"Why you are most certainly welcome, ya big oaf." Ren said with his typical smile. He dug into his own food but caught a few glances of Lorenzo savoring his. That wasn't Ren's style, he only took seconds to down his food, although it was fast it definitely left a bloated feeling in his stomach. He rested his head on the table which usually seemed to lessen his discomfort somehow, and closed his eyes. He couldn't help but overhear the two siblings talking about the new girl, and they're inevitable conversation with her about the demons inside them both. Just can't ever be easy can it?

"Well guys, I know one thing, is that she's going to be freaked out regardless, no offense to either of you. It's just how it is. You are demons, exceptionally nice demons, but demons none the less. Although Cassandra's instincts are probably right with telling her right away, I'm not sure you should. She seems... well.. jumpy. I think she should get the chance to know you, like I did, before you spring that on her. I know I said the opposite when it was for myself, but I honestly think it turned out for the best this way. It let me see the caring and incredibly human side of you before anything else. If she gets to know you both like I do, there's no way she could turn you away. So, for my vote, I choose wait." Ren replied with a shrug, immediately after he settled his head back onto the table.

classes start at 9 so you have to be their by 8" Lorenzo told her smiling a little "so tell us a little about yourself lilly I mean if you don't mind at least" Lorenzo said softly not wanting to force her to talk or look pushy since he wanted to get to know the girl first before telling her about them. What ren said was right since they needed to get her to know them first before giving her their big secret so for the time being its the blooming of a friendship and they needed to be careful or she would bolt and rat them out. Lorenzo kept eating his steak and fries loving the taste of it as he savored his food knowing he wont get steak again for a long time considering how much a good t bone is worth to people these days.

Lilly

"Well when I was 8 my mother and father divorced. They didn't divorce because of fights or anything, but because of them just not liking each other anymore. I was their only child. they never fought to be my favorite and my dad would still come over and eat dinner with us at least 3 nights a week. But, at the age of 11 my mother wanted to move. So, we moved. My dad didn't want to be far away from me so he quite his job and moved with us. He got a house and everything close to us. My dad met a new woman and my mother met a new man. Still my father would eat with us at least 3 nights a week. Both my parents getting remarried and everything didn't change anything. But just last year I met a girl who wanted to come to this school. After getting to know her she convinced me to come with her. My parents gave me the money and all the supplies I needed. so, at the age of 15 me and the girl came here. But, as soon as we got her she had to go home due to an accident she wouldn't tell me about. That's pretty much it. I hope I didn't bore you to death." Lilly said with a smile looking at Lorenzo. Lilly was happy to tell them about her childhood.

Cassandra listened, quite now. She didn't want to tell her story, not after the girls happy story. What could she say? I lived happily with my mother, and the man I thought was my father, until they were murdered by demons and I had to come here because I'm a half demon? No, Cassandra didn't want to make the girl worry or fear what demons could do just yet.

She sighed and finished her drink, running a hand through her hair. "But why did you choose to come here? I had very limited choice but to come, yet it seems like you had plenty of choice, so why did you decided to become a demon hunter?"

"Yeah, well, that Lorenzo is still immature. They do have potential, but that's mostly it for now." Hax gave his opinion about the two. After a while, Simon decided to leave the roof. "Of course I can't do everything alone. But, I'd rather do things alone then ...." his voice trailed off, not continuing the sentence. He wanted to say trust others and be betrayed over again, but he decided not to. "Anyway, I know my limits." Hax finished as Simon was leaving. Just before Simon left he called out, "Oi, bring me along for your next mission. It's boring staying in this place all the time."

Now that he was alone, and felt no-one coming, he was going to see how long he could do it for. Taking a few deep breaths in and out, he held onto his blades. Ready? he asked Cyrono and Infernecus, both replying, Ready. Drawing his swords out, simultaneously, he focused. From the swords, nothing. No flames, no ice, nothing. They seemed like regular swords. As Hax started to move through a couple of forms, slight noises could be heard from the swings. After a few minutes, he looked somewhat tired. sheathing the swords, he laid back down.
Well ... longer than last time.

Stretching out his arms and legs, he took a deep breath. Hax was testing his energy and will power. Since Cyrono and Infernecus are such high level demons, most people would not be able to suppress their powers when either one of them when they are trying to sleep, let alone both when they are trying to take over the wielder. The sheer amount of will power was exhausting, and the energy to fight it all. It was more tiring than running a marathon around all of Japan.

Continuing to look up while lying down, Hax sighed. Would be nice for something interesting to happen he thought.

Lorenzo was sniffling a little at that beautiful story, obviously Lorenzo wasn't going to cry but it was so beautiful compared to his own life of death and destruction because of what he was "lilly that's such a beautiful story" Lorenzo said softly going back to eating his steak quickly so not to cry and how sad his life was now he realize how good someone could have it now. However it was a good question that Cassandra asked wondering what a sweet girl like her would want to fight demons for if they had no personal grudge to settle or no desire to protect people from said demons. Lorenzo and Cassandra were obviously the exceptions that proves the rule of demons generally being bad of course

Lilly

"Well, uh, that girl that I traveled here with convinced me to come to the school. I'm not much of a fighter so I want to be a doctor. Help people that are injured coming back from battle. Trust me I never saw myself in a school like this. But, things happen." Lilly spoke with a smile. Then she took a drink of her soda.

"So, when are we heading back to the dorms? I still have stuff to unpack and what not." Lilly said looking around the table at everybody. "I mean, uh, don't rush or anything. I'm just asking." Lilly didn't want to make anybody rush their meal. She could tell they were all having an amazing time. Lilly could see that Lorenzo really loved his steak, with every bite he just sit there awhile and let the juices sit in his mouth. She laughed a little. "Now that I've told my story, why not tell me a little about you guys or I guy I'm sharing the a room with. I mean we are friends now." Lilly smiled and waited a little for somebody's answer.

Cassandra sighed, rising "I came here because I had no where else to go" She said simply, "I want to be a doctor to help people, but have no choice but to be a knight as well. So I'll protect people as well. I grew up normal, until I wasn't normal anymore, and then circumstances led me here" She slung her sword across her back, and her pack over her shoulder, "I'm going to go to the library to get some doctor books" She said, giving Lilly a smile, "it was nice to meet you, see you later, if you need help unpacking, Lorenzo can tell you were to find me. We share a dorm" She hurried out the cafeteria, brushing passed Simon as she do so, giving the big man a smile, and a wave, but she didn't stop to chat.

She was heading towards the library, going down a corridor that didn't have many people in it. It was as she was just passing some stairs that led up to a roof that she head a noise, and she spun about, one hand going to her blade. And there stood a demon. She didn't know what it was, but she could already tell that it was powerful. She let out a piercing scream, if only to alert others to the presence of the creature, and without hesitation, she drew her sword, and the flames danced around her body. Her only need was to protect those that couldn't protect themselves, those that wouldn't be ready to fight, those that were eating lunch, and relaxing for a few moments and she held her blade out, rushing to the demon, engaging it in battle, she danced always out of its way, but knew she couldn't kill it, not by herself. What she was doing was merely stalling, and trying to injure the demon as much as possible, as she prayed for help, but she could feel herself losing control, feel her demonic side rise to take power continously.

"Hurry" She whispered, her voice coming out in a growl, not even sure anyone was coming, she still coaxed them on in her mind.

Feeling the presence of a demon, Hax got up. Hm... he pondered. You don't have to go if you don't want to Master. It's not even trouble for you. You could kill it using just one of the guns. Infernecus and Cyrono told him. Well, it's better than nothing. It will fill the time he thought, telling the two. Jumping off the roof, he suddenly felt the surge of a stronger demon power. Wait a second he thought. This could be trouble ... unless ... Hearing the scream, and identifying it's location, So, another kid of a demon, huh? he pieced together the two. They don't have enough control yet, it's going to get troublesome, unless someone gets there soon. Hax realised the situation, hurrying over.

Turning around the corner of the hall, he noticed a girl dancing in flames around the demon. I guess, I'll just deal with it with a couple of shots. Hax thought, reaching for his guns in his back-hip holster. Realizing they weren't there, he sighed. Drawing Infernecus with his left hand, crimson flames appeared around the blade and part of the room glowed crimson. He wasn't going to take put too much strength into it, there was no need for him to. The flames would be a different color otherwise. As Hax dashed forward, the demon lunged at the girl, it didn't look like she would evade or guard in time, "Infernecus, pull it" Hax commanded, pointing his blade towards the demon. His blade's crimson flames extended, becoming a hand and grabbing the demon, pulling it away before it made contact with the girl. "Sheath your blade, before you lose control." Hax told the girl. He could feel the power in her rising, and her flames would become dangerous if they continued to seep out.

The demon was being pulled by a crimson hand, burning as it was struggling to get free. He could just burn it as it was. Considering the option, although taking more energy, it didn't really matter since it was a small amount for Hax. It wouldn't tax his body, unlike what he was doing earlier. The demon started to burn in the crimson fire and disappeared. Sheathing Infernecus, his mind spoke Thanks, as always. Not at all, Master. Looking over to the girl, he didn't look directly at her, but rather almost as if he was looking behind her, or through her. "Are you alright?" Hax asked her.

Lorenzo was enjoying his lunch finishing up until he heard a scream, Cassandra! Lorenzo quickly got up and started running "Cassandra!" Lorenzo called out running just in time to see Hax show up first and Lorenzo was about to attack him when he noticed that he saw his sister in demon form but then he noticed the demon attacking his sister and that he was simply protecting her, if he was willing to fight for his sister when they don't even know each other then he couldn't be a bad person. Now the next problem was making my sister sheath the sword and Lorenzo went out and made sure his sister could see him "calm down Cassandra, the fights over. Sheath your sword while you can" Lorenzo warned not wanting to charge his sister and force her blade off her or worse to pull out his own but at least if Hax was on the other side of her then he could make her put all her attention in him while Hax grabbed the sword and sheathed it himself. The only reason Lorenzo would think of it was because he already protected his sister from a demon and he was sure he could disarm her better then Lorenzo could even try to manage without pulling out his own....

Cassandra was more then relieved when help came. She could feel someone behind her, and that made her skin crawl, wondering if it was friend or a stranger. If it was Lorenzo, kiddo or Ren she had nothing to worry about, not if it was Oliva and Simon. Anyone else, she wasn't too sure about, and she could have just exposed herself fully, to get herself killed. She had to fight down the urge to finish the demon, and then attack the person if they weren't someone she trusted.

As the flame grabbed the demon, Cassandra felt a snarl bubble out of her, and now that the danger was passed, that she didn't have a reason to fight, to hold back, she could feel herself loosing control, feel herself slipping with each second, each best of her racing heart. The voice of the stranger seemed far away as they told her to sheath her sword, and she shuddered, a growl working it's way up from her chest. And then there was Lorenzo's voice, and Cassandra realized she wasn't alone. That she still had her brother to protect.

And yet....It was almost as if she was being drawn to lose complete control, as if it would be wonderful, and amazing to have that much power and not just care what she did with it. With a pained yell, Cassandra swung her sword up, and for a moment in seemed like she would attack the stranger, but then the blade met it's sheath, sliding in silently, and she stumbled to the ground as the power left her.

Would it always be like that? That struggle for control? Always fighting not to hurt those around her? Her chest was heaving as she struggled to regain control, her breathing coming in in fast breaths, until she managed to slow her breathing and calm her racing heart. She grimaced, and rose, brushing herself down, flicking her tail, still unnerved at that action.

"I'm fine" she said finally, looking towards the stranger that had helped her, seeing another student, she frowned. "Thank you. I was just walking and then..." She cast her mind back, and she frowned deeply, "and I heard a voice and then the demon appeared" her eyes widened with shock, "someone set that demon on me" that was deeply disturbing. It narrowed her group of trusted people down to simply her team and Oliva and Simon. She eyed the stranger, then sighed, resigned "I'm Cassandra"

"Well this is a startling turn of events!" Ren said as he stood up to follow Lorenzo as he bolted out of the room. "Lilly would you mind joining me? I'm not sure if you need to see this right now, but trust me, the safest place you can be right now with your little band of misfits. I'll even escort you." He tried to keep a calm composure about him, no need to alarm this new girl more than she already was. "We need to hurry though Lilly, this could very much be urgent. " God, I hope Cassandras alright... she has to be right? I mean Lorenzo will be there, he won't let anything happen. But I can't let anything happen to Lilly either, I don't think she could defend herself like we can. I need to hurry though. With that thought Ren started out of the room, turning to look back at Lilly. "Well come on then. No need to be afraid with me around." He forced his usual smile even though all he felt was dread.

Lilly

"Ren! I'm not a baby." Lilly said in a sarcastic tone grabbing her stuff. She began to walk at a brisk pace, then sped up to a run. Ren said it might be urgent. "Sorry for the weird speed." Lilly said with a smile turning to Ren before turning the corner and seeing Cassandra. She was breathing heavily while sheathing her sword. Lorenzo was in front of her speaking smoothly and calm. Lilly looked at Ren, "Uh, what happened?" She said confused at the situation.

Kiddo

Kiddo's dreams were filled with memories of his dad, nice kind memories. He had a smile on his face as he slept. But then he began to hear his thoughts again. I already miss him... But, that scream it doesn't sound like a my dad. Wait a scream! Kiddo jolted up. He jumped up and wiped the tears from his eyes. He ran down to his room, quickly unlocked it and grabbed his sword. I need to get there! Now! Kiddo thought sprinting down the hall way of the dorm building into the main building and to the sound of scream. He hand was on the grip of his sword. He was ready to pull it out of it's midnight black sheath. But then he rounded the corner to the library to see Lorenzo begin Calming Cassandra. Something had happened. Kiddo didn't know what. He stayed back, listening. He didn't want to be seen by his friends.

After a little bit Ren and Lilly came around the corner. Kiddo sighed, I good nobody is dead. Cassandra looks a bit shaken. I wounder what happened? Kiddo decided the best thing to do was walk around the corner and see what was going on. Then he noticed somebody else. He didn't know who. He also saw Hax, he frowned. He didn't have time somebody like Hax. Especially not now. So, he walked right past everybody up to Lorenzo. "What happened?" He said in motioned voice.

Listening to the girl as she spoke and explained the situation, Hax could sense something. Another? But I can't pinpoint it ... Tch. I need to get the others away.
"Well, whether someone set it on you or not, it's good that you are fine. Hey Lorenzo, was it? By any chance do ..." In the suppressed state, their demonic powers, were giving off a similar feeling. Hax believed maybe they were connected by the same demon, and if he wasn't mistaken, only one demon had white flames. But before he could do anything, he knew the other students were coming. Can't exactly bring that up right now. I don't know how much has been revealed. Can't be too careless about this. he sighed, "Never mind."

In the hall to the library, stood 6 people. Hax sighed once more, Didn't she say she had 4 new students?. "How come there's five people here? I heard from Oliva there were 4 new students. Either way, I may as well introduce myself properly. The name's Hax. I am an Exwire with demon blades, training in the Knight and Dragoon Meisters, and eventually Tamer. Anyway, the demon has been dealt with, so everything is fine. You can all return to what you were doing." Walking to the wall of the hall, he leaned against it I can't deal with the next one if these Pages are here. It's hard to pinpoint it since there are some half demons here. They probably won't realize the presence of this one, since they are pages, and it has hidden itself. Some of the teachers here might have trouble with it too. Either way, it seems like it won't attack the group. Is it wary of someone? Trying to make contact with someone? If Cassandra really is being targeted .... Trying to protect someone huh? Hax waited for the response of the Pages, before deciding what he would do next.

Heloise shifted, staring at Hax with suspicion. It seemed to her that Hax knew more then he was letting on, and she didn't know what that meant. What would he do, if he figured out what the were, completely? She shifted towards Lorenzo, glad that Ren and Kiddo were there, as well as Lilly. As Hax moved over to the wall, she frowned. Did he know who they were? it would't be too hard to pinpoint who their biological father was, given the white flames, but so far Ren and kiddo hadn't figured it out, adn Hax didn't seem to want to talk, if he didn't know that they knew they were demons.

What did that mean?

"lilly only arrived here today" Cassandra said with a soft sigh, wondering why Hax seemed intent on letting them go, making sure that they did. She frowned, and looked about, "there's another one, isn't there? "She said, stepping towards Hax. "I'm not going to go anywhere. Asides from the fact that there are other students in this school, some of whom might not have their weapons, someone set that demon on me, andif there's a second, I wouldn't be surprised if it would follow me, or if there was naother one. Right here, we can confine it, and we know that its here"

If someone was setting the demon on her, that meant that someone other then the group, and her teachers knew what she and Lorenzo were, so did that mean Lorenzo was in danger too? And the others? "Besides. I can do something here, what if you get other powered? Even though you seem capable enough, the demon could get passed you. Here, I can help protect the others, the rest of the school, so that's what I'm going to do" She said, her tone conveying that she would accpet not arguments.

Sis just protect the others, you already used it today you should not use it again if another does show up. I'll stay with hax and find our demon before it tries to attack everyone." Lorenzo said putting a hand on her shoulder to let her trust him and he leaned in whispering "besides I need to talk and figure out his motives and see if we can trust him" Lorenzo whispered wanting to have a man to man talk to hax and one thank him again for helping Cassandra and to see if his intentions are of malice or of friendship. Lorenzo wanted to trust him but Lorenzo wanted to protect his sister and make sure that hax wouldn't want to hurt their friends.

Sighing aloud and putting his hand over his face, Hax spoke out, "Telling everyone that there is another, you wish to try and cause panic? And now it's completely gone, wondering how someone knew where it was." The presence was gone. Damn it, if it is a familiar, then it might report information about me. This could become problematic for me too. "I wanted you to leave so I could find out where it was, but because you spoke aloud, you alerted it. All of your arguments have just been nullified by the fact that you alerted it. Now, if someone is targeting you, you put yourself at a greater disadvantage. Knowing your abilities and those around you. They will have a greater knowledge and be prepared for their next attack. " Hax was upset over the results.

There was a possibility of rumors about him going back to his family. The director had informed him of such. There was a possibility that the demons were targeting Cassandra specifically, but rather, getting Hax's attention to see if he was still alive. All he could do was hope it was not so. "With that said and done, it can't be helped. Time to go back." Hax started to walk away from the group, heading to his room. He figured he should equip his desert eagles, to be prepared for any other possible encounters.

"Hey, walking arrogance!" Cassandra yelled after Hax, "You're in this now, whether you like it or not. You know what me and Lorenzo are, and that demon was after me, not you. But now, I suspect, they'll be after anyone who came to my aid, as that would be a belief that everyone here's my team" She said, "So watch your back" She sighed, turning to the others, looking to Lilly.

She cleared her throat, and pursed her lips, "How much did you see?" She asked softly, wondering if the girl had seen her, and why she hadn't run away screaming if she had seen her in her demonic form.

Lilly

"I didn't really see anything." Lilly looked down at the ground as if she was in trouble. "I got here and the first thing I saw was Lorenzo talking to you. That's it." Lilly didn't know if she was in trouble or not. She was confused by the hole ordeal. 'I'm sorry if I did something wrong." Lilly said looking back up at Cassandra. She had tears in her eyes. Why am I crying? I didn't do anything, did I? I don't know I just want friends. Lilly thought to herself as she looked around the room at the others. Lilly didn't want to embarrass her self "I'm going to go back to my room, I still have stuff to unpack." Lilly said while running off back to her dorm with tears in her eyes.

Lilly got to her dorm and got into her bed. Why am I doing this already? Why am I crying? I didn't do anything. Cassandra wasn't even being mean, she just asked a simple question. That's all. Lilly thought to her self as she put her face into her pillow. Lilly's mind was racing on what could of happened. finally she calmed down and began breathing softly and steady then she drifted off to sleep.

Kiddo

Kiddo laughed a little at the fact that Cassandra was yelling at Hax. It as amusing. Then things changed as Cassandra turned to Lilly and began to ask a question, of course Lilly answered honestly that was her nature. But, she began crying for no reason. Then raced off back to the dorm. Kiddo sighed, "I need to leave in a bit any way. I'll go check on Lilly and see what was going on. I'll be back Friday." Kiddo said while setting off back to the dorm. He didn't want to stay here in the school any longer Kiddo decided to changed his ticket and leave now.

Lorenzo sighed a little as he saw her leave crying and Lorenzo couldn't understand why, it seemed that Cassandra could handle her savior for a while and Lorenzo went and followed Lilly to her room which was thankfully kiddos room as well so Lorenzo could see what happened to him earlier. soon Lorenzo gently knocked on her door walking in to originally see Lilly but unfortunately she was sleeping so Lorenzo decided to leave her a letter for when she woke up. Lorenzo found some paper and a pencil and wrote down a note for her

Dear Lilly,
please don't take what Cassandra said to offense. please know we are good people and we want to protect you if you let us, me and Cassandra have something we need to tell you someday but we just want to know you wont be afraid when we tell you. we want to be your friend and you ours, we can talk whenever you are ready for now see you in class and don't worry we don't let any of our friends get hurt.

Lorenzo was about to put the letter on her bed next to her until he looked down to see the letter addressed to kiddo and while he didn't wan to invade his privacy he needed to know what happened to make him so sad so quick. Lorenzo read the letter quickly and covered his mouth in shock taking the letter as he ran to get to everyone back upstairs to get to Cassandra and ren "guys we need to find kiddo fast! we need to get to the train station ASAP he is in trouble" Lorenzo said quickly as he went back to the room that he had with Cassandra and packed a bag of both their cloths unsure if they will be their with him for a few days and Lorenzo waited outside for everyone to come out so they can get to the train station....
