I am thinking of rebooting this.
Hopefully this time people would stick with it.
I have learnt from last time and will be giving more time for people to write out what they do.
The Original

The original First Post

The great land of Odesh, where any adventurer can start with nothing and gain everything !

How to fill in your stats

The part in Bold is the category of the skill. You do not add points to these.
On all 24 skills you have 48 skill points to spend.
The amount of points on a stat will effect dice rolls in the use of that stat using the table below
0 = D6-2
1 = D6-1
2 = D6
3 = D6+1
4 = D8
5 = D8+1

The maximum stat points placed on a stat is 5

Races and Classes
Races are stereotypical how they are usually known.
Gnome - A clever race using their brain instead of brawn. Known for engineering skill and smarts.
Dwarf - A race normally keeping to themselves. Known for their thick skin and large muscles despite there small stature.
Elf - Soft and squishy but quick and agile.
Human - The middle ground can pretty much do most things relatively well.
Orc - Strong brutish beasts with more muscle then brain.
Undead - Humans once dead arisen by strange earthly magic. Highly resilient to damage but smell and look pretty bad.

Classes
Classes will effect stats giving a +1 to all stats in a certain category (Shown by placing a star next to the category and putting in the extra points.
Warrior - +1 Strength – Sword and shield. Can be tanky, stabby or both. The melee class.
Ranger- +1 Range – Bow and arrow or crossbow. The ranged class.
Mage-+1 Intelligence - FIREBALL. There are many magical abilities. All can be achieved with the mage as long as the dice are in their favour.
Bard-+1 Diplomacy- Buff up other players with a cheery tune or make the enemy fall asleep. Uses a certain desired instrument.
Hunter –+1 Survival - Like the range the hunter uses ranged weaponry but is much more skilled in survival and bestiary.
Rogue- +1 Stealth - watch your pocket. You can be a thief or a ninja just make sure to be light on your toes.


The dice rolls will come from me and I will describe a scene then you will decide what you want to do and if you need to do a skill roll for the action I will do these and tell you what you got. Telling you what you did within the action

This looks pretty neat, and a different roleplay I joined is dying very gradually and slowly. I wouldn't mind being an elvish rouge or a gnome mage, if you would prefer for me to be one or the other. I'm known for posting once a week, more or less, once school or work starts. Additionally, I'm fairly new to tabletop roleplaying, so I will be clueless if you refer to rules or systems like pathfinder or DnD. If you're willing to let me, I can fill out a character sheet pretty soon.

Sounds good, I wouldn't ask you to fill a C.S until other people join but you can if you want.
I wont be referring to any hidden rules as this is my own home grown system :D
Unfortunately that does mean confusion can sometimes happen but just ask away and I will answer any questions.

Ah, well in that case, I suppose that I have plenty of time to make an interesting or unusual character. Until then, it's time to pull out my binocs and steakout this thread.

Woah. I didn't know that people could be system gardeners. You must be a genius! So much profit to be had!

May you be rest assured, if any significant or seemingly unimportant issue arises regarding the roleplay, I will most definitely bring it up. I have the most annoying habit of doing so at every chance I get... >.>

I might make small adjustments to the minor details of his character. Please let me know if I need to change anything.
I'm aiming for a more tanky than stabby warrior and I don't intend to try making him the leader of the group.

Also I'm very interested.

It looks good and we only need one more person to have interest then I can officially make A Thread and begin,

May I suggest having stats a little spread out, sure you may not need them but if you do you might at least want a LITTLE skill.

Melee and stealth could be useful
Stealth more because if , as a group, you all decide to avoid a fight.
You don't want to be the one tripping and ruining it for everyone :p

A big orc like Grommak isn't going to be able to sneak around very effectively. In a situation like that you'll probably just have to leave him behind or have him find another way.

Shy made a Character sheet, so I felt compelled to do so as well. I am fairly sure I followed your instructions well enough in creating Zimnik, but I may have miscounted the skill points. I noticed that Shy only used 45 skill points, provided he moved one skill point from throwing into another skill.

To make this easier, for now, just spend the 48 points.
I will explain the bonus points after.
But basically you choose a group of stats
(For instance Strength)
And then ALL stats in that group gain a point
For instance in strength you gain a point in Unarmed,Throwing,Melee and Intimidation.

Oh, okay. I thought you meant that all those skills get +1, then you distribute 48 more points. I cut out 7 points, so I should be good now.

Okay so now as a mage you get a bonus on the intelligence stat. Meaning +1 to all stats under intelligence.
This means that the stats for intelligence are. =
Intelligence
-Light Magic - 5+1=6
-Dark Magic - 0+1=1
-Knowledge - 5+1=6
-Perception - 5+1=6

Now as you can not have more than 5 on a skill I would suggest moving the 3 points you have from the skills that are now 6 to put into other stats.
May I suggest into the dark magic stat.
