Indeed Airforce, also you can do jump into slipspace and drop out. Maybe your AI manage to detect the Hive and the Valarious Intent on sensors so decide to jump to us? Loads of things could happen.

Excellent, I did my time in the USAF. One of the better decisions of my life I reckon.

So I spent the entire day thinking of what outside of the box breach the ARC troopers would do, and I thought of this; SS13 players never give up. If the Space Organ Trail event on Facebase is proof of anything, we'd rather fly directly into a fleet of baddies in nothing but an unarmed transport shuttle just because Those Syndies are going down damn it, then just go around them.

My space station is more likely to fight to the bitter end, and destroy a whole load of shit with it (Think teleporting plasma bombs into critical areas of star destroyers).

Well if you don't find a way to leave then they will end up getting fed up with sending boarding parties and just start shooting at you.

So, in looking around the thread, comparing all the sizes and weaponry of the different ships, it has come to my attention that the Jotunheim is far, FAR larger than I imagined it. Larger than our WH40k ship, even, and second largest next to the Hive.

Is everybody okay with this? God knows this was not at all how I originally intended it, and I would gladly re-class my ship into a different one of nearly half the size, but with pretty much all of the same arms principles.

It is all right. The only reason we re-sized the W40k ship as they tend to be absolutely humongous, 10km+ in some cases. The limit for length I am going with for playerships is 2.5km. e.g. Wraith Hive, Battlestar (Galactica or Mercury class from the New series or the standard class from the old series).

Mmm. The size still troubles me a bit; I think I'll scale my own ship down as well.

I mean, I don't feel that my kind of ship should end up larger than that of a vessel from a series whose main feature is that everything is really fucking big. I mean, the series I'm using right now is based off an arcade shooter, of all things: there's really no way anything the human in my series can create a dreadnought something larger than anything the Imperium of Man can make in their eras.

I think I'll cut it down to half size, and tweak a few other things while I'm at it. At about 800 meters long, it will still be very sizable, so no concern there at all.

EDIT OF AN EDIT: No, not that dramatic of a change, more like 30%.

Well, finally got around to watching Space Battleship Yamato 2199. I must say, the storyline is better than the original, and I very much appreciate the improved animation. Not that I'll use it here, but I do have some retroactive editing to do, mostly involving uniforms. Apparently I was working off the Star Force type uniforms, and not the Earth Defense Force ones (Star Force is part of Earth Defense Force as a special unit)

Well, the Space Wolves just got a big update to their flying power as they have just been given some unique weapons in the form of Hellfrost Cannons, which, as I understand it, are essentially lascannons that, instead of firing a beam of several thousand degrees, it fires a beam of minus several degrees. Would I be allowed to swap my Lance cannons for their equivalent in Hellfrost Cannons? Also, could I swap out some of my landing craft for the new Stormfang Gunship?
