Of course! Glad I got a chance! I was thinking of making someone who come from the No Man's land, but nothing TOO special either. I could tell you right now, but I think I prefer writing it out since it's gonna be easier that way. I'll also see if it works out as I intend that way too :P. As for NPCs, ask me anytime.

For the issue of the conflict, my one current idea I think is decent that would involve airships is thus:

When the war started Rose and Eve realized that they could not face the full might of Kantle, especially alone and to ally with each other would also be unacceptable or whatever attempts at an alliance broke down. However with Kantilian mobilization near completion they couldn't very well do nothing so they decided, in this one act of co-operation, to destroy the road that connected the islands to nullify Kantle main military advantage, it's armies.

However Kantle couldnt not just sit back and accept this. The Kantilian leaders had declared war and to have this war peter out without doing anything? It would have been humiliating and would greatly damage their reputation amongst their own people, especially the ever suffering poorer classes of Kantilian society. So they decided to invest in ways to fight the other islands without the need of the road, and thus the airship comes in. I think at first they would have begun with what they already knew, the taming and riding of the flying beasts that traversed the empty skies between the islands. However they found that this was not enough so they decided to construct the first model airships and this is where we are at in terms of airship technology, still in it's infancy.

On the other side Rose and Eve, thinking their work was done and the greatest threat to their existence nullified, went back to their islands and occasionally sent threats to each other and maybe had a few sky duels by their sky-rider people, maybe even raids. Like North Korea and South Korea. They would also do this with Kantilian sky riders too. Still most of their leadership now believe that Kantle is not a threat but maybe a few amongst their ranks know of the rising threat of the airships. Or maybe the airships are common knowledge amongst the leadership but not treated seriously, with a small ignored minority saying they are.

EDIT:

Also, do you think this kind of thing would fit the image of a Rosilian soldier/knight?

I think we should keep this thread (at least the OOC) Alive and never mention it to the newbies so that we can plot plan and discuss as needed. So are we bringing our current chars over or wiping and starting anew?

I think we can definitively bring our characters, but only if you put them in different context. I, for one, might make a new character. I might keep Maria around...we'll see...

I been trying to find the perfect picture of the character idea I had in mind, but can't find anything...and I suck at describing stuff. xD I might settle down for a more regular character after all. <<

Iarumas: That idea sounds good to me. Originally in my mind I wanted to start the first post with the first strike of war, by Kantle of course, against the other two kingdoms. To really get the way the war will impact different characters. But I've started to think that will end up slowing things down after the initial posts. I'm still undecided. If we do start just after the beginning of the war, I still want it to be really fresh and really raw basically.

As per your idea, would you be willing to take the lead in accomplishing that in at least somewhat relation to your character?

And yes I like that image for the Rose Armor.

Dri: I totally agree, about keeping this OOC as our secret hide out. Though twinkle is hogging up the biggest room, pouting with me, and demanding cookies. Anyway, as far as characters, its really up to everyone whether they wanna bring their characters over from here or create new. I was really planning to bring over So'kein, but I finally decided she was better off wandering away in the Eastern Clans world, so I'm creating a new (similarly insane) character. Really, you could bring over your character from EC, or even your old character from Roulit, or start fresh, its up to you :)

Twinkle (and anyone else this may apply to): I'm totally cool with anyone who wants to and is capable, to play multiple characters.

If we go by the story I have suggested, then the start point would probably have to be like a month or two into the war to give Kantle time to develop airship tech and for news of this development to spread. In the meanwhile the war up to that point and probably for a while longer would be characterized by armies of sky riders clashing, maybe these are the higher classes, people who could afford mounts or in the sake of Eve, those who could tame them.

I plan for Marren to be part of the upper echelons of Rosilian nobility, say the son of some well renown parentage or whatever. My idea for an adventure plot that would focus on the wild island would be that he desires the gem of immortality and to get there and have a good chance to get it he needs an adventuring team of some sort, and a way to get there. Hence come the desire to have an airship and a crew. To get this he sides with the factions that views them as a legitimate threat from Kantle and to counter it Rose would need a fleet of their own. However to convince the rest of the leadership for a full fleet would be near impossible so he proposes that they build one, let him captain it and sanction this expedition to the wild island maybe because of the hidden treasure and powers that reside there, maybe something there could make Rose completely safe against their enemies. This might be attractive because, even without their massive ground armies, Kantle could still field significant numbers of Sky Riders and Rose has only so many of it's nobility to lose before things start to get bad for them.

The first strike idea is still pretty good and I can do without the airship right at the beginning, or ever. However the first strike will really need to hammer in the message that Kantle can still cause significant damage even without the road connecting them and thus give convincing enough evidence that, the longer this war goes on in the same manner, Kantle will eventually win due to sheer attrition alone. Thus spawns the search for another way to either defeat Kantle completeley or to make the islands perfectly safe.

There are so many choices of characters I want to do...and I don't feel like creating multiple main characters. I am soooooo indecisive right now T_T

P.S: I suggest keeping the Roulit OOC more active, or making a new one, because I am pretty sure we have lost the interest of the new arrivals. It's pretty intimidating to have the GM says a bunch of persons will have more privileges than others, then having one of those person come rubbing said privilege in one's face without warning or regard to the person's feeling. Lol.

Iarumas: That sounds good. Marren can be the son of the king, if you want that close of a connection. The only characters I do not want people to specifically play as would be kings or queens specifically. Also, I think we'll go ahead and skip into it a bit, maybe I'll just ask everybody to include in their first post a little bit about how the war affects their character, directly or indirectly.

Note: On that thought, I decided it would be a good idea to create the rulers of each kingdom with a name and face for everyone's reference.

Twinkle: Possibly so. I'm gonna PM them, once we get this officially together. Also it will have a different OOC anyway, right now I just posted in the interest check, until we get all the kinks worked out.

Another Note: I got bored/inspired and jumped the gun, to start working on first post. I'm going to play a character, but I'm also gonna play the part as narrator, whenever necessary, to keep things flowing. Also since I'm not playing a character of any sort of importance/rank/involvement lol. Usually I would deal with it myself, but just on this first post I figured I would ask for some feedback, for whoever is willing to give it. This is first draft, and I haven't critiqued it myself yet. But I'm gonna post it anyway. Lets see if this will get us to a good starting point.

First Post (initial draft):
WAR has fallen upon the World of Roulit. Six months(?) have passed, since the relative peace between three very different kingdoms, turned to hatred and bloodshed. In one dark day, the war began. In one dark day, the kingdom of Kantle struck against both the castles of Rose and Eve simultaneously. Many lost their lives that day. Soldiers, as well as civilians, were slain mercilessly. Innocent people were terrorized and killed by those knights from Kantle. The less powerful armies of Rose and Eve were only narrowly able to defend their kingdoms and prevent Kantle's forces from overtaking them.

There was no doubt about the reason behind Kantle's sudden strike. The king of Kantle was already a very powerful man, yet he is never satisfied. He has become a man twisted with desire. Desire to posses the four magic stones. Desire to use the power of the stones to become like a god among men; perhaps even a god above the gods.

Though Kantle's wicked kingdom was a threat to them both, the kingdoms of Rose and Eve were anything but allies. A rift was still between them, for each of their rulers, were desirous of possessing the four magic stones as well. And in secret, they plotted, even against each other. The ruler of Eve desired to collect the stones, return the world to its proper form, and place the stones deep within the sacred tombs to be protected by the gods themselves. Yet they expected to gain great rewards from the gods by doing so, and because a blessed nation. The ruler of Rose desired to posses the stones, and use the great power to bring peace between all the people...so that they would all become more like the "good people of Rose Kingdom."

The armies of Kantle were ceaseless. Every day they marched against the two kingdoms. The heavy steal boots of the vast army could be heard like a dark roar as they marched upon the sacred road. Soon, it became evident that the war was all but lost. There was but one last resort. Rose and Eve were forces to form an alliance, and together they took one last and desperate measure to stop the aggressively advancing armies of Kantle. In the earliest hours of one day, as the first light began to grace the sky, and the silhouettes of the dark army could be seen marching up the sacred road, they struck. Three carefully timed explosions, broke apart the road, causing it to crumble rapidly, and sending the mass armies plummeting into the emptiness below, falling ceaselessly to a, no doubt, agonizing and horrible death. Finally, they believed it was over.

Yet, Kantle was undaunted. For they had been laying in wait, with their next move ready. Moments after the sacred road lay broken, even as the screams of the falling soliders could still be heard, an order went out on the island of Kantle. To the soldiers, knights, and even those willing civilians, it was ordered that every immigrant found upon the island, was to be executed immediately. The innocent victims were stuck. Many people from the other kingdoms had become stranded in Kantle when the road was destroyed. Whether they were residing, visiting, or merely passing through on their way to the next island; they were all executed. They were murdered without question, or hesitation, and left to lie in the streets like dogs. Many innocents were slain, and only a very few were able to find hiding or escape.

But such gruesome horrors were only the beginning of the strategy Kantle held. Seemingly unfazed by the loss of so many foot soldiers, they struck again. Without faltering, while the blood of the innocent immigrants was being spilled upon the dark streets, Kantle Knights rode out, upon a fierce fleet of wicked looking black dragons. They attacked the two kingdoms yet again. The dark king had been ready, long before the road was ever destroyed. He was prepared to let nothing stand in the way of his wicked desire. The areal soldiers prepared from the other two kingdoms, were no match against the ferocity of the black knights.

In time, though they battled together, the warriors from Eve took a sudden and drastic action...they fled from the battle, and left Rose's soldiers to fight alone. This was the act of treason which finally severed the connection between those two kingdoms. Now is the time that the islands and the people have become divided. The royal ones of Rose decided that for the safety of their own people, anyone found upon the island from either of the other islands, was to be imprisoned. And order went out to the people, commanding them to stay upon their home island. Travel was no longer an option. But it didn't stop everyone.

Just the same, Eve ordered that all citizens remain upon the island, and anyone from the other islands who was found, would be imprisoned, although more often than not, the warriors or even citizens would take matters too far, and those supposed to be imprisoned would end up dead. Those ones would receive a quiet burial in an unmarked grave. And though this became a common practice, the ruler of Eve seemed to take little notice or concern. The armies of Eve focused their power protecting the castle, and the sacred ruins so that the gods may not be displeased.

The war wages on, though Kantle has slowed in its attack. Some think that the kingdom has sacrificed too many soldiers and has had trouble finding winged mounts for their army. Yet, others feel it is just the quiet before the storm.

This is not a mere tale of kingdoms and wars, as so many stories which have already been told. This is the story of those ones, who lived within that time of war, a time when hope was more valuable than all else. Now let their stories begin.

Wow that actually turned out to be a lot more than I thought. I understand if you guys disregard that lol

Note: As I'm looking over it I've spotted a few typos, if you do decide to read it, don't mind that. I'll catch those as I comb back over it. I'm just asking if there's anything I need to add, or any story in it I need to adjust. On my phone right now, so editing out the typos from what I've already posted is a slight inconvenience, and I'm sleepy.

I'ma read that when it's NOT 3AM over here. Lol. :P I also settled for a regular human character. I wanted to play as a Centaur-type being that comes from the No man's land, but I'll settle for something less crazy. What,s the name of the guys that live in trees again? I'ma go for that one. x_x

I only need a picture of a particular type of flying beast...but I think I'll just write this one out.

For what you said above, I'll tell you same things people here told me. If you feel like narrating, fine with me, but try to enjoy yourself too. If you want I could easily roleplay a leader or any other character of importance. If there is a plot other than roaming, just share it with me and we can work that out.

On to something that I just thought of while writing the above,,,it could be interesting if we Roleplayed in a world where the world where the story do not gravitate around the players, but instead the players advance in a world much bigger than themselves. Most of us could play one of each leaders or important character (yet to be determined if there is) and make stuff happens. For instance, if a war broke out between factions, as it is bound to happen, it wouldn't be because of the players...or have anything to do with them. It's just a reality they we will have to face. It sounds ordinary, but what I am thinking of is literally the feel all around the roleplay that you, as GM, or us as aid-GMs, have to create through events that happen. Know what I mean? Stuff could happen miles away and it wouldn't affect the players themselves, but it would eventually change many things in their near future.

Marren being the son of the King doesn't really sit too well with what I had in mind for his background so I think i'll pass on that. Also your post is great, it covers near everything that should be placed in the setting. But if we are going airships maybe have a hint that Kantle is building soemthing big, like maybe have some people that have somehow managed to escape the slaughter tell the other islands that Kantle has ways of bypassing the road and still use it's massive armies.

Iarumas: That's fine, I was just saying that because I wasn't sure if I had given the impression that I didn't want people to play as members of the royal family or whatnot. Glad the post is good. I'll smooth out the edges and add in a hint of the airships and eminent doom to come *evil laughter*

Twinkle: Dude, you just blew my mind. Like, I get the general idea of what you said but I can tell you were coming up with this idea at three in the morning. Its pretty far out, and could potentially make an awesome story, but I think that for the sake of general simplicity, we'll just leave this as a wandering RP for now. And I don't mind doing the narration too, basically just for the sake of keeping updates of the war and the overall status of the world, and people can work off of that.

Also, people that live in trees? The only thing I can think is elves lol I had not yet included alternate races in the story, but I can. However I would just like to say that if your planning on playing someone who lives in No Man's Land, just remember that the people born from there disappeared long ago, died off or whatnot, and I'd like to leave their existence as unknown for now. So your character can be from No Man's, born and raised there if you want, but it would be better if the parents were from one or two of the kingdoms, so you would still want to list your characters nationality. (unless you're planning to unravel some sort of scandal of your characters parents being from different nations).

P.S. Just curious, how far off from everyone getting character sheets together :)

P.P.S. Where the heck is that Izaka guy?!

Idk, thinking of bringing in my original character from Roulit but there's a crap ton of back story involved and the whole magic deal he achieved. Not sure how I would work it, maybe include him in a sub-plot? idk

Possibly? I'm not sure exactly how to deal with that either, kinda depends on where you're headed with it. I would say just work it into the CS but that may be difficult.

How do you suggest I add more detail into that? I'm a little confused by what you mean.

Also, I don't mean to rush your CS, take your time, but have you figured out if you're playing a human or another race? I'm just trying to figure out how many edits I need to make to the introduction.
