Conell was slowly but surely making his way down the road from where the main group were gathered. He was quickly checking each and every car. He was definitely in need of supplies. Yeah, he was a part of a group now but he still wanted to make sure he had enough to take care of himself if all else failed. You could only ever rely on others for so much after all and in his horrid experiances it was best not to at all if possible. Whatever his reasons for searching he certainly wasn't having much luck. Most every damn car he searched through was empty and the ones in which did contain stuff were usually filled with garbage. He found a couple of lighters though, so that at least was a plus. Eventually Conell came to the car in which he decided he should stop at. He was a little too far down for the others to properly see or hear him if he called so that was probably as far as was safe. Or conveniant. Sighing in frustration Conell tried to open the car door. This one was locked however and there was a body inside. A man. Looking in through the windows more thoroughly out of caution Conell spotted something on the back seat that made him recoil in horror, revulsion and sadness.

Backing away he put his hands on his head, squeezing as pure rage rushed through him. As always, he lashed out.

“You motherfucker.” He shouted, booting the car door. “Fucking shit eating bitch.” He yelled putting his foot through the passenger side window. “Piece of... Fuck!” He shouted, punching the rear side window until it shattered. He stared once again at the corpse on the back seat. It was one of the average sized dogs. A border collie maybe.

“You fucking asshole. Couldn't even open the damn door for the dog. You piece of...” His rage flared again. He rushed around to the drivers side and booted out the window. Putting his hand through and unlocking it from inside. He grabbed the man's corpse by the shoulders and pulled him down so he was near fallen out the car. With that Conell slammed the door as hard as he could, pulverizing the head of the body. He did so again and again and again, cursing and spitting all the while.

“No head bitch.” He spat finally, panting heavily and getting himself under control. He took a slow walk back to the group, making sure he was in control of himself on the way. Finally reaching the truck once again he stopped, realizing that he didn't have anything to do. Luckily Sunshine declared that it was time to move out and asked him to drive the truck. He looked over, spotting Magnum who had obviously been at the drink again.

“Yes ma'am.” Conell spoke, walking over to the drivers side of the truck. “You should go with Sunshine.” Conell spoke blankly, nodding at Sophia so he knew who he meant. “I'm going to need to follow her so you'll have to give her directions if the plans still the same.” Conell finished, making room for the man to move. He decided against adding on that he didn't handle drunks well, even in his state he could tell that such words weren't fair at the moment.

John and the Gunny stood there, as Captain Leonardo headed downstairs towards the front door.

John didn't move for a minute, he stood still and attempted to gather his thoughts. He knew that he should probably move the bodies somewhere, otherwise they would start to stink. However also knew that he and the group would need to leave soon and get out of the Camp Pendleton area somehow because there would be hundreds of walkers in the area, maybe thousands, within a day or so.

"You ok, John?" Gunny Shull asked, obviously a little shaken himself after witnessing the calamity that had just transpired.

"I'm fine." John replied. "We need to leave now...find a way out of Pendleton, before more walkers show up. I'm sure there are quite a few roaming the streets nearby that could have heard us. I need to find my boy, so we need to keep our eyes open for any military checkpoints that those super stallions could have landed at."

John looked over to the Corporal. "I'm sorry, we haven't been formally introduced. What's your name?"

"I'm sorry, we haven't been formally introduced. What's your name?" The First Lieutenant said to Dustin.

"Corporal Phelps, sir," Dustin answered. "I was stationed at the flightline with my squad until the biters attacked. They all either deserted or became walker food. Even my commanding officer was killed. It's just me."

Dustin grimaced as he thought back to the moment the infected attacked the survivors waiting to board one of the Super Stallions and gain their freedom. If he had just moved out the way, he could have saved quite a few of them. But he had to be some kind of hard-ass and follow his order to the bone, which resulted in the deaths of more than a hundred innocent civilians and added to the walker ranks. Dustin took pride in the fact that he had managed to kill one of the attacking biters, but he would have preferred to have either saved one of his squadmates or one of the waiting survivors. But it was just absolute chaos with people being eaten alive in all directions. The entire scene was a complete bloodbath.

The sun was beating down but the wind was keeping her cool. Raven looked around the empty road as they passed another wreckage of cars, keeping an eye out for the dead, although Star seemed to have a very good sense for those things and would often get very edgy if any were around. Right now she was calm. The constant clopping of hooves had become rather reassuring and almost comforting amongst the silence of the wilderness. It was starting to get difficult to remember how noisy the world used to be, traffic, construction, music, thousands of people talking. Heck she even kind of missed the sound of planes flying overhead.

It was strange to think not too long ago she had been headed into Las Angeles to perform. The circus convoy hadn’t made it that far when the outbreak had occurred, and she figured a highly populated area was probably somewhere she wanted to avoid. Less people; less dead people. So she was headed out for the wilderness. She had more than enough camping and survival experience to survive out there on her own. So for now the noises of her horsey companion were enough for now, to the point where they were becoming familiar almost to the point where she didn’t hear them.

However there was one call she couldn’t ignore. Pulling Star over to the side of the road Raven slid off and looped her reins over a tree branch, tying them off lose enough that the horse could run if she felt the need to, but also enough so that she didn’t wonder off and then quickly headed into the surrounding forest. She remained alert for sounds of anything moving as she tended to her business however stopped when she heard the sound of cars approaching. “Oh shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.” The girl muttered as she quickly pulled up her pants and began half running, half stumbling back towards the road.

Star was still on the side of the road and she had no idea what a group would do if they found her. Best case they’d just take all her stuff, that was is they stopped. Worst case they’d kill her or something horrible like that. Drawing her bow she notched an arrow and put tension to the string, drawing it back and crouching down as she began slowly approaching the road as she kept an eye out for any signs of movement that may be unfriendly.

Ash quickly followed the girls into their car, giving Marshal a concerned glance for a moment before smiling reassuringly at him. Inside the car she placed her bag at her feet and then pulled out Luke’s and began looking through the contents. There wasn’t much, a few energy bars and a mostly empty canteen of water. There wasn’t much else. However she stopped for a moment when she saw a leather wallet and her hand closed around it tightly. Pulling the wallet out Ash opened it up, looking at the contents. A few bank cards, some other cards and his driver’s licence.

Carefully she reached in and slipped the card out of its holder, looking at the picture inside. His hair was a little shorter in it and he looked cleaner. Looking over her shoulder she looked over towards the ute where she was now and then back to the card in her hand. Quickly she took the contents of Luke’s back and placed it into her own, slipping the licence into a small card slot in the front pocket of the bag. Taking a small, shuddering breath she rubbed her hands over her arms before turning to look out the window.

Up along the road there was mostly just trees, not a walker in sight. It would have been easy to forget the world was over if it weren’t for the few scattered, abandoned cars here and there. However when she saw something ahead moving on the side of the road she moved away from the window slightly, thinking it was a walker. However after a second of looking she realised it was too big, and differently shaped to a human. Moving up to the window she placed her hands against the glass. Squinting slightly before her eyes widened.

“Stop!” Ash said suddenly, looking to Sophia. “Stop the car! Look!” She pointed out the window, looking back and forth from the girls to the animal. “It’s a horse, tied up on the side of the road there! Look! We have to stop!” A brown and white paint horse was in fact tied up to a tree loosely on the side of the road, it had a saddle with saddle bags attached and bridle. It seemed relatively calm, all things considered and was nibbling on grass by the side of the road. However it stopped and looked up at the approaching cars. “We can’t just leave it.” Ash said softly, looking to the girls. “It’ll die tied up like that… or get eaten…”

The drive was mostly quiet Sophia was driving while her sister sat in the back with Autumn and Ash Mariah went to sit in the passenger seat, and wondered what everything would have been like before the outbreak started and where everyone would be now. She looked into the rearview mirror seeing Bryan's car in the far back and Conell and Marshall in the pickup. She was tempted to see if there were any CD's in the car but decided not to thinking it would be better for everything to be silent, Sophia was so focused on the road when Ashley yelled for her to stop. Her blue eyes went over to see where Ashley was pointing at and she could see a horse right there seeing a saddle on it along with a few packs strapped to it, Sophia stopped the car and looked towards the others.

"Stay here okay, i'll see if I can get the horse to move." Sophia looked at Katelyn she nodded at her, she took out her 1911 and got out of the car and slowly started to approach Star, she remembered doing horseback riding when she was a little girl which she enjoyed until she was old enough and grew out of it. Once Sophia was close enough she reached out her hand to gently pet the horse's neck, seeing the supplies Sophia knew that the owner wasn't far off or dead nearby but she didn't want to steal any supplies even if it meant the group had to use what they had now.

Autumn followed next to Katelyn. As he started to get excited about his idea his words poured out faster. "Walkers aren't very smart right. We only really get hurt when we are in their way. Or when they follow us somewhere. So what if we just get out of the way. A place where they couldn't reach us. Ever." He grinned widely opening the door for her and sliding in after. "We build in the trees. The trees of Hendy Woods. Like tree houses. We could build one for each of us and have a bunch of tree houses. A tree town!" Leaning back Autumn took a deep breath, "Think about it. We could start to get back to the way things were before. Before walkers, and deceit, and all this terrible shit." Autumn looked down at Ash. "Sorry, but hell we could get electricity back."

Autumn waited patiently for Katelyn's reply. Before he could get a response Ash shouted practically in his ear. “Stop! Stop the car! Look!” Following her pointed finger Autumn could see a brown and white horse tied to a tree. The horse was certainly beautiful, but Autumn had never liked horses so he over looked that. Ever since he was young he had always had a fear of horses. They would probably love to kick him. Looking into the horses eye, Autumn could swear he could see malevolent intent in its eye, but after blinking he realized he must have been imagining things.

Opening the car door Autumn reached up and grabbed the roof of the car and pulled himself over Ash. " 'Scuse me." Wiggling his way up on the roof, he leaned back in and grabbed his spear. "I got you covered Sophia. " Looking around Autumn could see much of the surrounding area. The forest was much too dense to see very far however. The owner of the horse could be hiding anywhere in there. That's what he was looking out for.

Ash looked to Autumn as he said shit and simply shrugged slightly. Luke had said way worse when they had been together, as they had seen from the language he used around her. She didn’t mind, it was kind of nice not to be treated like such a kid. As he got out of the car Ash looked out and then looked to Katelyn, smiling slightly as she undid her seatbelt and slid out of the car too. She’d never gotten to see a real horse before, living in the city and all. But, as most girls her age, she had a fascination with them.

A few times she had considered running away to the country and living on a farm and there was a piggy bank in her room devoted to saving up to buy a horse. But they were just dreams mostly. She had even overheard her parents talking about taking her to the circus which had been coming to town soon, before all of this. However now one was right in front of her and she wanted to at least see what they felt like. She had always been curious as to what they felt like.

Walking up she stopped in her tracks as the horse looked straight at her, its black eyes blinking curiously. They were a lot bigger than she had thought. Ash looked to Sophia for a moment, knowing she had been told to stay in the car. However she couldn’t understand why someone would just leave a horse out here on its own. They had to be close by didn’t they? She could understand if they had been killed, but then it wouldn’t be tied up like this would it?

Star watched placidly as Sophia got out of the car and turned her head towards her, bumping the girl with her nose affectionately. Star had been a show pony since she had been very young; being placid was part of the job requirement since she was often working in loud, unpredictable situations so she had to be able to be around people, young kids and things that may startle other horses without panicking. As such a stranger didn’t bother her at all. Her ears flickered every now and then and her head turned back towards the forest as she heard her owner’s voice.

From her place hidden amongst the trees Raven raised her bow as she saw the blonde woman approach Star and she tensed as she placed her hand on the horse’s neck. However she looked anything but hostile; didn’t seem overly on edge and hadn't gone for her stuff, even though she had clearly seen it. The question now, was how to approach this situation. She raised her bow, keeping it taught and on the girl as she finally called out. “Put your hands up and step away from the horse and I won’t shoot!”

Creeping forward slowly she quickly caught sight of the guy on top of the car and her eyes moved quickly back to the blonde woman. “I don’t want any trouble, just leave my stuff and my horse alone and we can-” She stopped mid sentence when she saw a young, brunette girl standing a few metres from Star. Lowering the bow Raven slowly emerged from the forest, looking from the blonde girl to the brunette in apparent shock. “Oh my gosh you guys have a kid?” She looked at the guy on the car, her eyes narrowing slightly as she tried to determine if she’d be able to take him out before he did her.

The chances of him having any kind of javelin training was decidedly low, making that spear an impractical ranged weapon. However the girl much closer to her had a gun, which required a little less skill to be effective with and was decidedly harder to dodge. “I don’t want trouble.” Raven repeated though she kept her bow in her hands, ready just in case. “I just want my horse and my stuff and I’m happy for us to go our spate ways.”

Leonardo slowly made his way into the house, Chris was still asleep on the couch, he seemed so peaceful now as apposed to a a little while ago and he really didn't want to risk waking him up. Picking up the inhalers and pocketing them he Walked forward and slowly picked him up with the blanket letting the rifle fall behind his back, Chris stayed asleep as Leonardo slowly walked outside and down the porch steps. Coming to the Humvee he slowly opened the door and layed Chris inside the back quietly he clicked the locks on the back doors and closed them letting him sleep awhile longer. Leonardo started to walk back towards the other house where the soldiers were when he stopped in the street, he realized that he could not hear anything, bugs, animals, anything at all, it was very much unlike when he had come here he could hear the crickets then but now it was just creepily silent. Leonardo peered into the darkness of the streets, for and instant he could swear he saw something but he felt like the night was playing tricks on his eyes and he was rather tired so it was possible. Walking back to the Humvee he opened the front door and pulled the glove compartment down removing the emergency signal and the gun for it and walked back into the street. Slowly aiming it in the air he pulled the trigger and the flare flew into the sky and illuminated the ground below in a bright light, Leonardo's heart nearly skipped five beats all at once when he saw the massive horde of walkers making their way down the narrow street.

How the hell had they made it this far so quick?! It wasn't even possible... unless this wasn't even the group from the base to begin with, but where the hell had they come from and so quick? It took Leonardo a minute to realize that particular group was coming from the opposite side they were not coming from Pendleton they were heading for it. Leonardo could not stand there any longer questioning the hordes origin, from the current distance they would be reaching them in only moments and they had to get the hell out of here now! Leonardo quickly turned and got into the Humvee and started the engine tearing down the road he quickly pulled up beside the other humvee and quickly opened the door.

"Whats going on?"

Leonardo heard the groggy voice from the back and he quickly turned to face Chris.

"Stay down and stay here, don't move and put the blanket over your head and be completely still, get down here on the floor away from the windows. Be quiet like a mouse Chris this is very important, and don't unlock the doors no matter what you hear. As long as you do this you will completely safe, ill come back for you I promise."

Leonardo quickly hopped out of the car as Chris got down on the floor and pulled the blanket completely over himself shielding himself from view. Locking the doors completely Leonardo quickly ran into the house. Thankfully those things were too stupid to realize that flare was shot from someone who was alive so they were not noticed, however they had to make sure they did, Leonardo realized that the only way to escape this horde was to go back into Pendleton where there would be another horde waiting for them, they had to wait for them to pass the other recourse was risky. Running back upstairs Leonardo found the remaining men and quickly spoke.

"Guys we have a large horde coming this way, not from Pendleton but in the opposite direction, they are going to be in view in a matter of minutes or less, we need to make a decision now on what were gonna do and quickly. The safest recourse would be to to block the door of this house and remain completely quiet and let them pass by, long as we don't alert them we will be fine, iv done it before, or we can drive away and risk Pendleton and another horde in the opposite direction. We have to decide now though."

Autumn's eyes narrowed as Ash got out of the car and walked towards the horse. Bloody thing could probably eat her, she was so small. He watched her carefully to make sure she was safe. As a voice called out from the woods, his head snapped up quickly browsing the forest for the offender. Quickly he spotted a young woman hiding out in the trees. She was armed with a bow, at least as far as Autumn could make out. The girl was shorter than him, only by a little though. She had long black silky hair that fell about her shoulders easily. In all she was a very beautiful girl. A rare commodity these days.

Easing his tense muscles, Autumn raised his free hand in the air as a sign of peace. Slowly he placed the spear on the ground. Admittedly he had little chance of hitting her as it was. Maybe not the horse though... Sliding easily off the car he moved cautiously towards the girl. Out of the corner of his eye he kept and eye on the horse. "We don't want any trouble either. We were just... looking at your horse. Well not me, but..." Autumn took a deep breath. "What I'm trying to say is we aren't going to hurt you." He tried to think of a way to show his passivity besides laying down his spear. Half smiling he said, "I'm Autumn."

Sophia noticed the horse starting to tense up watching it turning its head towards the wooded area near the highway and heard a woman's voice ordering her to back away from the horse, that's when she saw her holding a bow in her hands aimed right at her. "Okay I will." Sophia said holding her arms up in the air and backed off she took her gun and laid it down on the floor to show Raven she didn't mean any harm. Sophia turned around to see Ashley getting out of the car and walking towards them motioning for Ash to stop, then Katelyn came out shortly after Autumn did. Sophia looked back at Star seeing the horse was still very docile reminding her that horses that are usually like that are show horses like she rode when she was younger.

"Your horse seems very calm, i'm guessing she is a show horse of some kind? I used to ride them when I was younger." Sophia said trying to make some small talk so that Raven wouldn't feel threatened. "I'm Sophia by the way, this is Autumn, Ashley and my sister Katelyn. We really don't mean any harm we were just passing through." Sophia said softly.

Raven watched the group as they laid down their weapons and a look of almost surprise crossed her eyes. She looked at them for a moment before returning the arrow to its quiver and held the bow loosely in one hand before she smiled slightly. “Autumn hu? I’d make some kind of joke, asking if your parents were hippies or something, but I suppose Raven isn’t much better is it?” She looked around at the group and then back to Sophia. “Yeah, Star was a circus show pony, you know, before all this.” She looked at the group for a moment before shaking her head.

“Look… it doesn’t matter if you guys really were just passing through, that you meant no harm, the fact that I got you all to surrender is… a little concerning. I’d say sorry for threatening you, but you can never be too careful.” She bent over and picked up the gun, handing it back to Sophia. “Never let your guard down.” Strange, that she was so openly ignoring her own advice, but Raven figured if these guys had meant her harm they would have done so already, same as she probably would have shot them if she had intended to already.

But it looked like a group of three girls, one of them a kid and a young man. She would have felt a little bad taking him out. She could see the young girl, Ashley, looking at Star and she smiled softly. “It’s alright, you can come and pet her if you like. Sophia is right, she’s a very calm girl, she’s used to being around kids.” Turning back to the others her look became a little more serious. “So where are you guys headed? Do you have a plan or something?” It was still early days, but a group like this would need some kind of plan if they had any hope of surviving.

Sophia listened to what Raven was saying it was true they did surrender really easy but she didn't want to attack anyone who was innocent. "Thank you, and I know but you didn't attack so there was no need to." She said taking her gun back, Katelyn started walking closer towards her sister looking up at the horse and smiled gently giving Star a loving pet running her hand through the horses's mane. "We were thinking of going down to the boarder, if the Mexicans closed their boarder there could be a small chance of them letting us through." She answered. "What about you, what were your plans?" Sophia asked looking around for a moment and spotted a horse trailer attached to a 4x4 pickup truck. "If you didn't have any plans your more then welcome to join us."

“Get out somewhere into the middle of nowhere.” Raven shrugged slightly. “My dad was a bit of a camping nut, taught me a bunch of survival stuff… I figured if I went somewhere people can’t get to… then walkers wouldn’t be able to get their either.” She looked around at the group for a few moments before sighing. Some supplies and a little human company might not be so bad for a while. If nothing else it would give Star a nice break and help them to cover more ground. Perhaps she’d be able to trade some survival lessons for things she needed.

“But sure, I think I could tag along with you guys for a while, maybe teach you a few things to help you. You look like you’ve got a full car though… so I’ll just ride with Star, it’ll probably be reassuring for her.” Running her hand along the horse she smiled again. There was still a lot she’d rather keep to herself, but she felt like she could share at least some of her things, since they had a kid and all, the more they were prepared the better chance they had of surviving.

Karen had gotten so lost since she'd had to run from the religious Wacks because the dam fools had thought this was their end of the world. Hell who knew they might have even been right but that still didn't give them the right to decide to marry her off to their leader's son.

He was a nice enough guy proving it by helping her escape with what she come to them with but he couldn't keep his dad from declaring her as a demon spawn and setting the hunters after her. She'd had to run her horses harder than she'd wanted to but after spotting one of the herds she'd managed to lose them.

She was stunned by the speed with which her horse train covered ground and how attached they'd all become to her an her to them. She had even begun naming them; the Paint which she rode was fine boned an not as suited as her four friends to carry a pack Karen had named Maria after a song her oldest brother had loved to sing.
She'd named the other four horses after songs as well after starting with Maria her favorite; there was Louie an Eleanor, Annie an Brandy.

She knew that at a distance her group must appear odd as they rambled along with her Red Cross banner and Louie's pack covered in a white bed sheet painted with a larger Red Cross on either side. She'd decided to do this in an effort to signal to any that saw her that she was medical hoping it'd make them less likely to just shot.

She had gotten lucky three days ago when she'd been spotted by a train of all things. It had been parked on a siding as it waited for the return of it's scouting party sent ahead to check the track and seek a fuel source. The people of the train had been so happy to see her because they'd been faced with a horrible decision. The train's mechanic had been injured and was sure to die which would mean they must make sure to kill him before he turned. He was desperately needed to keep the machine running and he was the grandfather to five of the eight children aboard.

Karen worked hard to save the man and even managed to do so then went to work aiding with minor injuries and giving check ups of all 56 people who traveled in the train. When the six scouts returned they themselves were happy to see Karen and a party was held.

She knew they would try and talk her into traveling with them but she had to tell them she had other plans. Karen was headed to the coast where she planed on finding a good sail boat and then seeking and island where there was water and she could survive without Them, the Wacks and the Warlords.

Soon as she was able to Karen and her horse disembarked the train an she followed the sunset..

She'd found a nice secluded place to make her camp, it was one of those big salt sheds in the High Sierra near a highway with an intact fence and three gates so she could exit if they came. The Salt shed was half full of salt which made Karen think. At one time long ago the Roman soldier was paid in salt because it was more valued than gold. Salt she knew had always been an important commodity so before she left here Karen would add perhaps 20 or 40 pounds to her packs.

She was happy to find that inside the fence was a detention pond that held water clean enough for her horses and her once it was filtered then boiled. She built her fire in the shed because it's roof some 35 feet high had a long vent cap that could defuse the smoke making it hard to see.

Soon she sat waiting for dry beans to boil enough in a pot so that she could eat them. As she waited for her meal she sang a song from her memory to help calm her and at least make things a semblance of normal

I was born under a wandering star
I was born under a wandering star

Wheels are made for rolling, mules are made to pack
I've never seen a site that didn't look better looking back

I was born under a wandering star

Mud can make you prisoner, and the plains can bake you dry
Snow can burn your eyes, but only people make you cry
Home is made for coming from, for dreams of going to
Which with any luck will never come true

I was born under a wandering star
I was born under a wandering star

It was a song from a musical she'd performed in high school that her father said was his favorite.

She knew that singing was potentially dangerous but she had her five watch horses that she'd learned were as good as dogs at warning her of danger. Also sitting beside her was her pump gun to solve her problems

Karen checked her beans an saw they were almost ready so she added a touch of rice and some seasoning's to taste. She loved her food spicy so the additions gave her meal a pungent aroma which she savored as it boiled.

When it was all finished Karen checked her perimeter before settling down to eat. Though there was no meat with her meal she savored every bite finishing the whole pot so as not to waste anything.

After dinner she sat down and repaired an cleaned her horse tack, a chore that took her about an hour. That ritual of camp finished she then took up the Calvary sword she'd found and practiced with it for about an hour.

Karen smiled as she considered how some of her old friends would have thought there was no way she could survive on her own but here an now she was living proof.
The awakening of them had perhaps forced her to face up to the fact that she wanted to live and would fight till her last breath to live as long as she could but now here she was a survivor.

Karen was proud of what she'd accomplished and knew that she could do so much that she was no longer afraid of the future. Karen had begun making long range plans for her future and even the future of man as far as she could effect it.

Karen planned on finding a river of a lake with a large island in it or a secluded canyon that could be defended. There she'd make a farm and collect all the paper she could for she planned on allowing not one thing she knew as a Doctor to perish with her. She knew that Medicine was suffering like no other profession

Doctors in the beginning did what was expected of them, they tried to heal and when that didn't work they searched for the cause. It was while doing this that those in the medical professions had died, hospitals began to resemble a scene straight out of hell.

Karen had been one of the lucky few to escape the place of horror that her local hospital had become.

Realising that she was dwelling on the past Karen shook it off an doused her cooking fire before it became dark. The dead might be attracted to it but it was the darker section of the living that worried her more. She moved her camp just before it became too dark to see hiding her things in different locations.
Once that was done she put her horses in a small fenced in area once used for what she didn't know, locked the gate with her own lock an moved to the top of a concrete office building.

She spread out her sleeping bag and grabbed a medium blanket to sleep under then stood watch till she grew too tired to continue.
