Thanks for your vote of confidence, rad as balls is what I aim for.

Kilo, if you need a hand with anything, let me know. Even if you don't want me back here, I'd be happy to do anything in getting this RP off the ground.

Here's the map. I've cut it into countries, and numbered them. Use it if you want, up to you :) It's what I woulda done, but then that's me.

100 regions all told, nice even cut, for an epic sized game.

Welcome back SyrianHamster. I liked your NS, Karanova had some interesting political ideas. I'm OK with either map system-it's no problem for me to redraw Gurska's borders. Is darkwolf still around? I could see his country and mine clashing ideologically.

Karanova would be very interesting for my nation too. I could see a lot of interactions between my nation and yours SyrianHamster.
The map looks great too. I know now how to balance my territory.

Thanks guys, means a lot. But Kilo has the final say in matters.

Same applies with the map, it was just a suggestion. It'd make it easier to pinpoint NPC states, but again, Kilo is the new captain of this ship and it's down to what he wants to do.

@Syrian
Oh look what the cat dragged in. You dare show yourselves in this respectable role play!? Have you no decency!?

I jest I jest. XD

The map is okay, but I think I'll let players maybe claim more than in plot as long as they're adjacent to each other. That way of someone wants some larger nation, they can have it. Of course I'll use discretion on this and make sure nobody abuses that.

But yeah, overall I like the map idea. Thanks for carving it all up for us.

If the timeline is clarified once and for all, and we get everyone on the same page, I may considering joining. But I'm still concerned with how some people have giant metal ships, and others don't, ect. Seems really unorganized. It's probably not your fault, but it's a problem I'd rather see fixed before it becomes a clusterfuck.

Agreed.

Mr. Kilo, perhaps you could show the group a picture or two of the most advanced tech you would expect to see in the RP? That way people could work their way back from that, and use the kind of technology shown as their rare/later units.

Also thanks for accepting me back into the flock, I promise not to launch a coup. *rubs hands together when no one's looking*

But yeah seriously, thanks.

Maybe to balance it out, describe the most powerful class of airship/ship/rifle/artillery etc. and set that as the standard. Then everyone can go from there..

I'm personally in favor of an early 20th Century timeline (1900 - 1914ish). That is what most tech is looking like right now anyway.

Me too as I feel like you can have more diversity in your nation's tech. If that's what the majority wants, I'll put that in the OOC as well.

I'm down for WWI biplanes and artillery; maybe tanks so long as they're not behemoths. More like the Renault FT. I'm cool with airships as long as they aren't bristling with siege artillery-caliber guns.

Maybe the RP ought to be advertised as WWI-era rather than steampunk. Don't think it'd be dieselpunk either, as we're not at interwar-WWII tech yet.

Listen, I'm sorry from being a dick to you all, saying that I'll do it one day and then don't show results. I'm the worst game master there is on the guild. I see that Kilo6 is controlling this very, I knew that you were a great game master. I got a question to ask to you all, could I join? Not as the game master, no I gave up being the game master because of my failure running this roleplay, but just as a regular player. If you want me to not to join, I understand the reasons behind it and will leave you guys along. I also know that I state that I hate this roleplay, it isn't true, I pulled my heart into this and I failed it. So, Kilo6, yes or no?

If I am joining this, I calm number '80' or if that's taken number '69'. Again, thanks for taking over this roleplay, Kilo6.

Airships can armed like their sea going counterparts, but the big differences will be that they're less armored and it takes a bigger ship for big guns. Like a airship armed with 30cm cannons would be much larger than a regular ocean going vessel with the same armament, thus Airships will be cost much more the better the armament. So a sea going battleship is gonna be significantly cheaper to use than an airship equivalent

Would it really be feasible to arm airships like their sea-going counterparts? Having to stay airborne, they'd have a much less-stable platform for firing, and that's a ton of weight to keep in the sky.

Would it really be feasible to have flying battleships to begin with? Of course not! But Airships with big guns are cool as hell and this is fantasy tech, so yeah, it is now magically feasible.

Rule of Cool, all that jazz, etc. Can't wait to get my charger so I can get this going.

Machines-guns for anti-air purposes could work. Aside from that, I think only bombs would be feasible. The Germans did it in RL. That's a painting of a German airship diving over Warsaw to drop bombs down on the city.

EDIT: I agree with the rule of cool scenario though.

I was just going to arm mine with down facing rifle ports, and a Gatling gun or two. For me personally, it's their ability to move troops over difficult terrain, and quickly, that gives me their worth.
