Still, super impressive. My knowledge of DOTA is embarrassingly low, but it has similarities to league yeah? You have a lane you primarily play?

They are both considered MOBA games or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games. They have a good deal of similarities but I think maybe the resource and plot are a bit different. I haven't played much of either though. As lucrative as getting into the leagues would be, I never really got into it. All the same, good luck Gunner!

Yeah, they're similar in a more general sense (as in, you control one guy in a 5 man team and you try to destroy the other team's base) but how it feels to play each is completely different. You might be good at one but then go over and play the other and be really bad :p Turns out that the match has been postponed to a later date though, since the other team was having issues with the original time. >.<

Guys, I'm all for advancing the story, but timeline-wise. The majority found Varus, healed Hay, then argued for a good 10 minutes. Meanwhile Tearys kinda went straight to the colony and then Gunner vanished to partake in a professional DOTA tourny. If I had to guess, I think Tearys has had like 15 minutes, while the rest has had like 45. Then the rest started to wait. Course, I'm for leaving for the colony, I want to progress. Just logically I figured I should point out my time-lines.

Gloves, I couldn't help but notice you kinda took what Rennac said out of context. the violent bit came up after Hay asked what would happen if it wasn't safe and that the group in the colony were in fact looking to kill them.

Hay: "I know, we need to know, but still. What if it isn't save? What then?"
Rennac: "Stab first, shoot second, slit a throat here and there, and ask the last survivor what they were doing there with a knife against their throat. Surprising how talkative someone can get with a knife at their windpipe."

He never said he was going to do that to a civilian.

He earlier too went really quickly to just "butcher the marauders" and hasn't seemed to consider the idea that normal people in a dangerous and shocking situation can attack reflexively if approached by a dangerous looking group. He doesn't have to say he'll be killing civilians, the possibility is still there. And keep in mind Six doesn't know these people, he hasn't interacted with them before and this first mission has been a really stressful one. He doesn't have a baseline for Rennac yet to look at to say "oh he'd be plenty careful not to just kill innocents".

Sorry for the power post guys. I just felt the need to expedite the story a bit. If you lot don't like it, let me know and I make with the choppy-choppy on the content.

You will always have a place in this RP, but I don't really know how to get you into current events.

Could have him drop in since the team hasn't checked in for a while. And of course I mean by drop pod right in the center of the village. Could also use that to introduce everyone else who is looking to jump in.

Wouldn't another ship crash just like the first one did?

Really it all depends if The White Ones see it or not so it's really a random chance of... Yeah it will crash like the first one...

I meant drop pod likeODST. Basically you get strappedin and dropped from orbit only using gravity. Shock armorlike the set Varus has would absorb the impact when you land. You then kick out the door and start shooting.

What Varus' armour locking thing reminds me of is in Halo 3 when the Chief crash lands right at the beginning and he's found by Johnson with his armour stiff and completely unable to be moved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snufN7YTUTI at about 1:30

That's basically it. Only his position is more like he was in a comfy chair leaning back. Like at the dentist.

But yeah, shock armor was made for infiltration and entry, it's kinda clunky, but it makes a good use for keeping people still.

Oh and sorry for the delay, I had to make a few character do a few things.

I'm having some trouble explaining the sound that is being made outside the colony. Try to think like the stereotypical monster screech, but almost more bug like or primal. I don't know how to explain, so use your imagination until I can find a sound clip of what I mean,

Wait, would the White Ones be partly insectoid in biology? I do recall insects tending to get drowsy when they breath in smoke, a technique we used in my high school BIO class for a genealogy experiment so we could count the bugs more easily.
