Hart stared wide eyed at Leatherhide. "This is absolutely insane!" Her brow was furrowed. She looked at the others. Were they supposed to kill this thing? But why? Was it even real? She shook her head, starting to get confused. There was no guarantee that thing meant any harm in the first place. "I don't think the sludge would affect me you guys." She looked at the others. There seemed to be no plan of action here really.
Guys I'm so sorry about my non activity. College has been absolutely NUTS lately./: Please forgive me. I will get started on a post immediately.
Hart walked into the simulation room. A bog...? Okay... not really a big deal. But how to get everyone there was the question. She pursed her lips. This would be.... interesting.
I assumed Oracle was a real person. Like a head at the agency. I imagined her as a blonde woman who is not necessarily cold but she gets her job done no matter what
Freaking Hart. I swear man. She will never not be thought of as the momma of our weird little super family by me.
Hate was taken aback a bit by Hikari's question. Why exactly was she so optimistic about everyone? She stopped, looking down at the floor. "I guess... Because... Well I've seen what everyone here can do. It's all so amazing to me. And I know you guys sometimes get annoyed or feel hopeless that you're stuck here. But for me... This is my first real home. It feels wonderful to have a family for once in my life. Because that's what we are now. A family." If anyone had been looking closely they would've seen tears glimmering in her eyes for just a second before she blinked them away. "I guess what I'm trying to say is... We're all so largely different from the people in the outside world. But in here we're all kinda different in a same way. A way that makes us understand each other. I for one don't want to have to go back to the animosity that people give me bcause I'm different. That's why I'm willing to do anything to keep this from falling apart. I'll even be the annoying lectury mom of the family." She laughed, looking up at them all again. "Even if I don't know you guys very well yet, you've all sort of grown on me already."
Hart looked at each of them in turn, her brow furrowed. "I don't necessarily think we have any weaknesses." She looked up at Jacque. "I mean maybe you probably couldn't dial a phone or hold a teacup in gator form. But that's what the rest of us are for. We each have different strengths. When paired together and working well, we can have no weaknesses." She smiled slightly. "I think we'd be unstoppable if we worked at it. It's just the mental mountain we all have to climb to get to that point." She felt a bit preachy, but somebody had to be the voice of reason here.
Hart slowly followed the blue line through the house. She assumed everyone else was already there. Walking into the hallway she found all the others except Nic waiting outside the door. She smiled. "Hey guys! Ready for this? It's gonna be fun!" She didn't really seem to notice that no one was in a really good mood. It was just sort of her way to be optimistic about everything. That's how she got through everything she'd been through. If she hadn't functioned that way she probably wouldn't have been alive today. Her short conversation with John had really set her to thinking. He was an orphan just like her. But he got away from the orphanages and the endless stream of parents looking for children to adopt. He didn't know how her life had affected her. He'd only screamed about his. She looked at the others, pushing away the thoughts of her past. They depressed her. "So... do we go in?"
Ohhhh haha okay
