Also, while I'm thinking about it, can I ask something for those of you who haven't hit their character limit (which is 4 btw)? I would like to ask that some of you toss I some veteran characters from the SSB franchise. I'm not going to say stop with the newcomers, but I will say of the 40 veteran characters of SSB, we only have Samus and Link. So, maybe take some of the other 37 into account?

Oh, and that wasn't a typo up there. I'm reserving one of the veteran fighters for something...Special later on. I won't say whom unless someone tries to apply with him though, do want to keep it a surprise >:)

The proud and prestigious Knight of Sunlight stood admirable in his full suit of iron armor, staring up into the blazing star dimming with every second. Memories flashed and zipped out of the warrior's mind, closing his eyes tenderly behind his helmet and sighing happily. All his life, every since that cursed day he was turned Undead, the wandering and honorable Solaire searched high and low in Lordran for his very own sun. A soul or force that he could use to grant his fellow human beings eternal sunlight, or, at the very least, for himself. In Lordran, the codes of a knight did not matter anymore. Yes, the Warriors of Sunlight still existed, but with the Hollows wandering aimlessly and seemingly more and more Undeads turning Hollowed, the future for Solaire's mission seemed bleak and grim.

Perking his head at the sound of tender footsteps against cobblestone, the middle-aged man slowly turned around with a faint chuckle. "You know, I can still hear you through this helmet, Undead." Solaire's soft, muffled, and warm voice uttered towards what appeared to be a female in leather armor carrying a typical spear. Seeing her fearful face as she raised the weapon, Solaire shook his head as he placed a hand on the hilt of his infamous Sunlight Straight Sword. "You know, the way I see it, our fates are intertwined. Do not fear me, Undead, I wish not to harm thee. After all...."

Personality:
Solaire is the perfect definition of the first ideal image of a Middle Ages knight. He is honorable and respected, showing kindness and generosity to those that need his help. As a Warrior of Sunlight, he strictly follows a code of valor and dignity, never once leaving his suit of armor and always on the ready for a battle. However, he is not perfect from any stretch of the imagination. It is clear that in a time before, he was perhaps reckless at some point. Evidence of this shows today, as he is willing and eager to join a battle of any sorts. Instead of solving matters peacefully, Solaire's patient might run thin and he will act accordingly in his mind. Also, he has an unhealthy obsession with the sun, which in Dark Souls is not strange at all. Because of this, any sun deities of any vague description he will refuse to fight and bow respectfully.

Brief Backstory:
Dark Souls takes place in the fantasy land called Lordran, which is the capital for the world. Countless years ago, the world was grey and dull, ruled by Everlasting Dragons that lived in archtrees stretching seemingly aimlessly up into the sky. For countless years, there was only a grey world on the surface, with no life, no death, no pain, no happiness...just plain existence. Below the surface, however, change was happening. There was Fire, and with fire came Disparity. Heat and cold, life and death, and of course...Light and Darkness. From below, Giants arose with mighty souls found within the First Flame that existence ever saw. Four mighty souls were found that day; The first was Gwyn's, Lord of Sunlight and his faithful Silver Knights. The second was Nito, who became the Lord of Death and Pestilence. The third was the Witch of Izalith and her daughters of Chaos, which used the flame in a literal sense to produce the magic of pyromancy.

Finally, there was the fugitive pygmy, who was so easily forgotten, but with his soul he fathered humanity itself.

So, the Lords arose, overthrowing the dragons as Lord Gwyn ushered in the Age of Fire, or in a deeper sense, The Age of Change.

Much time has passed, and the fires that fueled the world out of it's dull existence are beginning to fade away. A plague spreading rampantly through all of the lands, affecting all humans directly. Their skin peels away, their eyes grow duller, and their sanity begins to fade. Humans are slowly fading out of existence, becoming the "Undead". Undead are simply humans that are losing the very essence that they are made of- humanity. Whilst some may appear human if they consume or absorb humanity, they will eventually all rot and decay away. Solaire, being a Undead himself, has thrown himself into Lordran to find his very sun and try to solve the Undead Plague.

Weaponry:
Sunlight Straight Sword
~A simple straight sword that is heavily decorated, nothing special~

Sunlight Shield
~A round shield similar to that of what pikemen use. Has high lightning defense, but is like his sword and is not divine in any sense~

Sunlight Tailsman
~A tailsman designed to cast Faith-based spells, it is extremely powerful and the source for Solaire's more powerful powers minus his extreme martial ability~
-Sunlight Spear= A massive bolt of lightning that Solaire can hurl at an opponent for devastating effects. Has only five uses before he has to rest the ability.
-Great Heal= Heals desired target for large amounts of points. Has only three uses before rest.
-Heal= Heals desired target for moderate amounts of points. Has five uses before rest.
-Sunlight Blade= An extremely powerful spell that enchants any weapon with an aura of highly concentrated lightning. Has only one before rest
