Hmm. Out of curiosity, would human ethic groups similar to the classical Hellenes (ancient Greeks) or Latins (Romans) fit in the setting? They could just exist in the fringe territories as encroaching border nations preying on the dying Empire, or on a island that has entered a period of isolation, similar to Feudal Japan.

Welcome data,
I imagined the Southerners a mix of Mediterranean cultures, including Arab ones. Narven infrastructure would resemble the Greeks'. Ethnic groups such as the Vikings and Celts are the Northerners. Romans would probably fit more into the Empire's Southern part, but the weaponry in this land is more advanced, and they don't use Roman armour, shield and weapon, styles, since they are more of the early middle ages I believe. What you don't find information on, you can invent during the RP. If you're unsure about it, feel free to post or PM me.
It is a fantasy setting so historical accuracy is of the least importance. Just a note, Dwarves don't have firearms in this setting. They haven't gotten there yet.

And data, the Empire isn't dying at all, it is by far the strongest Kingdom from them all. Tharvan has immense power and the only 2 alive, hatched Dragons in his possession, as well as a massive and advanced army.

Also, new race added: Foreas. And fixed some spelling. Short overview of major cities is on its way.

Ah. I'll probably write something up later today when I have the time, and can get my creative juices flowing.

Do you think we should start after data, Frettzo and LeeRoy have posted their CSs? We aren't as many as I hoped but I guess its fine. I'll make a couple of chars as well, specially because Fluffy Warlord is now sort of isolated, and we have no elves either. Which is a shame.
Anyone else can join along the way

Up to you Fluffy, I think I'll make a Gran'zul char, and an old Elf char.

Frettzo, just write something, like an intro on how you'd start the rp. I'll link your CS soon but I'm reluctant to do it now because its very tiresometo do it from my phone

I'm fine with that. I've been mentally planning out what routes I'd like for my character to take for the past few days. I can't wait to start!

Name: Sir William of Rivermead
Appearance:
Race: Human, Northener
Societal Position: Aristocrat, Knight

Text of whatever: as a Hedge-Knight, William rules over a quiet backwater long forgotten by not just men, but seemingly the Gods themselves. While he doesn't quite mind the isolation, he wishes the damn Count would send heralds to him every once in awhile, if only to have a temporary distraction from the complaints of the irritable Peasantry. If you need a description of his estate, it's a run-down dusty Manor with a smelly village surrounding it. The Village is quite small, and really quite smelly as the free men rarely bathe, and the Serfs are literally spooked by running water.

The Village luckly isn't completely helpless; there's a local blacksmith and a small church, both of which probably hold more influence than William ever will, and has a economy that literally revolves around hunting the local wildlife. The wildlife also smells, and generally only adds to the never ending stench. The population might be a little less than a hundred, but William suspects there's only a couple dozen small folk left, as most people packed their bags and simply left for greener pastures. Thus leaving him with only the dirty Serfs, and the local fanatics that worship the Forest (which includes the Blacksmith, unfortunately).

But once he was a Brave Knight who fought for the Duke of Rivermead. After years of devout service to the Duke, he was eventually rewarded him a small estate. William, and strappling young man, jumped for joy. He had finally won a estate of his own, a clear show of his innate heroism and bravery! Little did he know, he was getting assigned to the one estate nobody wanted. At first William tried to make the most of it, but as the years went on, he realized just he was essentially cursed with what's possibly the worst manor in the entire continent. No high-born woman would even look at him, not willing to get landed to the most worthless and smelly plot of land, where the local drunk Peasants never bathe and sacrifice Squirrels to some God that could care less.

But now he hears rumors of war, and wonders if he could have one more chance at glory, and way out of this rut and into something greater. Something grander, something better than lording over smelly Serfs that don't even respect him! But that being said; he heard about the 'rebellion' from a local drunk who regularly talks to turnips.

William also has three siblings, all three of which are far more successful than him, and has a innate fear of Rabbits.

Data, the picture doesn't work. You missed a colon between the "http" and the "//".
The guy however, seems more of a MiddleLander to me. Northerners are the Faxaoans and they are more viking-like. Rivermead IS to the north and all, I agree, but just for clarity's sake, all Northerners have detached from the Empire to form the Kingdom of Faxaos.

If you change the your char to be a MiddleLander, its perfect.

Btw: Do all of you have a general idea of what their characters will do at the start of the RP?
Also, across the RP, you might hear of legends, which may or may not be true or have a hint of truth in them.

Name: Zarkhun
Race: Gran'zul
Appearance: Like all Gran'zul, he has green skin, has big fangs protruding from his lower lip and has curved horns coming out of his skull just above his eyebrows.

He is the chief of the Urkan tribe, and paints his body accordingly. He has swirling shapes on his chest and arms, mostly red and black and yellow in colour. The most important part however, is definitely the big V shaped red symbol with two short yellow lines going perpendicularly through the two lines forming the V. The bottom of the symbol starts from just above his belly and finishes at each of his shoulders.

His clothing consists of rough leather, held on his hips by a strong belt, and metal rings along his arms. He has two thick strips of the same leather as belt, going across from one shoulder, down across his body. These strips hold his weapons, two great double-axes. He uses both with one hand each, making him look very fierce during combat. The axes were in reasonably good shape, given that he sharpened the edges with a whetstone as a way to idle and pass time, specially during watch.

A little intro: The wind was fresh and chilly, especially after the hot day. Zarkhun was marching with about thirty other Gran'zul, most being part of his village, but not all. No one spoke as they marched across the great plains, east of the Hadarac.
The Gran'zul were all thinking, mourning. His village was destroyed a couple of weeks ago, when the males were out to attack a group of men who were spotted traveling through their land. The village was burnt down, with bodies of Gran'zul and humans alike, lying on the floor. Not many of the other races knew this, but female Gran'zuls were fearsome fighters, as well as very strong, compared to other races. However, humans had the numbers, and the foolishness, to attack and destroy a Gran'zul village, at the cost of many of their lives.

The first thing the Gran'zuls did, was catch up to the group of humans, and brutally murder them all. Anger and rage cause them to kill everyone off within less than a minute. After that, the village had nothing to do, they failed to protect their families and homes. There was one thing left though: revenge.

So the Urkan tribe set out to stop these once and for all. They came across a few other Gran'zul, wandering in small groups, probably the survivors of some other attacks. Instead of killing them, Zarkhun asked them to join, to avenge their people.
That is how Zarkhun is now heading to human lands, to lay waste to villages and finally, kill the human tribe leader himself, or die fighting.
