Plot In A Nutshell (TL;DR):

After a large cruise ship sinks, the passengers and crew members are left afloat in the vast ocean. Some are lucky enough to wash ashore on a tropical island.

They convene and put together some sort of civilization, but trouble brews when peoples start to doubt those in charge. Not only that, but an unknown force inhabits the island, scattering what little mind they have left.

It's important to note that the Captain is not the center of the RP, I just wanted to write from his perspective.

I don't really care about cussing, so do whatever you want with that.
Let's keep genders and positions even please. No five medics, and one musician and engineer.
Captain's pretty important to initial post, if anyone wants to scoop up that position. Not much during RP, though, unless character(s) prefer.
Based around 1926, so nothing modern and fancy like that.
I wrote the Captain as a "he", because considering the time, they probably would not have allowed a woman to be a Captain.

Mine ((And to be clear, I didn't grab the Captain position at the start. He was relevant to the plot, so he kinda had to be alive...))

Name: Joseph Leonardo Ghent
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Fears:
Thunderstorms/Hurricanes ((Especially at sea.))
Loss ((As is the things he has grown attached to.))
Reptiles ((They're freaky as shit, tho.))
Position: Captain
Personality: Normally strict and very "by-the-rules", he can usually relax after a few glasses of wine, or bottles of beer. He wouldn't describe himself as a heavy drinker, but he really is, though certainly not on the job. He gets attached to things and people very quickly, and when they leave, or he looses them, he's usually hurt emotionally. To combat this, he's formed sort of a barrier around himself, and hesitates to get attached to anyone, or anything. But to those who have managed to slip past, he holds very dear to his heart, and in contrast to his normal personality is very gentle and kind with them. Armed with a sharp tongue, he really is built for commanding, holding firm in his beliefs and own sense of justice.
History: His father was a fisherman, who constantly brought him to sea with him to work. Joseph found he loved everything about it, and was determined to become the Captain of a boat. However, one day his father was out at sea when a hurricane struck, making him realize the dangers that life at sea brought. Though this was indeed a scary thought, he persisted. However, there was the matter of World War I, and he was draft in the middle of his schooling to become a Captain in the first place. After, he worked hard to graduate and this is his first real large job, and is fairly new at being a Captain, really.

Name: Marjorie Elaine Rourke
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Fears: Being alone, Spiders, the dark
Position: Passenger
Personality: Marjorie or Marjie as she prefers to be called is a curious and wide eyed young woman, with eyes and head filled with adventure. She's spirited and adventurous, yet strong hearted and stubborn. She's a sweetie for the most part except when forced into the customs and gender role of her times. She's a progressive thinker.
History: Marjorie was born the only child to a very rich and distant family in Mississippi. As life would have it Marjie was raised by an elderly governess, the woman staying with her and being her only friend well into her life. As fate would have it, it was her governess who attended the cruise with her, her parents sending the child away for a small vacation on Marjie's insisting. Unfortunately Marjie was not able to make it to a lifeboat in time and her dutiful governess stayed by the young woman's side all throughout what they though would be the end. When she awoke her governess was nowhere to be found, most likely not surviving the ordeal.

Personality:laid back just trying to get through each day she has always cotton looks for being a medic and not settling down to have a husben and children.She loves a challenge as long as it has nothing to do with heights, rats , or needles. Yes even being a medic she has a deep fear of needles she doesn't mind giving shots but getting them is just not in her future .
History:Alana was born into a family with four older sisters all whom have a loving family they take care of but she never wanted that she wanted to help people and she wanted to change the world but in this day and a age no one would teach her let alone hire he so she moved away and learned her trade from an old sick doctor whom at his prime was the go to man for healing.She then got a job working on a cruise ship as a medic

Fears: Being lost, being in situations out of his control, confined spaces, unusual insects
Position: Navigator
Personality: Isak was born to be a navigator. Everything about him yearned for adventure. He is a bit absent-minded at times and isn't very sensitive to others' feelings or emotions, preferring to focus on the concrete details of a situation. He takes his work serious but handles stress well and doesn't get overworked easily. In his time off, he likes to be lazy, sit on the deck and watch the sky or the waves and daydream. Isak is attuned to colder climates, as he was an immigrant from Iceland. Isak keeps his distance from new people, but once he warms up to them, loves to converse for hours on end about just about any topic.

Name: Lyra
Age: 17
Gender: female
Fears: Spiders, dark and isolation
Position: passenger
Personality: quiet. However, when put in to a difficult situation, she tends to panic to the exstream. Over all, she is a nice person though.
History: She was born intoa family of faily rich parents. She went to a boarding school in the countryside while her parents forgot about her in the city. The boarding school was like every other, girls learnt to take care of the house hold and other duties such a s cooking while boys learnt about jobs exclusive for Males at the time. When she finaly finnished Boarding school, her parents treated her to a cruise in order to make up for her loss. However, on the cruis, Lyra was left to her own devices while her parents partied away. She was scared, being alone. So she went outside. And that's when the crisis hit the cruis ship.

I presume this is still open and it sounds fun! I'll work on a CS soon :3 I do have a question before I make a CS; is it all right for the musicians to have had a singer? Perhaps she didn't sing with them all the time but some songs...? If not, I'll think of something else.

Age: 16
Gender: Male
Fears: Heights, disappointing others, and, oddly enough, deep bodies of water.
Position: Passenger.
Personality: Distant a usually not one for making friends. He may seem mysterious and distant at first, but he's really just a silly kid with no sense of balance.
History: He comes from a rich family line, and even though he doesn't want to, his parents want him to take over the company. They baby him, and frankly he doesn't like getting everything he wants rather than needs. He knows what happens in the world and the unfortunate lives Roland never had to live and wants to give some money to charity. His parents don't seem to like that idea. When he was given a chance to ride a cruise, then, despite him hating the ocean, he told them he wanted to go alone.

Personality:Smart and questioning have always been applied to John. Wherever he's gone people have called him, "John the Genius." He spends most of his time reading or writing but fun to him is not fun to many of the other passengers. Some may call him crazy. He just calls himself adventurous. John has always been daring, ever since he was 9 he's wanted to be whisked away on a wonderful adventure. He often created adventures for himself that would take him marching around the streets of London where he made many friends, some rich, some poor, some young some old. Despite his adventurous nature, John would rather support a great leader rather than be a leader himself.
History:John was born to a British maid who died while in childbirth. Luckily for him, the maid's estranged father stepped in to raise his grandson like his own child. The grandfather was a wealthy newspaper editor and he passed his love of writing on to John. This resulted in John beginning a career as an author when he was 18. He wrote a very successful book, The Waters of Ealdor, and went on the cruise hoping to gain inspiration for a new book. When the cruise ship started sinking he was helping people get aboard a life boat, and refused to take one and instead went around the almost sunken boat looking for other passengers. He was on his way back to the life boat, having given up hope of finding anyone else, when he was knocked unconscious by a sudden rock of the boat which caused him to hit his head on a table rather hard. He awoke on the island however, very unsure of how he had gotten there.

Name: Charlie Rosenberg
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Fears:
Phobia of Eyes – yes, a strange thing to fear…how come he isn’t falling apart when he walks into a room? Well, the eyes have to be centimetres from his own, for him to start getting the shakes…he usually doesn't let people stand that close. He can’t stare too close into a mirror.
The Darkness of Deep Waters – it gives him an eerie feeling, he took swimming lessons cause of this.
Being Unprepared – expects the unexpected, but fears that which is not known. Life, am I right?
Position: Steward
Personality: Very strict about being organised, clean…and though he is easy to cross for the smallest of slip ups, he does well to keep his temper under wraps and not condescendingly correct people for their faults. Most of the time, when alone, he tends to read quietly or reorganise and plan out his day…with others; he does alright with socialising and helping others.
History: Raised in a large family with many siblings, he took care of his younger siblings and developed a high amount of patience…but due to the lack of money in their household, he never got the full education so her could help out his younger siblings, and to work to support the family...as well as give his eldest siblings the full education experience. It was only after his eldest sibling got a higher paying job to support the family that he started saving money to move out on his own, and it was only through an acquaintance’s connection, hard work, and blackmail that he got a job as a Steward.
The job as one of the Stewards suited him fine for the past two years, and he’s actually been doing a great job…if it weren’t for his low education, he probably would have gotten Head Steward by now.
Appearance:
Other: Wears glasses, his eyesight hasn’t been great for a long time…he also happens to like strawberries, cooking and cleaning, and the colour grey.

Name: Madison "Maddy" Hender.

Age: 21.

Gender: Female.

Fears: Swimming/water, surprisingly. Fighting (verbal or physical). Small spaces. Extremely loud noises.

Position: Singer for the musicians.

Personality: Madison comes off as a sweet, almost naïve girl with manners and the ability to keep up a conversation, showing she grew up with dinner parties happening almost every night. She isn't easily angered or annoyed, instead she has quite the large patience and typically tries to keep the peace among people. Though, that doesn't mean she won't speak her opinion and keep quiet; she has quite the loud voice in a conversation. She isn't easily hurt or offended, either; she's very forgiving and comes off very wise for her age, always looking to the bright side of things instead of the negative.

History: Madison grew up in a happy, wealthy home, with loving parents and three older siblings, all brothers. She was made tough by them, taught to not let anything get to her. But by her mother, she was taught to be a lady and to be kind and forgiving. She still got down and dirty with her brothers and knows how to throw a good punch, though she'd rather not. She had a few dates but never really anything serious; her brothers usually chased them off. Having a near death experience very young, she had almost drowned and water isn't something she enjoys being around unless it was in a bathtub. She wanted to be a singer at a very young age, always shocking people with her low, raspy voice of singing once she was older, but she could never find a footing for it. When the cruise ship was looking for a singer, despite hating swimming and big bodies of water, she jumped on the job and actually got it.
