Oh my god, Sweet Gin! No! Don't eat those! D:Do you KNOW how many different explosives and flamer fuel and poison and chem recipes those things are used in? D:

Personally, I'm a fan of ultra-jet.

Never got the addiction system in the games, though. I have one beer and suddenly I'm addicted to it? And not alcohol, just beer, so those ten bottles of scotch and five bottles of wine I just salvaged are useless.

Well he doesn't matter much to her. Her android body doesn't metabolize chemicals the same way as non-robots. And frankly I am in a crisis situation on whether or not androids need to eat or not.

Assuming they're built to be so much like humans they literally bleed like humans I would think they need calories at least to keep some minor systems functional.

And there are a bunch of otherwise benign or inert chemicals that are processed into hard chems anyways. Fruit left to ferment turns into alcohol. The active ingredient in cold medicine can be made into meth. And so one and so on. And given the apparent absence of regulation as exists in this reality I imagine many processed foods are already made with ingredients that can be broken down and turned into Jet or Psycho.

Well, I would think that that guy in Rivet city would notice if he never had to eat/could not.

They could have programmed him to think that he had to when they did the surgery.

I like to think to present the appearance of being a human the Institute had to synthetically grow biological tissue in some cases, which needs to be fed in some manner.

Though being so little I don't think you'd have an amazingly high caloric demand and can go on for a bit without needing a bite. Sort of like Robo-Cop's diet.

My dad used to share my little sister's desserts with her,,. he said that whatever the blueberry thing they were feeding her was, was delicious...

Me? I share jerky treats with my dog all the time <.< used to split them with her when I was training her while she was still a pup

I think we should skip forward until the train is going. The only posts in days have been from people who aren't there with us.

Jet is actually fermented Brahmin dung collected from Brahmin exposed to a particular prewar protein extract compound, and Psycho is actually a military designer drug. So both, ironically, are the hardest drugs to make due to the rarity of their ingredients (you still have the option of making them at chem stations in New Vegas, but those are one-time deals and in-game both are impossible to craft otherwise, so I surmise the primary limitation is ingredient rarity) - once you have either, you can use them to make a whole splash of other things like Turbo or Slasher or Rocket, and those use daily household items. Mostly Turpentine, Abraxo Cleaner, and Laundry Detergent. Sugar Bombs have a hilarious trend of being used in or containing the same active ingredients as the most volatile and dangerous substances in the Fallout universe short of FEV. They increase your AP upon consumption, which is an effect shared with several hard drugs, they can be combined with the 'mostly harmless' radioactive isotope in Nuka Cola Victory, Quartz, or Quantum to get a bit of a bang, and of course Sugar Bombs are in fact the primary and active ingredient in flamer fuel.

Sugar Bombs are the shit. '-'

Sugar Bombs are also an ingredient in Ultra Jet. So it's still a Jet component. But the original point made with Jet was not made to imply Sugar Bombs are an ingredient in either. But as far as Fallout chemistry though otherwise benign ingredients make their way into the world's chems.

I’m going to go ahead and throw in my interest. Is there anything I should know about the story so far before rolling up a character sheet?

This is the point where to at least give the impression the RP is still alive, and to keep it bumped, one might fill the time with character flashback. Or something. Find something to fill the time without pushing it beyond what Italian would have wanted, hope you're not pushing too many boundaries.

This is what happens when you set up an RP to be heavily reliant on one party at one - or any - part and that party fails to deliver because unforeseen circumstances.

I'm not blaming Italian for negligence, it is understandable if something comes up and prevents him from doing anything. We'll just need to wait.
