Aboard the Unrepentant-Lunar class cruiser
Varian Sector, System 64457839
Ultima Segmentum

It had been another successful raid, Warlord Beraesh of the warband "Khorne's Word" had struck at the Imperium in the Varian Sector once more butchering thousands of the Emperor's servants while mercenaries and minor warband leaders were either hired on or tagged along to grab at his tail coats. Almost undefended the civilized world of Heliopolis was caught unaware by the strike. Striking fast and hard he did his work while those with him went about their own personal tasks before withdrawing to the landing zones to escape to his cruiser.

This time things went different, an Imperium Lunar class cruiser, Remorseless had exited the warp shortly before the Unrepentant entered and with it's pair of escorts in tow pursued the Chaos warband into the warp. Few captains were willing to do so as the dangers of the twin warp storms are ever present with only corrupted navigators and psykers able to consistently and safely navigate the warp storms. The captain of the Remorseless would not allow an enemy to escape so easily though and pursued. Then in a system with no life and known only by a series of digits caught up to them where they struck immediately at the Chaos vessel. It was a brutal fight but the Imperium outnumbered and outgunned the Chaos warship even though both escorts now burn.

Warlord Beraesh gave the order though to close on his enemy, with the gap in firepower ever widening as the ships pounded each other his only chance was to ram and break the spine of the Imperium vessel. The captain of the [i]Remorseless[i] was an old hand at naval warfare and dodged the armored prow but caught the ship none the less. Colliding the ships hit at incredible speed and were lodged together crippling them both. Boarding parties are now moving freely through both ships trying to defeat the enemy vessel man to to man so that they may free themselves and potentially salvage their vessel.

Azus Dracates loomed over the other heretics that were waiting for the inevitable collision. The lone Alpha Legionnaire, shrouded by his chameleon cloak that fitted surprisingly well around the armored frame of the Traitor Marine, shaded him from view, if the other heretics that were waiting within this section cared to even look. They didn't, some already brandishing blades and guns, eager for bloodshed, others were more interested in the loot and glory to be had in taking the Imperial vessel from its fool captain. Dracates, however, never spoke of his reasons for joining this warband, for he did not join for the spoils of war, not the ones sought by others aboard this ship, nor did he seek vengeance and bloodshed against the Imperial dogs that operated the ship they were engaged in warfare with now. No, his reasons were solely his own, and no matter where he ended up, he seemed to always be in a position to further such things. And the reason for that, he also kept to himself as well, he was rather good at keeping most things to himself.

The shudder that ran through the ship, along with tearing noises and the protests of machinery and metal around them announced their arrival at their final destination. Dracates was wearing his helmet, which concealed any expression he might have made at the choice of tactics. He was no space navigator or tactician, though his few words with the heretics around him warned them against the Imperial armsmen that would be no doubt awaiting their assault. They went about their final preparations as the nearest breach over to the Imperial vessel was broadcasted to them, and the Alpha Legionnaire hefted his Autocannon, a M34 model that was rather well known and recognizable amongst those with any real military experience within their short lifespans. He utilized his stealthy, hidden approach to warfare to get into position, and the autocannon did the rest, more than once he turned a position into mincemeat from a well placed barrage of Autocannon shells. But, for now, such thoughts were banished, it was time for war.

The heretics ran towards the nearest way into the Imperial vessel, Azus Dracates utilizing his greater size to merely stride after them, loading the autocannon fully and now was ready to introduce these Armsmen of the Relentless to the lethal efficiency that was the Alpha Legion. The heretics poured into the breach in front of him, and with a stride, boarded the Imperial vessel, scanning and, should they have manifested, raise his autocannon towards the nearest hostiles aboard the ship to send them to their Corpse God, or to the hungry Gods of Chaos, should they lay claim to these poor fools souls first, since, after all, such things were commonplace, to those that knew of such things. But, to the immediate. He had boarded the Imperial vessel and was wary and ready to engage anyone who attempted to repel the Alpha Legionnaire, to their foolish deaths.

Lilian Kesper looked to her surroundings, the two warships having fully collided and, no doubt, leading to warfare and other such actions that would be made to secure one ship, or the other, for the glory of their respective leaders. The section that Lilian was currently in was a heavily damaged section, with both ships having their hulls fused and twisted together at this point into an effectively new section of both ships, with access to both ships more than readily available from this position. That certainly made things easy for the veteran, who would have easy access to her hated enemies aboard the Imperial vessel, which she wasted no real time in boarding across the ruined section of the ship, careful not to injure herself on any protruding parts or uneven sections of metal, even power armor could be impaled on such things, after all.

Lilian would find herself in some sort of maintenance tunnel or another thing along its design and use, and though she was more than ready for it, there wasn't a soul standing against her in this section. She suspected they had probably already answered the more obvious invasions into their vessel, or were engaging in their own onto the Chaos vessel she had been riding along with. While that made her arrival into this section of the ship easy, it hardly was what she was here to do, hang around some apparently now forgotten maintenance tunnel and wait out whatever was going to happen between the two vessels, she had more than a few things she herself needed to attend to within this vessel, she had enemies to dispatch, and other such things to do, after all.

So Lilian marched down into the tunnel, shoulders of her power armor scraping against the walls at many points, sometimes causing the veteran to have to turn her shoulders slightly to actually fit within the tunnel she was working her way down. This, of course, meant most folks couldn't fit more than single file as well, since even without power armor, Lilian would have been working down this tunnel single file if she had been entering the Imperial vessel with companions anyways. The power armor just made things a bit more snug than normal, nothing that she couldn't handle, no doubt, so she continued to make her way down the tunnel, ready for trouble that needed dispatched, no matter how troublesome it may be to deal with in this tunnel, depending on the threat.

Cremutus looked up in agitation as the collision alarm continued to blare. This noise was a familiar yet surprising addition to the constant hum of his power pack, and the loud banging of his forge hammer on the steel of the blade he was crafting. He contemplated turning off his aural receivers but remembered he had not taken the life of the Corpse Emperor's followers in a few decades.

As the ship shuddered and the sounds of metal twisting where heard down the companion ways Cremutus picked up his helmet, of ancient design the Mk V helmet had served him well since the Heresy and Luther's betrayal. He quickly subjugated the machine spirit that was surprisingly still active within the core of the suit. And booted his modified targeting matrix.

Placing his hammer down he turned to the wall on which is favored weapon, Slaughter Spitter, hung. He reverently picked up the Combi-Melta. Making sure that the correct lubricants where applied still, the correct sigls etched into the housing and the mark of Tzeentch was scribed on each individual bolter round. All where according to plan. He hefted his Power axe testing it's power field briefly. The smell of ozone assaulted His senses and He knew the weapon was ready.

Heading out from his personal Manufactorium. Deciding the best place for his war-craft would be as a rock on which the False Emperor's followers tide of bodies would break. He headed to where the fighting was thickest on The Unrepentant and prepared himself for the coming battle.

Chelkar stopped over his low and dimly lit workbench. A myriad of vials, burners and ingredients of all kinds littered it's surface. Some of the vials were filled with smokey and sickly colours of death and pus. Others were deep rusted reds, blacks, whites, even viscous pink... gloops was the best word he supposed. Each of these vials were handled with the utmost care. Each of these were carefully selected and tested ever since the warp brought him out of the vortex and into this blasted area of worthless space. The room itself was bare save for essentials he needed to live and to make his products. Even the light mostly can from the burning flames of the burners or candles/ small torches. He preferred the warmth of these and the smell of the smoke to the harsh and foreign artificial lights of the ship.

He didn't know how these ingredients on his table did it. Some of them should more aptly be called chemicals and toxins than anything else. But they gave him what he needed. It wasn't quite like the acidic sting on the nostrils Like Messian air had, or taste the same steely taste as the water when drank. But it served it's purpose. And if he injected it he found that it gave him nearly the same strength and ability as standing in the Messian wastes would.

The latest batch of his 'home brew' was just finished and he was meticulously pouring it into vials for his home made injector. He found the common needles most heretics used to be far to insufficient and honestly not capable of holding nearly enough for what he needed. But this enlarged hypospray was capable of giving him one or two doses simotaniously. Which some days was just what he needed. As each vial was filled he watched to make sure not a drop was being spilt, or that one vial held less than the others. When he was finished he had a half dozen of the metal vials filled and was securing two of them into his injector when the ship Thudded against something with such force that one of the vials rolled off the table and landed on the floor. A second thus cause several vials to shatter

Chelkar could only watch in Horror as several contents spilt onto the floor and With a throaty roar of rage he picked up his Rifle and slug his chainsword over his back And burst through his door setting the rifle to overcharge and flipping the lock to burst fire he set off down the hallways to find someone, anyone who was responsible for the loss of his precious substance. It wasn't until he left the safet of his room that he realized the collision alarm was blaring loudly throughout the ship. He must have been ignoring it completely while he was working. Not all too surprising he supposed.

The threat and meaning behind the alarm cut through the rage that had built itself up in his mind. He focused on the voices around him. From the garble he caught from the crew and the mutants beasts calling themselves crew were yelling and rushing towards airlocks and boarding entries and breached hull points where the enemy ship was open to their own. And all of them were armed. Shouts of 'Imperial scum' and other such insults flew through the air. Chelkar quickly dismissed the damaged vials and lost ingredients.... for now and ran with all speed towards the sound of gunshots and the clash of blades. When he was near those sounds instead of running head first towards the enemy like a fool headfirst he stopped long enough to pull out his injector and hold it to the right side of his neck and pulled the first trigger. A large dose(for other people) of the highly toxic and deadly substance flooded into his veins and he sucked in a deep breath through the resperator as he felt the familiar and comfortable surge of strength and endurance. It might as well have been water or a small dose of slaught for all the health effects it had on him and he put away the injector safely into a pocket and rechecked his weapon.

Snapping a power pack into the rifle and hearing it soflty hum to life was made even more sweeter of a sound after the injection. He took a quick moment to look around and gauge his location. This seemed like the Fighter bays. He made sure to stay behind the herd of ignorant heretics as some of them charge pointlessly and futily towards the foe. He stayed near the back and quickly climbed some of the ladders and catwalks to gain sight over the ridiculous sea of bodies and heads.

Azus Dracates
As the heretics ran forth to prepare to do battle with the Imperium they easily found access to the damaged ship paying little mind to the astartes behind them. They ran with blood lust driving them their howls echoing into the ship as they reached a larger thoroughfare and soon came upon a T-intersection. Heedless of any danger they charged forth sensing their enemy nearer, as they reached the intersection and prepared to split a hail of fire impacted them from the right. The forward most members were cut down in a hail of lasfire as moment later the roar of an autocannon was heard and it's shells tore apart anything in their path. Dozens fell to this onslaught and dozens more died as a ball of searing hot plasma exploded amongst their tightly packed numbers searing flesh from bones. The cultists at the front wavered but were trampled by those behind them and as they tried to charge the source of the fire grenades landed in their midst detonating after a short delay and killing more as those still at the front were cut down by further lasfire. In mere moments the charge was broken by disciplined and fearsome fire as the remainder fled in full retreat back the way they came towards Azus Dracates.

From the direction the fire came from voices could now be heard, speaking in a short clipped battle cant indecipherable to anyone who did not know it. It was clear that it was largely coming from a single voice who was issuing orders with practiced precision. Feet could now be heard advancing on the metal deck, heavy footfalls that rang out clearly indicating bodies of some weight. These were more than mere ratings, armed well, heavily armored, disciplined, fearless, Azus Dracates had succeeded in encountering Naval Storm Troopers, battle hardened veterans of highly lethal space warfare.

Lilian Kesper
As she proceeded through the narrow tunnel the ship grew increasingly dark about her and a gentle hissing could be heard somewhere in the distance. The lumen globes in this part of the ship were naturally poorly maintained and the wreck had only made it worse now but such a route was likely undefended just as it was rarely frequented. Few beings save for mutants or other undesirables would exist in such a place within an Imperium cruiser. Lilian Kesper made decent progress into the vessel but there had yet to be any easy routes out of her tunnel as it lead further into the ship.

From above it struck, whereas the tunnel had stayed narrow, barely wide enough the altered Adeptus Sororitas to move through the shadows above had lengthened and from one, darkness on darkness two blades suddenly came to life. Flashing out like lightning they struck the helmet of Lilian Kesper to each side, one merely glancing away while the other struck slicing a line through the armored helm and cutting a furrow along her skull. The assassin flipped down from her perch, her stealth now revealed and took a momentary step back. Such a blow as she had just delivered was often sufficient to remove any threat but this one stood tall yet. She stood lightly preparing for the attack of the titan before her.

The attack had been unexpected, but Lilian had been alive far to long to let something like this attack from the darkness hurt her. She stumbled away feeling the blood drip down inside her helmet down her face and a sneer came across her lips. Turning she breathed heavily intot he chaos warped Sororitas armor and her own power sword slid free coming to life in her hands. She growled heavily and rolled her neck a audible popping echoing down the hallway they were in. The lenses on her helmet came to life with a dark purple and seemed to almost glow brightly in the darkness giving everything a eerie hue.

With two heavy steps forward her blade slashed through the air leaving a glowing trail as it moved, she felt the blade in her hands ache for for the taste of the assassin’s blood. Lilian was true with her strike the blade seeming to move even as the assassin tried to dance away catching the death cult at the ashoulder and slashing down across the chest to the bottom of the ribs. There was a sizzling left behind and smoke rose from the power sword where the blood that splattered upon it was burned away. A deep furrow from the blade on the assassin’s chest was left before as Lilian stood there staring at her waiting to see what happened next.

Azus Dracates silently scoffed at the heretics fleeing from the onslaught of fire. Imperial Naval Stormtroopers, well equipped, well trained men, certainly, but they were simply mortals. He knew these Stormtroopers and their tactics, both from the sounds of their weapons, and his own personal knowledge of their own Tactica Imperialis, the way they would organize this formation was simple in his mind, plasma first, autocannon next, flanking and supporting each other as they moved up, spaced out to prevent a well placed grenade from wiping the whole team in one lucky blast. Smart, against heretics and common rabble. So he had a simple plan, but one that these Stormtroopers that, veterans that they were indeed were, would not be ready for. After all, they were on a hunting pattern now, drive the routed boarders off the ship and, if the orders permitted, strike into the enemy ship and make them pay. He would suspect this was not the case, sticking to known routes, which made this ambush all the more likely to work, as he settled into a shadowed piece of debris at a corner, resting the autocannon to train it on the direction the stormtroopers would have to be coming from, and waited, they would come of their own time, and he would be ready for them.

Sure enough, the veterans turned the corner, the plasma cannon carrying trooper had an attending stormtrooper bearing his own hellgun. Outside these two, the remaining three had another hellgun and two hotshot lasguns. Nothing he was concerned about, and they were oblivious to his hidden position. Good, good, he decided, training the cannon on the plasma cannon and attending trooper, and squeezed the trigger, the autocannon barking out in its very distinct noise, rounds barreling down the corridor, and the two men had not a chance to react before the cannon rounds slammed into them, literally blowing them down, both men scythed down like chaff during the harvest, falling and disabling his greatest concern, the plasma cannon was by far their most dangerous weapon, if one ignored their training and other wargear, but this was a good start, as the men pooled in their own drained life blood, he swung the autocannon to bear again, keeping still in cover and readying himself to continue the battle, or worse case scenario, receive the enemies fire, if they got off some rounds before falling to his cannon. First blood was his, and he would see final blood be his as well, by whatever means he had at hand.

Cremutus and Chelkar

Striding through the routes to the heaviest fighting were easy to find marked by the throngs of swarming cultists and heretic soldiers surging forward to meet the enemy and bring glory to themselves and their god. Naturally the largest and most key battlegrounds for the masses were areas in which large numbers could come to bear with each other. primary passages turned into killing grounds as both sides rushed to defend or take them from each other key intersections rapidly being choked with bodies. The largest battleground which had managed to pull hundreds from both sides was where two major cargo holds had met and torn open almost all passages and rooms near them. This resulted in an open killing field surrounded by a menagerie of destruction.

Standing high above the fools who rushed straight into the jaws of death Chelkar could see the titan of war enter the battlefield from the rear of the hold just as the forces of chaos launched another assault on the Imperium forces on the other side of the hold. Naval ratings and armsmen let loose with everything at their disposal cut down those who rushed upon them but took fierce losses of their own as those who thought to do so took cover near bodies or rubble and fired on the defending Imperial forces. Even from where they were, Chelkar nearly 100 meters away and Cremutus half again that much could tell the assault was doomed to fail as it was now and would take the intervention of the chaos gods themselves or at the very least one of their champions to turn the tide here.

At the center of the Imperial defence was a ruined arvus lighter manned by at least a platoon of armsmen with lsrifles, autoguns, and shotguns with a single heavy stubber inflicting grievous losses on the assaulting forces. This hard point must be broke for the forces of Chaos to advance and while many heretical soldiers recognize this the armsmen are too well dug in for them to be easily displaced and the attacks on them directly only cause the body count about the position to rise.

Cremutus took in the battlefield with a practiced eye, Heretic fought Imperial navy and the fighting was close. Cremutus knew that his intervention would turn the tide of the battle, Quickly survaying the area for a rocket launcher and seeing none he proceeded to move quickly from cover to cover, attempting to keep a smaller profile and gain some sort of advantage. Finding an acceptable amount of cover he crouched down at an adequate range of 100 meters, he sent off a rapid fire burst of bolt shells at the wretch manning the heavy stubber, as well as a few of his neighbors.

Tzeentch was not with him, his first 4 bolts did nothing but pepper the Arvus lander with new holes. One however did penetrate and explode against the Rattings armor, from which he was unscathed. Cursing the fool he was, Cremutus tongued the control for the auto senses to assist his aiming and quickly adapted the Mind Inpulse Unit's targeting matrix to cooperate. Taking aim for a half second he fired one bolt, blessed by the changer of ways. The bolt passed between the dog's eyes and exploded a fraction of a second later, peppering his compatriots with specks of brain matter and skull fragments.

Cremutus remainded Kneeling behind his cover. With the souls of all the men he had murdered attempting to escape from the prision of his Combi Melta, Cremutus took on a frightening aspect of death, Death for the Corpse God. Death for the False Emperor blind followers. DEATH FOR ALL THOSE WHO APPOSE HIM.

Chelkar steadied his aim against the rail of the catwalk and took the extra half second to secure it firmly into his soldier and ensure that it was snug and not liable to move in any direction. The extra few seconds it took to line up your shots and aim properly was worth all the wild firing in the world and few of the crazed heretics down below seemed aware of that fact. Just another reason to pity those who would dull their senses for... whatever the hell it was they traded for.

He inhaled slightly and quickly fired off a burst of shots. Three bright crimson beams split through the air as it cracked and ionized. The first of these beams landed square into the chest, over the heart of the Imperial manning the stubber turret and he fell onto onto his back, dead long before he hit the ground. The second beam flashed out and caught the man to his right in the leg. Cauterizing the flesh around major artery and causing it's walls to dissolve and bleed out internally. As he collapsed into a quickly dying heap the third shot rang out above his head and scorched the metal and paint of the lander.

He swore as the third shot missed and no sooner had it left the barrel had he picked his rifle up and ran across the catwalk to a slightly closer location and hopefully one where the men near those who were just slain would not look.

Lilian Kesper

She tried to dodge away, she was fast for a human but what she now fought could barely be considered human anymore. Failing to get away fast enough from Lilian Kesper the blade struck her viciously leaving a deep furrow in her chest and slicing through ribs. The death cultist was almost dead from a single blow of that sword, almost. Death was her life, it was everything she was and would ever be and so she attempted to inflict that which she was upon the power armored warrior in front of her. Driving both blades into the chest of her opponent but encountered her thick armor and were turned aside barely grazing her. More prepared for the inhuman speed of her foe this time the death cultist darted away as soon as her blades struck true leaping away down the narrow path bringing her blades to a defensive position.

Azus Dracates

Taken off guard as two of their members fell in a hail of autocannon fire it took a fraction of a second for the stormtroopers to react instantly seeking cover and to find the target. Locating the general location of the target had become easy now with autocannon having revealed his position. Turning two hot shot lasguns and a hellgun against the target that had revealed itself they fired on Azus Dracates. All three weapons barked off a single shot but even with their preysense goggles the deceptive nature of the cameleoline cloak threw off their aim sending all three shots wide doing nothing but providing a momentarily flash in the darkened corridor. From around the corner heavy booted feet could be heard running but they did not make the foolish mistake of turning the corner into a potential kill zone. Instead battle cant could be heard echoing out.

Cremutus and Chelkar

The booming sound of the bolter as it struck the armored plates drew the attention of many in the area as such weapon far outclassed anything else present at the moment. One man fell off manning the heavy stubber as a bolt round struck him in the head and blew it away. From above lasfire struck down in the remaining men defending from the damaged Arvus lighter. Two men take hits as Chelkar's shots land home and while all other available eyes turn on the large warrior with his bolter these two look up, searching the cat walk for their target. Spotting him even as he moves both men sight in their autoguns and release a pair of shots with one striking home against Chelkar's chest.

Only these two seem aware of the warrior on the cat walks above them, many others fire upon the astartes though their fire is uncoordinated and ineffectual. One man in slightly more ornate armor than the others on the back of the Arvus light begins calling out in Low Gothic to those around him, attempting to organize the ratings as well as the armsmen. The ratings hear is orders and many advance up closer near the light staying behind cover but form a rough firing line focused now towards Cremutus while the armsmen throughout the area turn away from general combat to focus their attention upon the largest threat in the area.

After successfully incapacitating the Heavy Stubber on the Arvus Lander Cremutus felt strangely pleased however, with the rallying of the Imperial men into mobs he felt a hint of annoyance creep into his cogitator enhanced brain. Crushing the thought swiftly by turning off his emotional response. These men where just vermin. No matter the size of their horde they where no match for him. He fired into the crowd of Armsmen, loosing 4 bolts and hitting with all, dealing terrible wounds to those he hit. Each bolt was marked with the Tzeentchian symbol, each soul taken dedicated in his name. Each soul taken became one with the many that where tied to Slaughter Spitter.

Cremutus, cloaked in the souls of all he has slain. Took the appearance of the worst nightmares of the human rabble's dreams. Some saw a towering monster of the void. Others vile xenos, a few just saw the Warpsmith, standing there just... standing there.... and shooting his bolter at them, a guarantee of death himself.

The armsmen stood stock still, unmoving, unknowning, and unresponsive many simply fell unconscious. The rattings surprisingly where less effected, moving slowly and incoherently they where in shock. The armsmen's sergeant was least effected but was still unable to come any closer to the Warpsmith. Everyone shook in fear.

Azus Dracates grimly smirked under his helmet as the autocannon rounds shredded two of the Imperial Stormtroopers, causing them to drop the plasma cannon and disabling the primary threat that the weapon posed. Of course, well trained and organized as they were, they were quick to spot the muzzle of the autocannon, having traced the rounds and flashes that the weapon had produced, the flash of each round of hurtling death was not subtle in any real way, shape, or form. Of course, he was unfazed by the few rounds that spattered by pathetically, nowhere near him even with their advanced equipment. He could pick up the pounding of more heavy boots, probably trying to bring the autocannon up to bear next, and more of their battle cant. Smart they didn't turn the corner though, that would have exposed more men to this autocannon. But, what they didn't seem to consider was that he was also carrying a means of striking out that far, and he primed one of his legion fragmentation grenades, and lobbed it into the corridor the footfalls came from, the explosion carrying the roar of of the explosive force and shrapnel that such weapons carried.

While Dracates couldn't be certain on casualties, from the sounds of things, he had disabled or outright killed two of them, from the count of voices dropping. But he knew hew as exposed now, and his cloak would no longer be of use at the moment. But, he was not going to get away from this fight unscathed, as fate would decree. As the stormtroopers fired again, two of them once again had their shots fall wide, the movement of the traitor marine failing to avoid the last round, which seared through his power armor and he could feel the round burn into his left thigh, which made him growl as the stormtroopers fled, turning the corner which, he noted, was opposite of the way they had came into, with two more members than before the autocannon fire had claimed them. If he had the know how, he could have perhaps turned the plasma cannon against them, but it was not of any Legion make, which was not even remotely surprising, so he didn't even consider the weapon. Besides, his autocannon and remaining weapons would suffice, but he would have to think on this situation. He crouched by some rubble, checking his ammo and gear while musing on the situation. They had weapons capable of punching through even his armor, but he knew their tactics, the autocannon would be to the rear, while the remaining men aimed down in a crossfire with the three across the way. He couldn't focus fire one without the other managing to bring most likely lethal weapon fire to bear on him, a most annoying situation, but credit was due to the Tactica Imperialis in this case, it would serve them well.

Dracates had to do something, so he knew precisely what he was going to do. He skulked forward and turned to the autocannon team and the other two there, the three hellguns behind him blocked by the wall. Sure enough, while the autocannon fire and bolt pistol failed to hit him at all, the hellgun was accurate once again, like the previous one. He felt his armor and own stubborn toughness stop one shot, his other arm and chest burned from more rounds punching through his armor, but now, well, now it was his turn to retaliate. He raised his arm, pushing the warp through his arm far higher than he could have normally, and safely, managed to use normally, and roared, the Doombolt roaring from his arm, and the backlash was immediately apparent. His roar was cut off, and he vanished for all intents and purposes, the warp claiming his place in time for a while, although to the senses of the Alpha Legionnaire, such things were painful and maddening, and he would suffer for this transition, even as he schemed still to take advantage of wherever this happened to dump him, when it finally ended.

Lilian grinned a bit a shiver running up her spine as she felt the blades graze across her ribs, with a forward motion her blade came to bear and the blade missed but the power field did not. A hiss sounded and then a burst of flames surrounded the assassin’s head a scream issuing for only a moment before she fell to the ground dead. Lilian stood there a moment in taking in the sweet victory. Even as she did so she could feel the wounds on her chest healing a bit and stop bleeding as well as the one on her head. With a easy movement she sheathed her sword pulled her combat knife free and sawed off the woman’s head and still smoking placed it on a spike on her trophy rack. At this point she began to try and carve the woman up into a makeshift shield, but failed terribly as she butchered the flesh and made the body useless. Standing up with her armor covered in gore and the pile of flesh and guts that no longer resembled a human. Sliding her knife back into it’s sheath she hears a noise.

Turning she sees a hole in the floor from metal punctures and peeks into it. Below she sees soldiers and a officer directing them, a idea pops into her head and she backs up and fires into the punctures with her bolt creating a larger hole that she tosses a krak grenade into. Upon the resulting explosion she looks down and sees the officer is gone and a huge hole in the floor, as the startled soldiers begin to draw their weapons she jumps through the holes and injures her leg as she lands. She finds herself surrounded by a horde of imperial soldiers, with a single movement she pulls the pin on a frag grenade that blows all soldiers near her to pieces leaving her untouched, but as she fights swinging her power sword through the rows and rows of soldiers, then a single shot is fired and her head jerks and a hole can be seen burnt right through her visor blood pours from the hole and she drops on the floor with a thud. A single storm trooper walks through the rows of men surprised that his shot had done so well.

Chelkar Ran and dodged as many of the incoming shots as he could. Those shots that missed ricocheted and bounced off the metal supports around him and one even caught him full in the chest and forced him to half stagger into the railing And grunt in annoyance and pain. At least his armour absorbed the Entirety of the blow. This time anyway. He was not keen to push that luck further.

The rounds seemed to stop as his attackers attentions became pre-occupied with one of the Traitor marines firing wildly into their ranks. He himself ignored this man and focused on capitalizing on this opportunity. Quickly resting his lasgun on the railing and pulling the stock into his sholdier he aimed as quickly as he could and thumbed the switch to full auto before opening a hail of lasbolts down at the newly formed mobs beneath him. It seemed someone was trying to organize the Imperial defence. To little avail it seemed but if not delt with it could quickly become an annoyance.

He focused this first barrage on the armsman, particularly the ones that just fired at him. They seemed to focused and cowed by the sight of the traitor marine that they did not even respond as he cut down no less than seven of them. Each of them gargling in pain or simply thudding to the ground dead.

Checking his powerpack supply quickly he realized that he was soon going to be running dry and forced onto his last clip if this kept up. But these bastards had thicker armour than he liked and it couldn't be helped for now. He was ready to jump back and run to a new loaction in the catwalk when... nothing happened. Even after killing seven of them as easily as cutting down wheat they still seemed focused on targets other than him.

He didn;t even bother to shrug, he simply aimed and re-targeted the same group of armsmen and opened fire a second time. Ten more lasbolts split the air but his aim was far worse this time. Only three died and the two that were wounded were barely so. Swearing under his breath, which through the rough grill of the resperator sounded like a low rasping growl of incoherent nonsense. He swore yet again when he checked his power pack and noticed he was nearly dry. 14 shots left. Switching the pack off overcharge and back to normal strength he was going to have to pick his targets more carefully.

Cremutus took aim once more, taking out a handful of the ratings in the horde the sergeant was attempting to rally. With four more bolts fired he had less than half of the magazine left in his bolter. He knew he needed to take out more of these men quickly before they became a threat again. He leaned forward slightly and prepared his leg servos to stand at a moments notice in case these imperial vermin decided that they would try to overwhelm him with bodies instead of attempting to shoot him.

Surprisingly the ratings rallied, and fired a volly of las bolts at Cremutus. They still quaked in fear and did not even come close to hitting the rubble he was near, much less wounding the warpsmith. Cremutus Belted out a harsh laugh from his vox grill, startling some of the ratings. He shouted “Your Emperor is rotting on his throne and your prayers will not be answered, I am Cremutus, Astartes of the First Legion. Flee now or die painfully.”

Cremutus Fired his Bolt gun to underlay his point, three more men dropped to the floor unmoving. The Warpsmith had the defense of the ship well in hand at this point. The imperial navy had forgotten how to fight in the last hundred years or so. His brothers of old would be disgusted at what he was forced to fight in this battle.

Quickly surveying the scene around him, He saw that one of the human crew was up in the scaffolding above him, firing bursts of las down into the ratings and armsmen. This man was accounting almost as well as Cremutus himself had. He noted the injector rig, fairly unique and looking rather home made. He decided that he would approach the man after this battle was over.

Callus Brutus made little noise, surprising for a being of his conditions and equipment, but such things were simple as they were. The figure was imposing, and would have been so normally if not for the additional afflictions and properties the traitor marine held within himself. His helmet emitted rasping, harsh breathing that clearly indicated something would be wrong, if this was anything other than a Plague Marine. But it wasn't, so such things were to be expected, considering the gifts of Papa Nurgle that he bore were both welcome and loved. Within his arms he kept a powerful, well trained grip upon his heavy bolter, sweeping to cover the areas in front of him as he advanced, the weapon was loaded and ready to create violence for the worshipers of the False Emperor. He moved at a slow, methodical pace, unhurried in his actions into the ship, after all, he would arrive and spread the taint of Nurgle when he did, one did not rush such things lightly.

The sounds of hellgun fire and autocannons attracted the attention of the Plague Marine, and he lumbered deeper into the ship, the sounds of violence cutting off shortly before his arrival, as he slowly turned the corner, heavy bolter at the ready, to spot the remaining stormtroopers from, while unknown to him, the Alpha Legionnaire's assault and prompt vanishing act afterwords. He could see the evidence, though, the walls scorched and damaged from the missed fire, corpses and abandoned heavy weapon were clear indications of this. But for now, though, now was the time of war, to deliver death upon those that would oppose and ruin Papa Nurgle and all his children in the universe, and in this case, the corpse god worshippers would indeed feel his wrath this day.
