Especially when it's already been established that said museum lobby is full of armed guards.

And failing the armed guards I don't think any of the various people there who already have powers would really hesitate too much before eliminating the armed squidthing.

Um, matt, um... could you do something a bit more subtle?Since, um, then anyone going to the museum is faced with something they can't deny is weird and sci-fi and an alien and they're not all supposed to know that yet and I'm not sure why the first reaction was threatening someone in a public place with a gun.

I did point out why. This isn't her first dimension hop, every dimension she hops to, tends to be populated by evil people. And she is a woman that prides herself on learning from her mistakes. But fine, i'll change it.

That... whole post (and response to it). Doesn't work. It completely derails the actual plot.

If your character is too inhuman to fit in... then wait. It's your own fault you can't join in this beginning part, so don't ruin the main plan (and keep some characters completely out of it because there's an armed squidthing in the door) because of impatience.

Your post could potentially completely derail the entire plot of the RP considering a squidthing with a gun charging into the museum and threatening people would cause MASSIVE problems for anyone who isn't supposed to know about other worlds yet and could ruin any point to a whole lot of things the GM might have had planned himself considering the ONLY thing that's likely to do is start a huge fight with the characters there that actually CAN do something about a gun-wielding tentacle alien.

Plus, yeah, you choosing to sign up as such a thing means you've kinda put yourself out of joining this very earliest bit of things.

And nobody at any point told me that there was no way I could join in at the beginning if my character was alien... In fact, nobody mentioned anything that even remotely resembled a remark like that. That could have been useful information when I joined...

Anyway, I editted my post to have her go stealthy.

I think most of us including the GM probably figured it went without saying that you'd have to, y'know, pass for human if you wanted to go to the museum filled with unsuspecting humans in the middle of ordinary, non-alien filled earth without causing a huge panic and disruption, without even getting into pointing guns directly in those humans faces.

But I could be wrong.

Yes, but Kyzan doesn't know that. That's kinda the point of a multiverse RP, people are where they really don't belong. Half the fun is watching peoples reaction to something that is normal where someone else comes from, but just plain crazy here. I mean, you are saying that an Anthropomorphic squid is going to make people freak the fuck out, but it's totally legit to transform into a cyborg monster slaying biker-bot? "Nope, nothing out of the ordinary there." And even if this is true, then that's really where the fun lies, the fish-out-of-water story. People going nuts because she's an alien, even though on the earth where she comes from, aliens are a common occurrence. And her reaction being "What's the matter? Christ, this is why I hate Edd Wood. Always keeping the green woman down."

Acceptable spelling and grammar required.

I am not sure how I can make this any clearer to people. We do kind of need to be able to read what we're meant to be reacting to.

You're ignoring the fact that at this point at least, that sort of thing is going to delay or derail the plot and mess up other people's characters and ability to interact meaningfully. besides, even if Kyzan doesn't know that that would derail the plot, you as a player should know that what you're doing could mess with other people's ability to play in the RP and react accordingly.

There's a difference between acting how your character would in the spirit of the crossover and acting in such a way and in such a time that the crossover and people playing in it get screwed up.

I did ask for help earlier so that I didn't do exactly that... An ask that fell on deaf ears...

Well, you're getting advice now. If anything I'm thinking nobody thought you would think it was a good idea to do something that drastic.

And I don't think anyone's transformed into a "cyborg monster slaying biker-bot" in front of the characters who aren't meant to know about weird multiversal stuff yet either. So no, no one is saying that's more acceptable at this stage.

Strictly speaking, um, none of the Riders we have are cyborgs.

But anyway, um... holding off on the crazy stuff where the characters who are meant to not know about it yet is a good idea. Since the plot needs them not to know for a little while longer.

I am curious when we can get our powers. I'm going to guess soon. Once things get settled. By that I mean when the GM calls the time xd.

"and what luck, there's one for each of us. This should be fun"

2 monsters, 3 people in the scene...I don't know if this maths adds up.

I don't know much about Kamen Rider beyond what I read about the original rider, and what I read told me that all of the riders were Cyborgs. And anyway, Kyzan's Ultimatrix does have a Human function.
