Jake, Gabe, & Jaska Valos.
Yeeeeaaah... The table just got a little too crowded.
At least that's what Gabe thought when Cordelia came up to the table, saying stupid things. Basically proving that she's pretty much the trailer trash 'edgy' chick that everyone made her out to be before she even came up. Swearing and eating food like no one taught her how to act. Gabe merely rolled her eye, and stayed on guard. She followed the strict belief that if she bears through scenes with people that are currently annoying her, she'll never have to do anything with them ever again. There's a few hundred people on this island. No one said she had to talk to one or two chucklefucks.
One annoying twat finally decided to close her mouth, and was replaced with that street rat they saw eating like a pig a few tables down. Damn girl, watch out with all that edge! He smirked to himself. He wasn't too bothered by the swearing and indecent display, since he seen similar potty mouth and ill-behavior with Gabe. But what he did have a problem with was her swearing around Jaska. Seriously? He's like eight. Have some decency. Now, he was certainly going to say something since he has a problem with her language. He was certain he would get blown off. But who knows? Maybe this girl has some decency. Because in Jake's eyes, there's a kindness in everyone.
"Hey I'm Jake." He spoke up to Lynn, trying to get her attention, "I wanted to ask if you wouldn't curse around my little brother... He is eight after all." He was speaking like he was making a polite request, rather than a demand. He hoped that he isn't just blowing smoke out his ass.
The swear, and the resulting conversation, went clean over Jaska's head. He was too concerned with the fish... Man, he loved fish. Probably because he never really ate any. Water is not something Jaska likes... The last time he fell into some water... He shuddered. Pushing the thought of his fear of water out of his head. He noticed that the fish was gone, but the lizardman said he can have some more if he asked. "Henry, can I have some more."
Then they got the attention of two more jackoffs. The two that have been watching them, the weirdo chick in the goth get up and the barbie doll. Even the little girl had the audacity to say something to her. This whole scene was starting to piss Gabe off, with Amanda being a fool, every weirdo is eyeballing them, and people were talking like they knew what they're talking about. Miss Gothy-Goth will have to wait. This takes priority, "Eyo, Fire-Crotch, one; you just did, and two what rock have you been under all your life?" Gabe blew a puff of air from in between your lips. She spoke in a very sarcastic, feigned-surprise, manner, "Because, haven't-you-heard?! Mutants are everywhere!" She followed that up with a fake scream, making the most comically shocked face she can think of, even with her hands on each side of her head. "Meta over here fighting crime! Meta over there setting buildings on fire with his farts! That Meta is ejaculating lightning all over the place! It's a bloody catastrophe!"
And ANOTHER oddball just walked up, glowing like a fucking flash light. Honestly, all these people coming up was starting to make them want to bail out. So, they didn't introduce themselves for the umpteenth time.
Nikki Biyung.
The young girl nodded at Red. The guy seemed... nice. They had some similarities, she had to (reluctantly) say. The conversation was going better than expected, she didn't leave a bad impression on Red. It might change, but hell if Nikki's going to do it. She responded to the first line Red said with a cool-headed, "No, it's cool. Everyone has their opinions, and I know they have some credence." She almost found herself blushing when he said she was one of the person he choose to talk to. Did that mean he found her special? Or...? She brushed it off, she wasn't going to get all excited over one /possible/ complement. "Well, thanks. I'm personally just happy someone's actually, you know, talking to me." She scratched the back of her neck. "I thought I'd be doing my own thing while everyone else does all the big things. Heh." She had a dumb smile on her face - Quickly wiping it off.
And Jesus, three more people just walked up.
The most notable one was the girl that was fucking glowing. It burned the girl's eyes when she directly looked at her, so she had to throw her hand up. "Hey, can you tone it down a bit?" Nikki said to Alex, in a strained tone. The other girl was just addressing Gabe calling them out for staring. Then there was the spider... Nikki knew that the girl was a spider, her power told her so. The only thing that her power didn't let her do control her. A very strange occurrence, but Nikki theorized that the woman was an animal type that could transform into spider. Since she's human, she can't be controlled. But what would happen if she makes Vespera transform? Nah, she rather not do anything stupid.
But this third girl...
There was something about her that she couldn't put her finger on. It was a sense that she's seen this girl before. She realized that she was staring at the girl, and turned back to Red, but she caught a glimpse of the girl's shadow. It moved... Oh Jesus. Nikki nearly jolted out of shock. Now she remembers who this girl is. This brought her back to her days of running around her home town being a vigilante. This girl... this girl right here... was one of the crooks that Nikki apprehended in the past. The one with the Shadow.
She became pretty worried... God, she never knew she would she someone like her ever again. But, she knew that Cordelia doesn't know who she is. Or else she would be making a scene. Nikki turned her attention to Red, trying to make small talk with him so that she would ignore Lynn. "So, um, what do you plan on doing later? I think we can talk again." Don't interpret this as a date, don't intercept this as a date...
Shannon Jacqueline Balore, & Deborah Lillian Termellio.
The two girls didn't mind Aislin sitting with them. The girl seemed like fun right off the bat!
Like she usually did, Deborah gave Aislin a not-so-subtle up-down (Definitely new.). Seemingly looking at every part of the teenage girl's body, in a near trance-like state. From her red eyes (The girl has been consuming illegal substances very recently), the large amount of food she had (The effects of the marijuana on her brain is stimulating hunger), and her casual grin (Not fake or forced.) - She snapped out of it, shaking her head violently for a second. "No, not at all." She said in a very kind tone. She was trying to hide her first impression that this girl was a huge druggie. God damn this power sometimes, but it really did help her profile people far better than telepaths ever could. And speaking of telepathy. Deborah grabbed onto Shannon's wrist, activating their telepathic link. Deborah quickly sent the mental message, She's a new student, and she likes to smoke weed every day.
Oh goodie. Just when we couldn't have enough underaged drinking and doing drugs. Shannon responded, with an obvious roll of her eyes. She doesn't condone of such illegal activities, but she wasn't the type to rat them out, neither was Deborah. And that's what kept them on this island for so long. A devious grin crept up on her face, she responded with her own message, Oooooh, let's hint that we know what she's on. That'll scare the piss out of her then!
Maybe if she's annoying. Let's be cool. Deborah replied, with an equally devious grin on her face. We should talk to her. Take the lead, love.
They then realized they were silent, grinning at each other like a pair of idiots. Aislin probably thinks they're weird, but she's probably higher than a kite. That's reason enough to say that she wouldn't notice any oddities. They let go of each other.
"A very accurate guess." Shannon says, adjusting her glasses. "Before I continue; I am Shannon Balore, local fashionista, and this is Deborah Termellio."
Deborah waved enthusiastically, "Hi!"
Shannon smiled, "And to answer your question, not really." She coughed, clearing her throat, "I've been coming to this school for three years, and underneath all the fancy buildings and speeches, it's just another teenage wasteland. Just one with less ways out... Only one thing really keeps me here." She turned to Deborah and smiled. The romantic gesture was ignored.
Deborah had a different out look on the school, "Well, it isn't that bad. There's plenty of cool people here, and this place is a... teenaged paradise. You just need to know what to do, and who to talk to..."
"... It's going to be hard when she doesn't have a power that tells her just that." Shannon playfully rolled her eyes, getting a bump on the arm from Deborah. "Ow! That hurt!"
But Shannon did have a bit of a point, Deborah has used her power to carry her through most of life... then again, she knew she didn't always make the right choice with her information. She scratched the back of her neck. She had to ignore those thoughts. "But, yeah. If you need a pointer or two, just ask me. I'm probably going to give you better answers than anyone else."
Dana Lucille Alcott, & Theresa Sindel Obott.
Sydney, Sydney, Sydney... Nice name. It reminded Dana of Australia, for obvious reason.
Past introductions, the girl didn't speak much. Probably because she was such a timid little thing. Perhaps they can make her open up about herself? The pair didn't seem like the intimidating types, right? Out of all the people who can throw buildings, or shoot nuclear blasts out of their nipples, they have to be the two least intimidating kids on this whole island. Perhaps the first step would be starting a conversation.
"So, you're new right?" Dana asked, sparking a conversation. "Well, I know that first coming here might be a bit shocking at first, seeing all these people and their strange little powers. But you'll get used to it, trust me, you haven't been here for seven years." She smiled.
"Nice hair." Theresa complimented Sydney's hair. She sat down, since her legs would get tired. She was wondering how long it would take for Sydney to ask about the scarf around her face. Though, it was getting a little loose. Theresa put her hands behind her head and tightened the scarf really fast. "So where did you come from, Sydney? Everyone here comes from all different backgrounds, races and cities, you wouldn't believe it." Preferably, Theresa would like to keep powers out of the conversation. Because Dana and Theresa could get into a pissing contest about who's more uncomfortable with their powers and still find a draw.
