes until one of the others pulled him away and started screaming something about her being a trickster. Was that what a succubus was? Some kind of trickster monster?

As the non-creepo boy from the bus stop speaks up again, writing a check his ass probably wouldn’t be able to cash, the bot Yua had put into a trance seemed to get angry, screaming at the other boy. Ellie, terrified of an impending fight, just wanted to get away. Reflexively, she reaches out and tries to grab Yua’s arm, not wanting to leave her behind. Whether Ellie managed to grab her or not, before she could actually pull her away the random olive-haired girl takes down the large guy. A startled squeak escapes Ellie as she jumps back, possibly pulling Yua with her. Terrified, she just stares at the girl as she speaks, before looking at Yua and mumbling under her breath, “I… I think we should go…” she says, the twinge of fear that was ever present while on the bus quickly coming back.

Yua was taken aback from the events that followed standing there nearly in shock as they all unfolded one at a time. Her charm worked but from the way the leaders friend knocked him out of it showed her that she needed to be a bit more careful when she uses her powers. They named her a trickster demon, and the man called her a bitch which just made her blood boil. She wanted to show this kid who was boss. While she wasn’t in love with what she was most of the time, mostly due to the lack of friends that where of the same sex, but she wasn’t going to let some punk call her a trickster bitch. Another student approached the bullies from behind and tried to get them to stop by making them look like a bunch of dumb bullies, but that didn’t seem to work either. What did work was a quarterstaff to the head from an olive green haired girl. They bitched at the girl for breaking up what was going to be a fight before it could break out, as she announced that she was from the Security club”.

‘Security club huh? That might be a fun hobby. Stopping bullies and fights from breaking out on school grounds…’ her mind stopped her train of thought as the American and the new boy started to walk off towards the school. She heard Ellie come up, and then felt the tug as the girl grasped her arm as the events went down. She looked to her with a small smile feeling a little relieved that the girl had grasped onto her. She had to take a step back as the girl nearly retreated from the entire event. She was lucky not to trip over her things as they were still right behind her. Ellie said they should go as the events seemed to wrap up and she nodded.

“Yeah, let’s get going.” She was about to move for the gate but stopped as the girl with the instrument from the bus stopped in front of her staring into her eyes with a cold stare as if she was searching for what she WAS down to her very core. It only took a moment before the girl seemed to not find what she was looking for and walk off. In that moment Yua took a step back unsettled by the stare. She was not as lucky as the first time, and instead she tripped over her things and fell backwards unto her ass.

"Joshua Jackson I'm as ballin' as anyone in this school big man." Joshua said laughing heartily. "I wasn't really worried trust me eugenics are on my side unless that guy was some sort of unstoppable S Rank Monster. I'm first year so I'm just tryin' to find my way through the school. One hell of a opening we found though." Joshua commented pleasantly as he smiled widely. Joshua's smile got wider as he noticed that the area he walked into was luckily the same area that held his class room. Joshua memorized what room number he'd be in and while he didn't know his teacher's name he was sure missing the first day of class by a mishap wouldn't leave to big of a impact on his record. I mean come on he was in a different dimension or what seemed to be one as he didn't know anywhere with bloody red seas from hell which satanic circles only drooled about. And a freakin' graveyard on top of that what was this Dawn of The Dead or some crap like that? "You know big man I'd like to talk to you some more but looks like my class room is just up those steps over there! So I guess I'll check ya later broskie!" Joshua said as he practically bull dozed his way past his class mates with his stuff. The class room of D-9 was his assigned class room. Hopefully that would be the only place he'd need to lug his stuff to because he didn't want to go to each individual class with his junk. However Joshua's mind and expectation turned into a huge mess as he got into the class room and noticed the teacher was leaning back on his chair with a black hat over his head fast asleep. Joshua's classmates were all awkwardly doing their own things as well few were actually talking to one another and it seemed to Joshua he got stuck in the boonies classroom! "God damn it all to heck." Joshua commented to himself dryly as he found a secluded corner in the left side of the room that was next to the wall and threw his stuff down on the empty desk before sitting down dejectedly. "The one thing I wanted to be normal and it's not..." Joshua said to himself quietly.

Angelo looked at him confused wondering what he was talking about ballin' he said and also broskie? Angelo wasn't sure if the guy was normal well technically none of us were normal but really was something wrong with his speak pattern or was that just how people talked to other people? Angelo was also surprised when the guy blew past him even though they were in the same class so Angelo thought the mans actions were confusing although they were entertaining to see how he was so enthusiastic and happy even if Angelo had zero clue what he was saying half the time Angelo did come to this school to make friends so maybe someone who was as positive as him would help him make some friends and even be his friend. if the guy wanted to, his name is Joshua, Angelo knew he had to remember that name since he usually forgets a lot of things when he starts daydreaming so Angelo walked into the classroom and he walked to the front seat closest to the window he did come here to learn but he also wanted a good view of the sky when he starts to daydream about flying freely again. Angelo set up his pencil and paper ready for whenever the teacher would wake up from his name as he got ready he started to look outside the window and looked to the sky again, within moments Angelo was lost again to his daydreaming as he stared into the sky

Completely, utterly strange. That was the best way, it seemed, to describe Yokai Academy and its students. He had found it strange enough when he entered just to find that his teacher was asleep. Now, he had classmates who charged in just to immediately lose enthusiasm, and another who sat down and instantaneously seemed to have his eyes glued to something outside the window. Then there was the school itself, it seemed so odd. Everyone seemed so informal, and even the teachers had a casual air about them, and Ennosuke just didn't understand it. The teachers were to be their superiors, so why were they being treated like that? Back home, that could've gotten him...who knows what punishment, he'd never attempted to rebel.

Shaking his head of these thoughts, it occurred to him he hadn't even talked to any of his new classmates. That said, he wasn't sure how to start. There were plenty of them in here, so how did he choose who to speak with? He considered the one staring out the window mindlessly, but he determined it would be bad to rouse him from his daydreams. That said, the only one of his other classmates who had already made an impression was the one with the rapidly deflating enthusiasm. After a moment, he decided to try and talk with him.

However, before he did, he took a general look around the room. Everyone was chatting, sleeping, or just plain old existing. Yet, nobody seemed to have a task or purpose like Enno did. This, once again, struck him as very strange, especially considering his upbringing. What good were they doing if they weren't pursuing a specific goal? Then again, he had to grant, they may very well be pursuing a goal, just not one easily identifiable. So, with a sigh, he accepted that he'd been quick to judge and dismissed that. So, he stood up and moved to sit by the, as Enno had decided to call him, deflating boy. After taking a seat, he greeted "Hello. I'm Hayakawa Ennosuke, whats your name?"

Angelo looked up seeing a nice girl walk into the classroom, already she was focused and ready to work. she seemed like the kind of person that Angelo may need help from in the future so it would be wise if he got on her good side early. at least that is always how its portrayed on tv about the new kid and how they would work together in their rooms on homework although Angelo doubt it would be exactly like tv but it was still something to try so he stopped daydreaming and he waved to the girl "hi my name is Angelo Ortega nice to meet you" Angelo said hoping he sounded okay to her and not like that other guy Joshua who he couldn't understand half the time. Angelo smiled and waved and said hi that's what he was told to do when initiating contact with someone for the first time, always make a good first impression so Angelo couldn't say anything stupid this early

he smiled back at her. Yes! first contact success now to make small talk with the girl yumi she said her name was. "same to you, its nice to meet a good person like yourself." Angelo said and it wasn't that he didn't notice her smile meant something more but Angelo being ignorant of making friends he didn't know what it should mean to him that she smiled in an odd way "im not sure if we should say what we are but for future reference im known as the thunderbird, what are you if you don't mind me asking?" he said not sure if they were allowed to explain what they really were under their human forms but it seemed like a good way to strike a conversation. that was the next step in making friends initiate a conversation by asking stating something and then asking a question to the person

okay plan one failed, gotta come up with a new plan quick! she doesn't look to happy to him about asking that question so he had to come up with something more general to talk about, he needed to keep the conversation going or to at least let it end on a good note. " right sorry about that. I really didn't know that, so um how about I ask you what your think your favorite class will be?" he asked thinking that was just general enough to get a conversation going about something simple so he could make sure she didn't think he was stupid or anything. He wouldn't mind if he actually made friends but it would hurt if he failed in his first attempt

Angelo smiled slightly, alright he has her back on track and smiling again which was always a good sign but at this point he was funning on whatever his smart mouth would get out. so he responded "to be honest im not really sure but I think ill like the literature classes. I always considered myself a good writer so now's my chance to show it off" Angelo said with a smiled leaning his head against his hand his neck getting a little sore from looking in her direction for so long, but it would be worth it if Angelo made his first friend on the first day. That would really help his confidence in the future if he was able to manage that feat

After what seemed like half an hour of the class being in purgatory one of the classmates finally got up and walked up slowly breathing in slowly with no smile on her face. She had short curly pink hair and yellow eyes and she leaned next to the teacher sitting down. Joshua took interest in this as he'd been staring at a wall for the past half hour or so it seemed to him and watched as the girl futilely tried to wake the teacher by shaking him gently and whispering in his ear. "Hey sir could you please wake up sir?" The girl repeated to him four times before getting rougher with him and the man still leaned back on his chair as if he had not noticed a thing. He was out like a large piece of rock. The girl got more and more frustrated and more of the class started to notice her as she started to shake him by the collar. "SIR WAKE UP ALREADY!" She shouted before finally getting fed up with it and moved back to her seat in the back of the room where she told something to a girl sitting next to her whom he, Joshua, couldn't see because of a rather big man sitting between him and the seats in the back.

However luck seemed to finally be on his side as the door opened and a few more students fell into the room accompanied by a rather dapper looking gentleman with a suit and a tie looking like some sort of high class college professor. The man adjusted his tie before looking at the students and the his gaze fell upon the sleeping teacher. "Well then...this is expected a failure is always a failure." The teacher said angrily and quietly, Joshua only heard him due to his enhanced hearing. The teacher walked up to the man and shook his head, "Eito time to get up you slobbering jackass!" The man shouted this time before kicking the chair out from under the teacher causing the teacher's head to smash into the chalkboard and the man fell onto the ground heavily while Joshua stared in disbelief. Did he watch a teacher murder that man!? Joshua's fears were put to rest quickly as before he could even move their homeroom teacher 'Eito' groaned out in annoyance as he pulled himself up. and yawned deeply, "Oh I see....uh yeah Mr. Kazuma..." The homeroom teacher yawned out as he shook his head, "How many times do I have to catch you slacking off! You're such a...." The man said shaking his head, "Whatever how you got this job is beyond me to this day but you got it so don't screw up it's time for you to meet your homeroom class and explain to them any questions. I'm leaving....and if I catch you again I will report you." Mr. Kazuma said as he backed off through the doorway leaving a mostly stunned class to gape at their only slightly inconvenienced teacher to get up and rub some dirt off the back of his head. What the hell kind of guy walks that off like nothing!? Joshua said with his mouth and eyes wide open.

The green haired man finally got his act together after four minutes of stretching and yawning, "Alright clas-wait a second something's missing...." The man immediately interrupted himself as he stopped to grab his hat off the floor and stick it right on his head. "Now where was I? Oh yeah.....I was saying hello." Eito commented with disdain and clearly still tired from his 'nap'. Welcome to The Yokai Academy For Monsters....not all monsters because apparently that's how our headmaster works but regardless welcome. I am the Homeroom Teacher of this class and my name is Eito Tazuma. Call me Mr. T if you like....no not the black guy me the green haired guy with the cool hat." Mr. Tazuma stated as he wrote his name on the board followed by a crude scribbling of the movie star Mr. T with a big X through it. He followed up with leaning on the side of the wall and looking at the classroom, "You're all here to get along better with humans and blah blah blah you know this shit don't you kids? I'm just saying it because I'm entitled to do so and because I have to. I find it a useless waste of time." Tazuma commented casually with a chuckled as one of the students raised his hand, "Why on Earth were you sleeping sir?" the boy asked as Eito raised an eyebrow, "Because I was tired. Good thing you asked because I was just about to ask if you guys had any questions for Uncle Tazuma up here that don't involve my personal life or any profanity before I get into the good stuff." Tazuma asked casually as he played with one of his long strands of green hair.

Ellie was too busy quaking in her boots at the conflict, trying to figure out what the hell was going on, to notice the smile on Yua's face. Her fight/flight instincts were screaming at her and she just wanted away from that place right that moment and it was taking every bit of willpower she had to stay there with her, at least she hoped, new friend. She warily watches the boys head up towards the school and releases a relieved sigh, still rather tense, but glad that the conflict had now passed. She wasn't really paying attention to what was going on around her, and actually released a slight yelp of surprise as she felt herself suddenly off balance, reflexively letting go of Yua's arm as she tries to regain her balance.

Once she's steady on her feet she looks around, slightly baffled. What just happened? It took a moment for her to notice Yua on the ground, and she gasps worriedly, -Oh gods, she tripped and I just let her fall, I should have tried to catch her. What is wrong with me? what kind of friend would just let go and let her fall?- she mentally berated herself as she scurried around the Luggage and took Yua's hand, trying to pull her to her feet, "I'm sorry I'm sorry I didn' mean to let go!" she apologizes worriedly as she scurries around to try to pick up the luggage that Yua probably knocked over when she tripped over it

Yua had closed her eyes hard as her butt hit the ground and she was nearly sprawled across her luggage behind her. Her ears where ringing in her head as she looked up and saw Ellie grabbing her and pulling her to her feet as she apologized for not holding on as she fell. She steadied herself as she made it to her feet, and looked back to everything she tripped on as Ellie was picking up her things. She took a second to try and stop her from doing so.

“Oh, no, no, no. Don’t. It’s okay. If you would have held on to my hand I would have brought you down with me.” She paused as she started to grab for her own things and get ready to move once more. She smiled as she looked to Ellie as she grabbed another piece of luggage and strapped it onto her back before looking up at the school and seeing almost everyone cleared out of the yard and into the school. She grasped Ellie’s hand once more.

“We are late to class! Let’s go! We have to hurry!” she nearly yelled to the cat girl as she half dragged the girl along into the school with the rest of her things attached to her or in the hands of the cat girl. She rushed to look for a student that she knew from the bus. She looked from room to room as she tried to recognize the class room number she needed. She almost passed it in her haste and skidded to a stop in front of the room as some other students entered. She luckily didn’t crash into a teacher that seemed to have just finished giving their homeroom teacher a good reaming for sleeping on the job. She looked back to Ellie as she lowered her voice and whispered to the girl.

“Good, it seems like we made it on time.” She looked back and entered the room as she let go a Ellie’s hand, and made her way over to a window seat and put down her stuff around the seat before sitting down and looking to the now talking teacher with the large hat. Shook her head as the teacher seemed to not like his job, nor take it seriously. She didn’t know what to say as the man simply answered why he was sleeping with the truth. She looked to Ellie, and waved to her to signal that she wanted her to sit near her. She was trying her hardest to get the girl to like her, though she wasn’t sure how well that was working.

"Huh? You know girls I may have fallen asleep but at least I'm not late you know." Mr. Eito said as he called out the girls just now walking into the room. "You know I'm not repeating myself so I assume no one has no questions?" Eito replied plainly as he looked about the classroom only to find Joshua holding up his hand hesitantly. "Yeah what is it big guy?" Eito asked pleasantly as Joshua coughed awkwardly, "Well you see Mr. Eito sir-" Joshua started as Eito groaned, "Call me Mr. E if you have to I prefer not having my surname used." Eito replied as Joshua's face frowned in anger at being interupted before he calmed down quickly and coutinued, "Of course Mr. E I hope you don't take this as a back handed comment but how long have you been teaching sir?" Joshua asked as Eito's eyes turned into confused circles as he thought about it, "Odd question but I'd say six years maybe." Joshua wasn't so sure he liked that answer because of that last word but whatever he was fine with no knowing the definite version. "Anything else?" Joshua thought about it as he asked once more another question, "I am wondering if you were planning on inform us about the school sir." Joshua said as Eito laughed hard, "What didn't you read the pamphlets that came with your stuff kiddo? Of course I will it's my job but I assumed you'd rather not listen to me flap my gums. I hated that when I came here I'm a much more....proactive teacher it's up to you what you want to do it's just my job to guide you there." Eito said with a laugh and a smile and thumbs up as well.
