Grey Star said I'm sorry to say this but the Judge is outright vetoed because a lot of his abilities results in autohits for the most part.

i knoooow it suuuucks

I anticipated that this might happen, especially considered that his actual in-game techniques are annoyingly overpowered for our purposes- The words 'Aneurysm Rupture' and 'Immediate Sclerosis' make an appearance in his final battle.

I'm not giving up on the Judge quite yet, though. For one thing, OFF's graphics are quite simple, so battles are mostly text-based. We can interpret the Judge's ability however we like, especially as we only ever see it happening in a small room, at point blank, against a single target. For a start, we can adjust that to make his bodily seizures a contact effect- Let's say he has to drag around his back legs to come within range of biting or scratching a target to begin dealing damage. With what means he induces the effects are also left unknown, so let's say he has to use physical contact repeatedly to build up a 'connection' to his target to begin using his ability, and this connection can be broken if he himself takes injury or is separated from a target.
More importantly, the full extent of the Judge's powers are only ever seen when the player is actively controlling him. When playing the Batter during the same encounter, the fight goes exactly as can be expected between a cat and a bat-wielding sportsman (unless you're underlevelled, in which case it's still much easier than other boss battles). So assuming the player stopped playing OFF (the Judge is autonomous again in the credits cutscenes), we're at liberty to take away as much of his actual danger as we like- Let's say that, unaided, his blindness is a momentary blur that only gradually grows into a loss of vision if he keeps working at it.

So in short, his paralysis/poison/sensory deprivation/stroke could be written as longer-term effects that needs to be built up and maintained by close contact, which in practice rarely lasts long enough to become more than stiffness/nausea/confusion/a severe headache. Would such edits do?

Sorry, but the answer is still no. There's logically no way to fight against the effects even if it takes a while for it to work.

You can kick the cat.

I still think avoiding an old feline's bites or separating yourself from him is considerably easier than avoiding, say, a gunshot- Which takes much less effort on the part of the shooter, much more effort to dodge, causes much more damage and causes it instantly. Now that I think about it, a bullet hole also isn't alleviated by running away.

True, but it can be dodged in the first place. A psychic force acting inside upon your body is much harder to dodge IC since no one knows where it's going to happen except around the cat's vicinity. And even then you can't exactly minimize the influence under normal circumstances either. You should choose a different character if you have other choices.

I think this must've been a product of me explaining something badly because the key to the ability is the cat coming into contact (compare with the impact of a weapon) and the effect accumulating as he repeats the action (compare to the injury from a weapon). I don't think this is discussion is going anywhere, so sure, I'll toss Pablo into the dirt mound and see if I can adapt a League character. Possibly Hecarim, though he doesn't have as much of a personality/backstory and we already have a skeleton hell rider.

...How fond are you of crossbows?

*Name: Dust
*Universe: Dust an Elysian Tail
*Appearance:
*Personality: Dust, despite his strong charisma, is almost shy and is very reserved with good reason. This mannerism usually makes him come across as a bit stand-offish, which Fidget often points out when he is talking to people. He knows the difference between right and wrong, going overboard on justice at certain times, however he is more than willing to help out people no matter what help they are looking for.
::Dust displays distinctive personalities carried on from two souls who have passed away prior to the main story, Cassius and Jin. Carrying traits from Cassius, Dust is gifted (or cursed) with the knowledge of combat, enabling him to easily defeat several mobs at a time and wield extraordinary amounts of power. Though with this advantage in battle, he appears aggressive towards situations beyond his control, often to the point of feeling agitated or violent at minor slip-ups.

Dust also carries the traits of Jin, which makes act thoughtful towards people and label his actions with reason. The majority of Dust's strong-willed behavior originates from Jin's trait of following through with tasks and using a great deal of consideration towards victims and offenders.
*Powers/Skills:
::Dust is quite agile on his own, being able to swing the Blade of Ahrah easily, even in mid-air.
::Dust Storm: A special technique with the Blade of Ahrah where he spins it to create a vacuum that damages enemies and sucks items. Can be combined with Fidget's projectiles to unleash powerful attacks. It continually draws power, and when nearing depletion Dust turns red. Continuing the storm will knock down Dust and force the storm's end.
::Aerial Dust Storm: Performing Dust Storm while in the air makes Dust spin the center of the vortex, rapidly moving and targeting enemies. This can be used to move quickly across the screen, and also to reach high places when enemies are above Dust (including places designed to be reached with Double Jump or Boost Jump). Using Fidget's projectiles while doing Aerial Dust Storm is a deadly combo.
::Dodge: A quick sidestep that allows him to evade enemy attacks and get behind them for strategical assaults. It consumes a bit of his power bar. Dodging does not make Dust invulnerable or grant him invincibility frames. This move is also available in the air.
::The Underling: Crouch dash. A quick slide maneuver that allows Dust to pass through low obstacles. It also inflicts damage against enemies.
::Iron Grip: Climbing. Dust can hold himself against specific plants and climb them with jumps. Found in The Sorrowing Meadow.
::Double Jump: A pair of wings show for a short time on Dust's back, allowing him to perform an additional jump. Found in Blackmoor Mountains.
::Boost Jump: While riding an air current, jumping will rocket Dust extremely high, allowing access to further areas. Found in Everdawn Basin.
*Brief Bio: He saved the moonbloods from being decimated by the xenophobic General Gaius, but died during the process. His soul(s) created a new form somewhere else in the world, but when he woke up, he was not in the same universe. He was here.
*Equipment:
::Blade of Ahrah: an ancient and magical sword. The blade is sentient and is able to speak. Along with this it can sense energies given off by living things, and uses this to warn dust of danger.
::Ahrah is the voice of reason, practicality and logic in the main trio of Dust, Fidget and him. He usually frowns upon any form of unnecessary risk taking and knows much more than he lets on which pertains to his relatively secretive nature.
::Fidget: Not equipment, but a friend.

::Fidget is very much the opposite of Ahrah in terms of personality. She often has a playful, lighthearted view of things and, in some cases, could be seen as mischievous. Fidget is the comic relief to many of the darker and more serious elements of the story and uses meta-fiction to break the fourth wall, mostly seen when she refers to herself and others as video game characters, or makes references to other games.

She is quick to make herself sound more powerful than she really is to try to impress Dust, especially shortly after they first meet in The Glade. For example, in Aurora Village she claims that she's landed lots of 1,000-hit combos before.
Fidget has a kind of "sixth sense" that allows her to "feel" objects from long distances, such as keys and treasure chests.

::While being frail and delicate, Fidget is capable of casting magic, initially in the form of small energy spheres. While the projectiles are weak on their own, the spell becomes a powerful attack when combined with Dust and Ahrah's Dust Storm technique.
::Energy Blast: Fidget's default projectile, which she can use once Dust learns Dust Storm. By itself, enemies aren't noticeably affected, but when combined with Dust Storm, its numbers multiply and seek enemies to inflict greater damage.
::Fireball: Learned once Fuse is defeated. Fidget releases small fireballs that cause small damage upon contact with enemies. When combined with Dust Storm, it creates large pillars of fire that inflict constant damage.
::Thunderbolt: Learned once Lady Tethys is defeated. Fidget releases a long-range shock attack that hits enemies constantly. When combined with Dust Storm, it creates a large electric current that hits enemies in chain.

Done, with crossbow and all.

I think the only things to note here are that Twitch is not an antagonist; He won't get affection from other characters but he's smart enough not to turn on them, or abandon them while he remains stranded. The six poisoned bolts are there to last him the entire roleplay, so he won't be using them outside of boss fights or if he gets himself into an extremely tight spot. As for alchemy, its main application might be to grudgingly prevent infection in an ally or produce something like bait or fuel.

If there is still a spot, put this guy in it.

*Name: White Silver King Isley
*Universe: Claymore
*Appearance: Human form.
Awakened Form
*Personality: Isley is a man of two faces. While usually, most people see a polite, friendly man with a warm smile, his true nature is a merciless killer. Isley has no problems sacrificing dozens of his comrades to get what he wants. He does not like acting in a group. but also enjoys the company of people he claims are his 'family'. In this instance, he goes out of his way to protect them, and acts very much like an older brother, or father figure.
*Powers/Skills: Isley can, in his awakened Form, shape-shift his arms into many different weapons. These include a Multi-shot bow (pictured in appearance) lance, claymore-and-shield, claw, axe and axe. Also, despite his large size, Isley's Awakened form possess unnerving speed, allowing him at top speed to vanish in a blur and reappear elsewhere, but this is taxing and isn't used to much. His human form also has great strength and speed proportionate to his appearance, as well as mastery of the bladed fighting style.
*Brief Bio: Isley was the No 1 Claymore of his generation, as well as one of the few male Claymores in the Organization. But like most male Claymores, he awakened and turned into a fearsome creature, later referred to as an 'Abyssal One'. He took over the lands of the north, but later gave them up in favour for the south. He was defeated by the mentally disjointed by increabily powerful Priscilla, but then decided to try and use her to take over the entire island. He created an army and destroyed the Claymores sent after him, before heading to the south and defeating the Abyssal One that claimed that area. Then, after several engagements with a new Organization weapon called 'Abyssal Feeders' he was defeated, and eaten alive.

Then, when he saw Death close, Isley reappeared somewhere else, a strange world, clearly not the island he had come from. Highly weakened by the fights with the Abyssal Feeders, he decided to explore, and find out where he was, and how to get back to his family.
*Equipment: His Orginization Claymore.

So coincidentally, both of the characters I want to play are burn victims; I guess that says something about me. Anyway, I want to play Balalaika simply for the purpose of trying to get others to do her bidding for her, considering her leadership role. That’s not to say she won’t get down and dirty at all though. And then there’s Kane, because nobody ever plays as a big dumb wrestle-man in these things and I think going around hitting bad guys with choke-slams and tombstone piledrivers would literally be the most hype. I was in between this and running around as HHH with a sledgehammer, but I feel that Kane could be considered more of a character than Helmsley. And this is the kayfabe version of Kane, so that means that his parents actually died in a fire and he was truly institutionalized; instead of being a normal dude playing a character. Anyway, if I’ve gone and fudged up something feel free to let me know.

Oh man, I totally forgot about that part. Living through a war would probably make you mentally strong though.

And on the topic of Isley… was he in the show? It’s been a few years since I’ve seen the anime so my memory’s a bit foggy. Maybe I just don’t remember him, but it makes me wish they adapted all of the manga. I really should get ahold of it so I can figure out how the whole thing ended.

He was in the show, but I don't think he ever released in it. And, for now, to simulate his half-eaten form. I think he won't be able to Awaken.

Also, THANKS GRAY!
