Leah suddenly felt a chill, her blood running cold. Something was horribly wrong and when the new vampire SOLDIER turned up, she knew that was their cue to go. She turned to Matt with urgency. "Matt, we need to go," she said with fear about to turn back to their comrade but realising he'd already gone back to town. Leah followed and quickly headed back to the SOLDIER outpost, gathering her medical supplies and her katana and pistol before heading back out to meet her ally, the vampire SOLDIER. "What's happening?" she asked with urgency and slight terror.

"Vampire horde. Large numbers. Very hungry". Rayden didn't want to go into details so he just told them the situation briefly. "3 of us against a horde? I'm liking where our odds lie. Tell you what,I bet 20 bucks none of us die. You up for it?". He heard the howls getting louder and closer to the town and turned to face the forest, his arms and blades poised to strike out. "You might want to make up your minds fast".

Johnathan was ready at the walls. He was tense. He knew they'd be coming. he'd lose a lot of men, by the sound of that howl, he knew he would. This would be a cataclysm, even with the fog generators. However, if they used the smoke at the right moment, and were able to retreat back to the cave, he believed they would emerge victorious. All that was left was to determine the cost of that victory. However, suddenly, he realized something. He hadn't seen the vampires.
Looking to the edge of the forest, he saw nothing. Despite the fact that it was far away. If the vampires were on a bloodhunt, they should have been here already. But they weren't. That could only mean..... they were going after easy prey. They were going to slaughter the village!
Johnathan shouted in alarm, as he quickly rallied his forces. He knew this would be a suicide mission. Without the walls or the fog generators.... fighting a horde of vampires would be their death. However, he addressed each of the men rapidly. "I don't have time for a speech. The vampires are going after the town. If we try to stop them, we'll die. Are you with me?" After a moment of silence, the men cheered. These were elite SOLDIERs, and they'd been hand-picked for this. They were some of the best and bravest. He knew none of them would die without a fight. Turning to the gate, he quickly moved, preparing the cars.
"Lets go! Those vampires aren't going to be waiting for us!"

Dresden howled once more, rushing through the woods. He could smell his prey fleeing. The fear was tangible in the air, like a foul spice, filling his nose. The Pack ran, as they approached the village. However, Dresden had picked up a far more tasty scent. The scent of another vampire. A traitor. His smile grew wider, as he barked his orders, and the horde rushed from the trees, running on all fours like hounds, and moved around the vampire and the woman, moving on, not even giving them a single scratch. One vampire didn't control his bloodlust and made a lunge for the traitor, but one of his more sensible freinds dragged him back into order. As the vampire hordes moved around, Dresden moved towards the couple, growling in anticipation.
"The traitor. How good of you to prepare yourself for me. When you left to join these humans, you disgraced us all." Dresden doesn't waste any more time with banter, moving towards the vampire, blade drawn. He ignored the woman. She wasn't a threat. And he didn't want to kill her NEARLY as much. This would be a kill that would be told of for years to come. Hopefully, it would also instill some sense into the more rebellious youngsters,

Rayden's hair bristled slightly when he saw the first few vampires lunge out of the forest towards the village and them. Moving fluidly and using his vampiric speed, his wrist blades-which he had dipped into holy water at the church earlier-easily cut off the heads of 3 vampires, which fell to the ground lifeless. But more were coming from the forest. Snarling slightly, his blades flashed as he scythed through their ranks like a maelstrom of cutting steel. Vampire bodies fell all around him, headless but more took their place. Jumping back to the village,he retracted his blades and drew his double guns,Hunter and Predator, and fired at the nearest vampires. The bullets pierced their skulls and detonated, causing the sharpened pieces of wood inside the rounds to blow out the back of the head and hit the vampires behind the primary target. "You might need to get your hands dirty for this". When he saw Dresden,Rayden spat on the ground. "Dresden. Still lost,I see. Why can't you see that we could coexist peacefully? You just want to exterminate these humans like vermin. I'm sorry but I can't let you do that. My beliefs can't allow that. I can't allow that".

Leah looked at Rayden in reprimand. "You really think this is the time for making bets?" she asked as she unsheathed her katana. It wasn't long before the horde had surrounded them. One of them took a leap at Rayden and Leah was ready to move however it seemed as though the leader wanted Rayden for his own. Leah had no time to focus on that however, she had her hands full. She fought with grace and force as one by one, vampire bodies fell to the ground headless. "Dirty hands, no worries." Leah said, feeling a need to humour herself since she was starting to feel overwhelmed. She was making good progress however, she was slowing slightly. She caught a few cuts from their claws but she endured.

At one point, she had 3 vampires coming at her from 3 different directions at the same time but with one circular motion of her blade, she decapitated them all within seconds. But it felt like a never-ending sea of bloodsuckers, she was beginning to feel weakened. When Leah found a split second to catch her breath, she backed off slightly. Vampires were circling her and she knew she could be faster however it was too much. "Uh.. whenever you're done there, I could use your help. But you know, just whenever you're ready," she said surprisingly calm before heading back into battle.

((Remember the vampires aren't trying to hurt you. Just Dresden. I thought this would be over way too quickly with 50 vampires on your case))
After the first vampires fell, it was obvious they weren't fighting back. However, the quickly moved away, the stream widening to prevent more than a few deaths, as they sidled away, the corpses of about seven vampires remaining. Dresden advanced darkly, his face filled with grim joy. "Do you have any idea how often we've tried that? This isn't the first pact. We've made hundreds. And ALWAYS, we are hunted down. Had you had the guts to challenge me to a fight over your beliefs, you would have died with honor. Instead, you turned your blade against the Pack as a whole, slicing down blood brother and blood sister."
It was Dresden's turn to spit, although his spit was red with blood. He smiled, showing off his spiked fangs. Unlike most vampires, every tooth in his mouth was spiked and long, a result of his ancient age. He advanced with confidence, believing the young vampire to be not much of a threat. He swiped at the vampire, slowing his movements. A mocking strike, implicating his low opinion of his opponent.

Rayden stepped back just out of reach of the blade and holstered his guns. As he prepared himself for battle, his wrist blades slid out silently and locked into place. "I know a lost cause when I see one. And I wasn't ready to fool myself into thinking that I could change your mind,Dresden. The gap between us can never be bridged. And I'm not worried about cutting down those who follow you. For I know that the ones that prefer peace over violence would never join in your mindless slaughter". Having said his piece,Rayden eased into a battle stance, his blades poised and ready. "En garde,Dresden. If I am to die today, then so be it". His eyes flared with the fire of a fearless heart, unafraid of death.

Dresden smiled, as he prepares his blade. This fool may be a coward and a killer of family, but he liked this bravery. He knew that in a straight-out sword-fight, he would win. He was faster, stronger, and had more experience. And yet the youngling stood his ground. Dresden brought his blade swinging around, going in for quick strikes from the side, advancing steadily. No more mocking half-attacks. He'd earned enough respect to at least die in a real fight.

Rayden leaned backwards and barely dodged the blade, earning a dark gash across his chest. He knew he had almost no chance in a straight fight. But he had one thingthe elder vampire didn't and that was creativity in his attacks. Stepping in close before Dresden could ready his blade again,Rayden unleashed a flurry of stabs at the elder vampire, aiming for the vital areas such as the neck and joints.

Dresden stepped backwards, and grabbed the mand's arm, twisting it behind his back. The vampire had spirit, but he didn't have the strength or speed to make his attacks count. He would have been a great warrior, had he been given a couple of hundred years more. However, he would not get those, decided Dresden, as he flung Rayden over his shoulder, into a tree, which caused the tree to shudder. This fight would not take much longer, he knew. Soon, he would join his brethren, and hopefully there would be some of the villagers left to devour.

Rayden knew his attacks wouldn't leave a scratch on Dresden and he knew that the game was up when he felt his body collide with the tree. Holding his battered body,Rayden stood up unsteadily, the fire still burning defiantly in his eyes. He felt that several ribs were broken, most of his organs had turned to mush but he couldn't stand down in this fight. "If I am to die,let it be on my feet. I will not die dishonoured!!" Readying his blades again,Rayden braced himself for the final blow that would end it all.

Dresden stepped forward with a smirk. He held his blade high. He would make an example out of this lone, vampire. His arms blurred, as the blade shoots forward, impaling Rayden, as-
And then, with a honk and a flash of light, Dresden is hit by a car. You see Johnathan getting off, together with several SOLDIERS, as the cover Dresden in as much Holy Smoke as they can. For his part, Dresden screams in rage and pain, as he's forced backwards by the smoke.
Johnathan: Get in! We're leaving!

He was prepared to die. When he saw the light,he thought he would finally rest peacefully. Instead,he saw Dresdeb get hit by a car and covered in smoke. Rayden stared dumbly for a few seconds before limping towards the nurse girl with the katana, who had passed out from exhaustion. Fighting against the pain,Rayden lifted her and her weapon in his arms and limped quickly back to the car, collapsing in the back seat with the girl in his arms. Looking at the men,he asked them weakly,"W-w-who.....are you people??".

"We're SOLDIER! Now let's go!"Dresden broke through the smoke, and sliced the two SOLDIERs holding him down to pieces faster than most vampire eyes could follow. He lunged at the car, but it was already underway, and even the vampire wasn't that fast. Johnathan looked back on you, quickly handing you a vial of blood "You'll need that. We're on our way to take down fifty vampres. Drink up, and take a smoke thrower. And be carefuly not to get in the smoke, vampire."

Rayden took the vial of blood and after a moments hesitation, drained it in one gulp. Instantly,he felt his injuries start to heal over, though his more serious ones would take some time. "Well, there goes my 100-year diet of animal blood". Looking inside the box next to him,he saw several inventions that looked like fire extinguishers. Taking one,Rayden inspected it as best he can in the moving confines of the car. "This thing sprays holy water vapour?".

Johnathan: It's a thermal portable smoke machine. it has a range of 5 meters, and enough load for half an hour of spraying. We call ém smokers.

Rayden nodded in understanding, impressed with the ingenuity of the humans. "OK. So do I just lean out the window and start spraying or something?".

"We're covering the area in smoke. You're going to have to go in and around them. Run ahead of the first wave of smoke, and take them from the centre. Sorry, pal, but chances are you'll die. You still up for it?"
