You guys know Flooby is one of my Courts, right? I put it in there a long time ago, and Flooby approved my sheet several times.Although, seriously, I would prefer someone without my own intentional influence to be my Courtier (For the grand court), that way even if they disagree with something I do, they can speak it at the court, and anything else -- even their own opinions of my actions.I would think GM's would have the best NPOV. So, what do you say, Flooby?

I thought that was simple joke or placeholder, and forgot to ask about it.

I'd . . . *sniff* - I'd be honoured!

Okay, so I've been looking over the whole crop issue, and it does seem I made a huge error. I thought that peasants were given 1 food a year, not per season.

However, looking back and doing the numbers, if I have to give my peasants 4 food per annum, and they only produce 4.6 per annum (and that's only factoring in the farmers - the others are eating just as much for nothing), that means the most I will ever make surplus is 0.6 food a year?

Or is it that peasants produce 4.6 crops after deducting their own personal share?

0.6 surplus per peasant, yes.

Do you want me to make you a Taxes sheet so it does the work for you?

@Flooby, I demand that from now on, it costs 3 points (However much that is equal to in money), because the Taxes sheet literally fixes every and all issues, and it takes time and my brain to work. And my brain and work should not be in the same sentence. I've taken the classes to figure all the crap out for making these kind of documents and my brain still hurts from said classes. Here's a hint; I now work/have a job instead of go to college.

Well, I am quite interested in this and have started to create a profile for my lands. I'm having a bit of trouble to calculate annual crops and taxes though, but I am sure I'll figure it out somehow

Its (your fief's population - city population in said fief)*crop production constant,

Example:

Fief A
Scrubland (4.2 crop per population if I remember correctly)
Base Population: 3000
No upgrades
has 1 city with 1000 population

So, Annual Crop production from Fief A is (3000-1000)*4.2=8400.

Now, your population has to eat, so your yearly estimated surplus from each fief is Total food produced - Population of fief*4

So, in Fief A's case it would be 8400-3000*4=-3600 (This means that this fief consumes more food than it generates and should raise a red flag)

Taxes is pretty straight forward. For every single population in a fief. You get 1 bulli per turn. Cities is a bit more complicated and calculated differently from your general tax. It's your city population times the multiplier that your city's wealth provides. So, let's say that Fief A's city is a "Fair" city that has a multiplier of 4.

So, you taxes for Fief A would be.
Part 1:
(3000-1000)*1=2000 (This is your tax income from your general fief population

Part 2: Your city is taxed separately from your general fief population
1000*4=4000

So, Fief A's taxes for 1 turn would be a total of 6000 bullis.

I create automatic taxes sheets. Literally you put one number in and everything changes. It's useful to see if you can handle more troops or even more of anything. If you want 500 troops it will tell you how much it will cost you without doing anything yourself. An example of a messy one is with my Kingfom post, check the taxes there.

If you want to lnow more, inquire with Flooby

Welcome, my lord.

*bows deeply*

Tea will be served at noon, just after the tourney. Do come watch. Ser Janster decapitated three knights just this morning, and his rival, Ser Balmy, is trying to catch up to him!

@ jiwon/Fortunes: Aye, the math is correct.

@ So Boerd/Tucker: Yes, Tucker made a sheet to help people with their math. The sheet works, but I unfortunately have no way of giving it to others, as the format it was sent to me in was via a read-only google drive document.

*hands the mic back to Tucker*

Also, I can't force people to spend points to use your sheet. Besides, if everyone has a least a vague idea of how the math works for this game, it helps avoid confusion, and promote clever ploys. And I do so love clever ploys. . .

The next vassals will Ashgan's, followed by Outcast's. I wanted to save the best for last, but I've had so many ideas for Ashgan's vassals, I thought I'd just write the descriptions today, then finish the math tomorrow on my day off. Might as well just guzzle coffee all of Thursday and get Nex's done too, since I've finally come to terms with having no energy after work.

Looking to start this over the weekend, if everyone is ready by then. I'll issue out a role call come, say, Friday night. Everyone who answers by Sunday will be added to the map, and everyone who's on the map will be in the RP. Kosher, all?

I can't make a generic sheet to give out. There are too many variables to take into account. Even if I did, there would probably be too much or too little information for players

Off to work now. Tata 'till tonight/tomorrow!
