[ The crest of House Hunter; an arrow with the point facing right, with green fletching, over a dark green field. It is meant to symbolize their connection to their wooded home, and way of life. Their motto is ‘Of the Woods.’]
Lord Oswald Hunter is the Lord of Wildwood, Crystal Lake, and The Grove. He is age 40, very tall of height, heavy of weight in muscle, and pale of complexion. He is red of hair, thick-bearded, and green of eye. He is married to Lady Forflissa Hunter, age 40, born to a landed knight of Oswald's father. He has two sons [ Ranald, age 24, and Giric, age 20 ], and three daughters [ Sarah, age 22, Stacy, age 18, and Frida, age 16 ].
In other lands, House Hunter would be considered little better than country barons. Their home of Wildwood is heavily forested, and little is gathered from it in crops, meat, goods, or bullis. Still, they a proud of their ancestral home, and live a modest lifestyle.
Lord Oswald is a hulking giant of a man, standing over six feet tall, and weighing near to two-hundred-fifty pounds. He eats a great deal, for he eats whatever he hunts, and hunts a great deal. His eldest son, Ranald, takes after him, but is more of a cruel bully than a jolly giant, constantly torturing is younger siblings.
Giric is much more tender soul, who cares about his home and people. He strives to attain his father's appreciation, but is considering giving up waiting around his home, and becoming a hedge knight, that he might gain himself some recognition, or even a little glory. Lord Oswald has been trying to marry him off to Lord Isar IV’s daughter, but Giric has not been receptive.
His two eldest daughters are fair enough in looks, with Sarah already spoken for, and Stacy having a list of suitors sorted out for her, but Frida is rather frumpy, and Lord Oswald is having a more difficult time finding a man of wealth to marry her. The two elder sisters are known to be very gossipy and petty, while Frida is very shy and humble. The latter also allegedly writes poetry of unknown quality.
Lord Oswald has a rivalry with Lord Eadric, the latter despising Oswald and House Hunter as backwoods ruffians, but he very close friend’s with Lord Isar the IV of House Claw.
Lord Oswald's record of service to you has been exemplary, for despite having little means, he always manages to raise a full retinue, rushing to help fend off the Giants.

[ The crest of House Summer: the colours of fire arranged against each other in a semy of lozenges, meant to symbolize the fertility of their lands, and the courage of its House. Their motto is 'Hearts of Fire. ' ]
Lord Eadric Summer is lord of the fiefs Everwarm, Sunfields, Spring Grove, Blossom Hall, Riverside, and Littledale. He is age 41, of tall height, and strong in weight of muscle. He is black of hair, blue of eyes, and pale of skin. He is broad-shouldered, and square-jawed. He was married to Lady Aubry Montressor, born to a minor house in the Ordained kingdom, but she died of illness, bearing him only one daughter, Cynthia. He remarried some year later to Lady Aedel Summer, age 28, born to a house of lesser import. As mentioned, he has one daughter born to Lady Aubry [ Cynthia, age 18 ], who is married, and three daughters [ Emily, age 14, Mary, age 12, Rhowena, age 10 ] born to Lady Aedel. His daughters are all astoundingly beautiful [ even little Rhowena possesses angelic fairness ], and their lists of suitors are long.
House Summer is an old House, having held its fiefs for generations. Their lands are some of the most fertile in all of Lundland, and they thusly pride themselves on them. Having fought the Giants for generations, and taming the land with both an iron fist and iron quill, they think themselves the bringers of civilization to a backwoods people, and act with high airs, especially Lord Eadric himself.
He is a very handsome man, competent in battle, but even more so in administration. He is very tough on his daughters, insisting they aspire to be more than mere housewives, but to be educated, capable of at least reading and writing. He wishes to be more than a minor footnote in his family’s history, and seeks to increase the wealth of his lands, and expand his House’s power and legacy.
His record of service to you has been without issue, but has openly expressed that he sees you as little more than an overbearing suzerain, constantly forcing him to raise his own levies before yours. He holds disdain for Lord Oswald and Lord Isar IV, who he sees an uncouth brutes.

[ The crest of House Claw; a passant black bear over an icy blue field. It is meant to show the most ferocious animal of its land, and the origin of their namesake. Their motto is ‘Protect with Courage.’ ]
Lord Isar IV Claw is the lord of Isendale, Frostfield, Bearwood, and Haldr's Cliffs. He is age 46, tall of height, heavy in weight of muscle, light of complexion, black of hair, and green of eye. He is married to Lady Ida, age 36, born to a Knightly house under his own. He has two sons [ Isar, age 20, Daniel, age 15 ] and one daughter [ Meredith, age 18 ]. He has two sisters [ Lyra, age 48, Anna, age 43 ], both of whom are married, and with children of their own.
House Claw was formed when Isar, the first of his name, gathered the mercenaries he lead, and defeated a force of invading Giants. As a reward, he was granted the expanse of tundra-land he helped to defend by the then-ruler of House Harvestar. They have ruled and tilled the land ever since, with a tradition that the eldest born son and heir of the House always be named Isar, that they might not forget their forefather.
Lord Isar IV himself is a beast of a man, standing six feet tall, and weighing over two-hundred pounds. He glories in battle, and has not failed once to meet any invading Giants head-on alongside House Harvestar. He has been able to impress much on his eldest son, Isar Jr., and the boy takes after him in many ways, save for a degree of maturity and temperance that only age brings.
But Lord Isar dotes on his eldest son to the neglect of his younger, Daniel. The boy has shown little interest in battle, glory, or seemingly anything. He locks himself away in his room instead, and reads whatever books he can get his hands on, or fiddle with an abacus and parchment. If ever seen, he appears gloomy, and speaks only in mumbles.
His daughter, Meredith, is unfortunately not a comely lass, and though he wishes to marry her to Lord Oswald’s son [ the two Lords are close friends ], the two children do not like each other, and both wish to go out on their own ways. Meredith is a very pious girl, and wishes to become a nun in Bernwick.
Lord Isar married his wife when she was just sixteen. At the time, Isar had lost his wife, who did not bear him a child. The two have never really warmed to each other, and do not even sleep in the same bed of late.
Lord Isar’s record of service to you as been excellent in combat, and he gets along well with Lord Oswald, but shares a rivalry with Lord Eadric.
