What do you like/dislike the most about the roleplay so far?
I'm really enjoying the concept of it and how much you're allowing us to be epic badasses. However, I feel like this doesn't suffer from other RPs that allow such a thing to occur. You know, give the spot light to a character just so that they can be an OP sonofabitch. I lose interest in those quickly because, either the chemistry between characters sucks mcduckbutt, the focus is only on making your character seem badass, without thought to what they contribute to the story (if there is any) or who they are as a person, or it's just hopped up on technicality and getting things perfectly balanced for OP character, which defeats the purpose and limits creativity.
I think you do that very well, Prisk, keeping the balance between heavy story and heavy combat. We've gotten a good dose of both and they're just as eventful and I want to invest as much time into both. And I can.
I also like how everyone loves their character and how they've created them. This is a weird group of people (both IC and OOC, but mainly Ex OOC because he is butt), but we all somehow mesh extremely well. The story, itself, holds on its own, but our characters lift it up even more. We're almost a 100 posts into the IC and everyone is still here. *Knock on wood*
The story is also very good and I love the genre this is in. Like, there's a special spot in my heart for fantasy, sure, but there's an even bigger spot for science fiction and Final Fantasy fulfills both desires to a tee (except my desire to not grind relentlessly to kill a boss (I am looking at you, Seymour in duh Mountains and Seymour inside belly of duh beast. Fucking zombify + full-life piece of shit. And then at you, Barthandalus numero dos. The doom timer on bosses was the worst thing SE could have done to me. I hate, hate, hate time trials, but a mandatory time-trial on a mandatory boss that is hard by himself? Yeah, you just killed me. 3+ million HP and I have about 10-20 minutes to kill this mudder fooker? I hate you, SE, but I also love you).
What do I dislike, though? Hm, the timelines can be a bit confusing, but I also like them a whole lot too because it helps me explore my character, instead of giving a reaction every single post. It allowed me to make a small story that helps to delve into who Roy is and where he came from. So, no, that's not a dislike of mine. Lol.
I'm going to hate the deadlines, though, since I just got a job in a damn warehouse this Monday. I weigh 120 lbs, have sat in my room for the majority of the summer, and play over 12 hours of video games each day. I also eat tons of junk food and my parents wanted ME, of all people, to take this job instead of wait from something at a supermarket or a fast food restaurant as my first job ever...
I'm just glad that I'm making 10 bucks an hour, even if it's currently a 10 hour shift of nothing but non-stop manual labor that leaves me paralyzed in my shower after work at 5 pm from Monday to Friday. I have told my parents numerous times that I hate this job. They were like, "It's you're first day! It'll get better. :D" next day was completely the same, except I could pass the time with 10 hours of comedy on Pandora in my ear. It didn't make the job better, but it made the time go by faster. ._.
What am I doing? Going on a tangent because I need to vent. Okay, well that's enough of a tangent for me.
At the moment, I can't think of anything that I dislike. Maybe some of the things Ex mentioned.
If you could change anything about the roleplay, what would it be?
Every single one of the men in this roleplay would be gay, if I had a say in it.
Ex knows.
What do you think about the group or someone in particular?
Oh, I covered this in the likes section. I think we all mesh well, despite being vastly different in a lot of things. I like everyone's unique writing style, whether it's the to the point and briskness of Black's writing or Rockette's more colorful, descriptive writing. I think we cover the entire spectrum of prose? Hehe.
As well, the characters have amazing chemsitry with each other, despite being of vastly different archetypes. It makes for an interesting cast that could very well keep an audience invested, even if the story was crap. And it isn't, which makes the situation even better. :P If we were a TV Show, we'd be high quality and classy af. Like Teen Wolf or The Walking Dead.
Do you have any general thoughts or ideas for the roleplay?
I would love it if you would allow us to maybe... submit ideas for Xenos? :D I'd love to help make some concepts for bosses. Ever since games like Crash Bandicoot to MGS, especially with its Beauty and the Beast series of bosses, I've always had a love for making exotic, unique antagonists to fight. It's branched into heroic characters, as well, provided they're in the right genre.
