Indeed, if you never saw Project Freelancer. It is basically Soldiers in Spartan armour (However without the fancy biological enhancements). Each piece of armour has a special enhancement, speed, camoflauge, invisibilty, strength. Later on AI are introduced (ai fragments) that are a split personality off a main AI that help us further.

Also to Mista I'm not sure if Dessie wants to GM, I think Dessie just wants to gather people who want the idea.

If you like Machinima style stuff I recommend watching Red Vs Blue. The seasons that really apply to us are 9-10 but I personally like all of them naturally.

I think the main thing we'd be doing if we were starting with AI would be training and ensuring that nobody knew what lengths the director went to for his project to come to fruition.

If it was pre-AI as I said it would likely be in bids to get the artifact to make said AI. We can have a lot of fun with this, those of us who prefer more intelligence based stuff, win. Technical stuff, win. Melee fighting, win. Long Range/Heavy Arms/Explosives, win.

I can't think of anybody that doesn't win. Also in terms of AI even if we start with AI we should make our chars then chose an AI who we think compliments them well.

Virginia looks at all the available A.I.s. She doesn't bother to pay much attention to anything about them and randomly chooses one.

AI are assigned to them based on skills/personality. I meant OOCly we'd have to chose whereas IC we'd have no influence.

I say we start pre AI. Makes for a longer possible RP and adds some buildup before we get some really cool shit.

For those of you behind on the AI of freelancer they all stem from one AI, Alpha who is actually the consciousness of the someone though there are differences as Alpha doesn't have the same life experiences. The Director is unable to get more AI to perform his experiments augmenting soldiers with AI and fancy tech, as a rival to the Spartan program (Pre-war as Pre-War makes sense) so he has an idea. If you put enough pressure on the AIs mind will it fragment, like reverse engineering a multiple personality disorder? (For this intense pressure needs to be caused and varying stimuli are used). Also we need an artifact with something inside of it that splits the AI. As Alpha is subjected to different torture different pieces of its personality fragment. A fragment off its logic Delta(I think we should keep the names for our sanity), its childishness Theta, Deceit Gamma, Creativity, Sigma and so on so forth.

I think Tex should be ignored unless we're keeping the Director as the same guy.

Spoilers probably ish (RvB).

In RvB the AI each represent a part of the Alpha (the whole Ai;s) personality. As you want the AI and the Freelancer to work well together the AI were given to the Freelancers that they suited most. For example Theta who was very childlike was given to North, who was very caring ~ parently.

So in the OOC we would make ourselves an AI.

And then in the IC we would be assigned that AI, so our IC character would have no choice. Whereas OOC we made the AI for our character.
