Zack caught on quickly and immediately followed Lady Violet's directions as she said them. New toys to play with, huh? Not even an hour in and they're throwing top notch stuff his way. A set of clothes that didn't get dirty, a new cell phone, and a personalized, sentient laptop that was attuned to his very life force? It sounded like he had landed in some kind of sci-fi/fantasy movie. In a way, he guessed that was pretty damn close to what this was.Right. Back to the directions. Pressing his hands to the two platforms on his new PLT, It imprinted his aura in moments, bringing him to the form they were supposed to fill out.Desired Name: Zack CypherStudent / Citizen Rank: /\/003Age:16Gender: MaleTalents: I actually have no idea... Maybe air? I'm good at breathing. Does that count?Skills you have acquired: Being... a person...?Certificates you have acquired: Uh.... middle school diploma?Interested Career: An explorer... probably a scout of some type. I love to run.Finishing the short questionnaire, he looked it over. Satisfied with what he had filled in, he lowered the lid of the PLT. As he did so, Violet finished her lecture and asked if there were any questions. Since none were forthcoming, everyone just began to mill around and introduce themselves. Various conversations overlapped each other and he looked around the room, getting a sense of how many people had come together in this strange place. From what he could tell, There were three students who had been here for some time already, and four who had just recently been transported to this strange distant planet. Other than that, he saw only the butler and Lady Violet as people who worked here…As he sat and thought about who to talk to first, his thoughts turned to Chastity, the only person he even vaguely knew from his old life, and why he had never introduced himself. Sure he only saw her in the hallways and said “hi” every so often, but he felt he owed her at least that much. Maybe it would help a little to see a familiar face… Plus It seemed like she needed a friend. Getting up from his seat, he walked over towards her and opened his mouth to say hello.Crap.Now he remembered why he’d never introduced himself.Feeling his face heat as he stood there, he finally managed to thrust out a stiff arm for a handshake and blurt out his name. “Hi… uh… Zack. Do you… recognize me?”
The kid who she had seen fall into the painting had walked up to Chastity, and was nervously introducing himself. She turned in her seat and smiled confidently, and said to him. "Yeah, I saw you go into the painting in that tunnel, but I know you didn't see me. Though I can deduce that we probably lived somewhere near each other. So, did you see me around Public School 7331 on Central Avenue? I lived near there and that's where I had gone to school, when I wasn't skipping it to hang with my 'friends'. It seems odd don't you think? That the both of us would have magical cores, just happen to live so close to each other and yet never meet. Anyway, so you're Zack, huh? I'm Chastity, if you didn't catch it." She didn't bother with the handshake, that seemed kind of, well dorky, she didn't understand why he was so nervous.
Chastity didn't even recognize him from the school, she hadn't really paid attention to anyone outside of her little gang. But she figured she couldn't just ignore people here like she did there. Even though she was probably on the wrong foot with every student in here right now, she didn't want to be alone while she was at this academy. Chastity had become friends with her old group because she hadn't wanted to be alone back then either. And, now needing new friends, she was again willing to do whatever it took to get friends to hang out with, people for her to care for and for them to reciprocate. She had only started out so poorly because she was still attempting to befriend people like her old friends, but none of the students seemed to be like anyone she used to hang out with. The people here just weren't as cruel, and Zack at least seemed to be willing to actually get to know her before passing judgement.
James saw the strange man hurry away, he seemed nervous about something. He wasn't quite sure what to do, so he just shrugged and took his time in following the little man. Once reaching the door he could see several teenagers sitting at desks, some up and talking to each other. The odd man was talking to a woman at the front of the room. James smiled and waved at them with his robotic arm. He was just being friendly, being out of a war zone kind of lifted his spirits. Seeing the next generation at school helped him feel like all he had been through was worth it, because it was people like them he had fought so hard to protect.
