I was thinking, werewolf bites and scratches leave scars in human form so maybe he scratched Miss Carrow (on accident? On purpose?) In one of their earlier years.

Doing it during the story is an even better idea! I imagine a longstanding rivalry between the two- Ailsa trying to prove she's better than a werewolf and vice versa. I'll PM you an idea. ^_^

I moved around a bunch of the accepted applications. I have sorted the students into their houses under the description of the houses. Furthermore, under the accepted characters it now lists your character, house/position, and your username.

We currently have no Gladium students and no head for the Viserious House, if anyone wants to grab the position.

If RumikoOhara doesn't show up soon, would someone mind helping me Co-GM this? I'm worried about doing it alone as my HP-lore isn't as tight as everyone else's. =S

I would absolutely offer my help as a CoGM, but I'll be busy moving 800 miles until August 7th. I could help more after, but until then, I'll be writing from my phone 99% of the time.

And I might make a Gladium, but treat her more like an NPC and see how she goes. A brown-noser Prefect and skulker of the halls ^__^

Dont feel obliged to make a Gladium simply because there is none. I can easily fill the spot with my own character.

EDIT: Also, I know it sucks, but I'm going away on Thursday and won't be back until next Wednesday. I will try to get on via mobile as much as I can but it definitely won't be as often. =(

I'm just going to post this here for my own reference and for any characters taking professor Ayala's arithmancy class. They'll be important eventually.

Anywho, I look forward to it. Actually, to take the burden off you, I've been considering NPCs to fill the other slots. As in, one of us makes an NPC for, I don't know, the nurse but it's able to be controlled by everyone so long as we keep to the character?

but not -proper- trouble, I expect. From what I see, he's more of a jokester? Tai is an all-out troublemaker, with her odd mix of friends.

The way I see it, Tai will start it off. You'll notice in some of my posts that I'll go into more depth for Seranity and Betel so they know how to interpret things, but if Tai says "I'm bored" it'll mean "Let's do something stupid."

Felix will either provide the reason or the objective, with his curious nature, he'll probably reply with "I wonder what'll happen if" and it'll all spiral from there.

Cammy is going to be the one who'll try to stop them both from doing whatever it is she's doing, since she's colder and more logical than Tai.

...Tai's Sirius, Felix is James, and Cammy is Remus. OH GOD I JUST NOTICED.

Arithmancy Numbers, which are the basis for divination through arithmancy. The numbers have different meanings- for example, 5 represents instability and imbalance, 9 represents absolute completion (seeing as it's a complete number. 3*3=9) There's 3 numbers for people (though places and objects tend to only use the first) that represent character (The actual personality), heart (inner life, fears, hopes, and secrets), and social (the perceived personality).
The numbers are determined by adding the "value" of the letters in someone's name, adding them up, then reducing the value until you end up with a number that is 9 or under (say you have a value of 49, 4+9=13, 1+3=4). The number that you end up with is the personality number. The same process is repeated with vowels (heart) and consonants (social).

These numbers can be used to see which decisions are favorable. Someone with a personality of 8 will want to schedule events for days whose number is reduced to 8 (8th, 17th, etc.), or buy products that have names that reduce to 8.

That's the basics, one can go deeper to dig out the hidden relationships between the numbers of people and events.

Haha, Fane's not against proper trouble, he'll do whatever as long as it doesn't specifically hurt someone's feelings/upset others. As long as none of it's mean-hearted, in a sense, he will do anything. He's a kind of character that'll never back down on a dare and wants to try every single thing possible, explore everything and etc. And obviously that doesn't end up very well sometimes.
