Updates are going out as we speak. Unfortunately, most of the next day I will be spending doing homework and accomplishing chores, so I shant have the time to slaughter the innocent turn fields fallow bring war to all corners of civilization resolve updates expediently. I will try to get things done within my two-day mark, but I can't make any promises.

The fuck you talking about? I'm sorry, but nobody's waging a genocide on Therral people, only on Lord Solterra with his strange laws and insults to the church and his allies. Be a little bit more delicate, and maybe you wouldn't have chaos and mayhem.

I don't recall insulting anyone, especially the church. I never said anyone was going to wage genocide. Flooby, help me out? Confuzzled

Banning alcohol is ludicrous, and sending armed men striding around the land to pillage churches and murder priests is even more ludicrous than that.

And calling one of your only allies and your technically future wife a fucking harlot is also ludicrous, man. Face it, bro, Lord Solterra is pretty damn strange.

You insulted the Church by not attending their trial. You didn't wage genocide, he was just responding to your statement that you will not give up in the face of armageddon with, basically, "what armageddon?"

Don't gang up on Cale, guys. His evil brings glee to the Great Flooby's heart.

Solterra is hardly 'evil', I just don't think he's acting expediently. Righteousness must be tempered with reason. As long as your ultimate goal is righteousness, and the actions that you must undertake are to further that goal, you are acting righteously. Solterra is allowing his ultimate goal of righteousness to restrict his repertoire of actions to be undertaken.

They went around their own country murdering innocent priests for loot.

That isn't evil?

Solterra does not see the priestly order as innocent, and the murders were in response to an excommunication being levied upon him, and the Church calling for an invasion of Therral.

Can I read a first-hand account of this clerical 'culling' somewhere? It sounds like something count Dracula would have approved of, and if that GIF is anything to go by, is quite something to behold. As much has the intrigues around Rone and his family interest me, the sheer madness going on in Therral at the moment is simply captivating.

Edit: Also, Nex, the priests have little to do with the decisions of either their king or the archbishop. They may be caught in the crossfire, but they could have, possibly, been given a choice to leave the country, or give up their faith or something along those lines. There are options beside wanton murder.

I cannot release any private discussions that happen between me and another player, unless there is some IC reason for its release. If you want details straight from the horse's mouth, you can ask Lord Solterra himself.

Chatting with one of his courtiers might also give you some valuable information. I hear that Flooby chap is quite the amusing cad!

Not looking for valuable information, just some IC lecture. I can understand not releasing certain content on the grounds that meta-gaming could happen, though it's a bit of a shame.

The priests were just caught in a cross-fire because of all the excommunicating and risky business going on. The fact that soldiers have been ordered to instill law on their own lands makes them fearful from their own neighbors and have no idea of how they will act, especially those that follow the church so close to their heart. I didn't give the order to kill priests, soldiers know how to protect themselves. NEITHER am I saying a priest was a threat, but if any of my soldiers are still following me, they dislike threats against me.

To Lady Olga, I never called you a harlot, I quoted "cold-hearted harlot" because those were the rumors floating around in bars in my Kingdom, and I bitch smacked anyone I heard say it right off of their stool. I informed you of this when Solterra requested to court. Apparently Lady Olga didn't know of such rumors, so this time I just told her what the rumors were.

To Outcast, not every soldier I have is just a man paid to hold a sword, some of them actually follow my law like others follow the church with passion, and I have told them how to deal with anyone holding any alcohol. Why is it ludicrous when you can drink cider? Cider is entirely more common, easier to obtain, and cheaper (at least within my Kingdom). And anyone who willingly surrendered their bottles were given bottles of Cider freely. The church is being a damned news reporter right now, and you know how that is.

However, with being excommunicated, there is no more need of a Lundland church in my lands while I have control over my lands. So yes, I gave the order to rob the churches of any bullis they had. I can get away with not paying a few of my most trustful soldiers for a season or two, but I have thousands of men, trained and paid to hold a sword, and nothing more. Besides, I spent too much fucking Bullis on Lady Olga's parade. A parade in hopes to sway the woman who obviously rejected me before the summit arranged because I went to war with the church.

Guys, it was either war with the church, or I lose control of my kingdom to the church and my people lose their freedom. I mean for god sakes I pay most of my men with free homage and extra food for their families. I very much doubt the church would keep those things. I'd become another vassal to the damn Overlord, watching my men die for his life. I never said they would kill my people, but they would lose their current life. Not life as in Mario Lives. Life as in a way of life.

If Ashgan cares so much about the killing of priests, he should want to find out about Solterra's underground religion.

Maybe I should; so far I know little more than that it is exclusive to Therral's higher-up society, basically making it something of an Illuminati-alike. Feel free to fill me in if you want to.

By the way Cale, cider is an alcoholic beverage too.

The Knights Templar killed people, does that make them right? No. But a life fought for others is a life worth living.

Also, no, you are kind of right, but the religion is exclusive to anyone Solterra chooses. Could have even been a lowly peasant.
