"Obviously you are the cold-hearted harlot all the rumors speak about."

It's not an insult?

Flooby may have opened his mouth a few words too much tonight, so I will say this once; I know how to separate meta-knowledge from ingame knowledge. But Lord Wolff needs to watch what he does from now on. Or at least, until Solterra is dead.

To Sadko, a bunch of words put together seems to be a phrase, is it not? Please, do you think Solterra would have wasted all of his food and money on a parade for you, and still go on with it, if it put him into debt that he has to call out huge loans and ask Lord Cole to sell him large amounts of food? Solterra's going to die broke and hungry, Sadko, and I doubt he'd feel that way if he had actually fallen for Lady Olga.

I see; didn't know they even called untreated apple juice 'cider' in the States. The article does claim though that it is only available in fall, so the people would still have to make do with something else for 3/4 of the year.

Stockpiles. Stockpiles of all the royal cider kept for Lord Solterra and his sister... and Flooby, on special occasions.

Edit; My personal favorite is hot cider
My GOD that shit is intoxicating

"Hot apple cider" or "mulled cider" (similar to "Wassail") is a popular fall (autumn) and winter beverage,[18] consisting of apple cider, heated to a temperature just below boiling, with cinnamon, orange peel, nutmeg, cloves, or other spices added.

Stockpiles are equipped with underground freezers with stone walls.

Edit, nope nope, kind of was a joke but also my bad.

The true story is preservation in the middle ages was real. Two examples; Drying and salting.

These edits happen too fast for me bra. Anyway, uhm, preservation did exist in the middle ages, but traditionally more for foods than for drinks as I see it. Drying and smoking for example apply to meat in particular. You don't do either to a drink.

Are we really having an argument over methods of keeping cider cool?

Nothing wrong with discussing medieval technology in a thread about a medieval world, is there?

Cider is typically a fall drink as it is associated with that season. Orange Juice is typically a summer drink as it is associated with pools, hot sun, and the out doors.
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Apple-Cider

1. Wash your hands then grade and scrub your apples. Sanitize all equipment, including utensils and containers, then thoroughly wash your hands again.
2. Grind the apples to a fine pulp (called pomace). This initiates cellular breakdown and releases the juices inside. The finer the pulp, the more juice will be extracted and (usually) the darker and cloudier the cider.
3. Load the pulp into a porous fabric bag (thus forming a “cheese”) and press it. The juice/cider expressed is properly called “must.” Depending on the varieties and equipment used, expect to extract three to six gallons of cider per bushel of apples.

Cider is made via apples. Obviously in the Winter it would be harder, but it's why you preserve the apples.

Oh, I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear, because it's important: if a town is destroyed, that counts as having all its trade routes raided. Meaning, nobody's towns get a wealth upgrade this annum. And you're losing a great deal of tariffs.

Someone destroyed those towns, and it weren't pirates.

Just thought I'd inform you all.

No, I'm talking about different actions. Coldport, Iceport, Longspear, and Soarheight have all been destroyed, looted, and had their populations taken as slaves.

It's not certain who exactly did the raiding, only that a large force came and destroyed all the towns. Ulster has dropped from the RP, the Stronghearts are all dead, a large chunk of the population of the Ironstone Islands are now starving and peniless, and House Ealmund battles with a the combined forces of the Reavers and the Bloodhorns for control of the island.

The humanitarian mission continues! Although... the logistics of this is going to be much harder.....pirates, civil war, and an ocean to cross.
