Cassandra not feeling Valken beside her looked to where he would have been and saw him gone. She looked about with her eyes but saw him crawling into his plane of existence right before he vanished. She sighed and only hoped he would return. They are fighting demons here having him on their side might give them an advantage. Seeing as he could hear a pin drop from thirty leagues away. She then looked to see the elves moving off and smirked. If only her mother saw her now, she would be furious with her. Mother was loyal to her drow people unlike Cassandra who wanted a life outside of drow society. She proceeded to move to catch up placing a hand upon the shoulder of Kyoto as she walked by. "Don't eye the elves too much or they will think you a threat... or worse have interests in them of another nature." She said rather jokingly to him.

Each step she took felt heavier and heavier as her mind constantly raced for answers of her own. What purpose does this tome even have? Why was she meant to hold it? Why her:? There were soo many others who would be more deserving of something sooo important. Like the Queen or Ishmael... I mean he is a warrior of god,..."What if thats why he was sent to the city?..."
"Who mi lady?" Rudivar asked her. She looked to him and then back to the front as she moved ever closer back to the path towards the elven city. "Ishmael,... what if he was put their by the church to not protect the city?..but to protect me?" She said and looked back at him. "What makes me so special?... what am I a part of?" She asked and Rudivar sighed and looked forward putting a hand on her right shoulder and his left hand on her left as he helped her move forward without stopping. "Emeraude will explain everything..." He answered her and she went wide eyed and was a little angry. "What do you mean the Queen would explain?... She knew?!... You knew?!" She then caught her self before she exploded. Her free hand touching the side of her head. She wanted to scream, she wanted to find a safe small place to hide and just scream into a soft pillow.

Rudivar continued to lead her out the pikeman following in behind as the stepped onto the path cutting out of the forest. From here on out they would take a right and head west back to the elven city. The pikeman positioned them selves outside and surrounding the others. Her would protect Lady Nova from here. The pikeman had Cassandra, Kyalia, and Kyoto boxed in so they could protect them if incase the imp came back with a friend. Rudivar began to wonder a few things of his own. He was told nothing specific about Nova, only that she was important and must be protected. The Queen said this to him and he feared Eliphas would send his best to break her and she was fragile at this point body and mind. What have the elves gotten themselves into.

Kyoto smiled but as he watched the pink haired one lose her shit he looked to Cassandra losing what calm he gained from her words. "Save your jokes for her,... she might need the lightening up more then I do." He said. He then looked away and behind him at Jameson and Fenn... what the hell are you two planning. He did not like this one bit. He felt he had gotten in way too much over his head. What in blazing hell was going down in this god forsaken country. It was exciting at first and.... well it still if exciting and more some now as the shit constantly seems to rise. He then looked back to Nova and he began wondering under the same lines as her. Why off all places did he go west? Why not east or north from his home country? Was he meant to be here? was he meant to protect this Nova? were they all suppose to? Why else would he be here? But why him? The others were actually from this country? Why would he be sent here? Unless this Eliphas character was planning on a bigger picture? And why shouldn't he? This world is huge why would he stop at the country of Kurn? He shook his head and moved to join Rudivar and Nova. He looked to Nova as soon as he got close enough. "Hey chill out,... Nova was it?... Look calm down you don't do anyone any good by losing your shit right now. Plus you make yourself a easy target for those mind games and shit demons love to do." He said.
Alduin sighed as his boredum began to peak its highest as he watched the prisoners move off. What would Eliphas think if he just ate one...."I know what your thinking....." He heard a voice and looked to it and saw a Glabrezu. He was huger then most and had decorative armor. He knew who it was too. The demon assigned as one of the generals. "Nice to see you again Resuirade." He said to the demon and he nodded in response. "Sadly we can't eat them... yet. I mean let's be honest with ourselves. Eliphas said these low lifes will serve us to the end right? That means our appetites as well." Resuirade laughed outright and then looked to Alduin.

"Who are we joking... would you really want one of those stinking pile of shits in your belly?" He asked and Alduin looked down on the humans and smirked. the demon was right, Humans were the lowest of the food chain out here. So much that they were even a danger to themselves. What other animal wars over another for greedy purposes. Most animals kill one another for the right to mate or for land. Humans they will rip each others throats out for a shine rock. How pathetic. He often wondered how such foolish beings made it out this far in the world. "These humans were meant to serve us... look how weak they are." Alduin gurgled up some saliva and spat down drenching one poor human with it. This made a lot of demons laugh as well as his company. "Any news of our new assignment?"

Jameson prepped his things as he exited the glade. The witch had taken quite an interest in its magic, Jameson lifted its effects from her so she could freely observe it. He smiled at the thought. This was the first time someone had identified it properly, this witch had extremely high potential, The white mage would have doted over this one. He began is relaxed stroll to the gates of the elven city. Before long he was within view of the party who had gone ahead of him. He immediately noticed Novas state of urgency. He shook his head, it was not not good. She would be in need of counseling before unlocking the powers of the Tomb. Jameson prepared himself for the worst and began to catch up with the group.

Cassandra found her self impressed by Kyoto's reaction. He was smiling for a second but as he saw Nova he decided her sanity was more important. She simply crossed her arms and watched as Kyoto moved in to try and lighten her mood some. She sighed and looked away feeling rather powerless, there was nothing she could do for Nova that Kyoto wasn't already doing. She took a look at Kyalia and began to wonder how happy the woman was for returning to her home city. Everyone here had a home worth coming back to but her. Her home was a big hole in the ground with leaders whose heads were so stuck up their asses that the lumps in their throats were their bloody noses. Good ridence to her brothers and sisters who are likely better off without her anyways. 'Oh damn it now I am getting pissed off' she thought.
Eliphas watched from a window as the many humans poured into the dungeons of his cold snowed over fortress. He then began wondering if certain ones were worth the skin they were so tightly clinging to. He then looked to a Succubus servant of his. "You go get Barghest, I have a task for him he would surely enjoy." He smiled as he began to rub a emerald ebony ring dotted with Amethysts. He looked down to it and it reminded him of her. He looked to the wall on his write decorated to its finest with blood red silk and two bone pedestals. In its middle laid a mirror. He stepped closer to the large mirror which stood 10 ft tall and 5 ft in width. He touched its glass reflective surface and suddenly like ripples in the water it began to alter.

The mirror began to show him a dark blackness and a woman, not just any woman but thee woman. The Succubus Queen herself Alceone. He bowed to her his black cape hitting the hard floor. "Eliphas, what is it?...." She asked him. He turned his gaze to a bubbling mess on his left towards his balcony and she looked in its direction. "He failed?...." He looked then to her and rose to his feet. "Yes and No Mi'lady." He said.
She rose a brow as she looked back to him. "Failed to retrieve the tomb from the glade, but did not fail to find it." He said. She waved her long nailed hands at him. "Quit with that just tell me the situation,..."

"The elf known as Nova has it..." He said. She frowned at that. "She does, does she,.... You know what she is capable do you?" He nodded his hand going to a old scar about his right side."I am reminded of it each time the cold wind that brushes against it. "

Nova sneezed as Kyoto came up and began to speak with her as he attempted to calm. Funny thing is that it worked. He was right after all, she would be an easy target at her state and plus she did not want to slow anyone down. She had to smile and she bowed her head towards Kyoto, "Thank you, I guess it was all hard to take in..." She said but stopped talking as she saw two odd beings beside horses and her city's Ent guardians in front of the gate. "Who are those guys?" She asked causing Ruhdivar to look from her and he narrowed his eyes." I am not sure." He said. "Kyoto stay with Nova, I'm going to go check."

He motioned for his four Pikeman to follow him as he ran over to Xuhkaxur and his partner. "What business do you have with our fair city, speak quickly. Your timing couldn't be any worse." He said the Pikeman taking key positions around them and lowering their blades. Ruhdivar's own hand rested upon is silver long blade.

"My name is Xukhezur. Me and and my assistant, Lu'Vayla, would be interested in rendering service in the battle to come, as a precursor to mutually beneficial relations between our people and yours. We have other concerns as well, that are more sensitive and complicated, and best left until after, when they can be efficiently and discreetly addressed," Xukhezur replied honestly, as both nodded courteously to Nova and any others that gave them more than a passing glance. "We will submit ourselves to the necessary security protocols required to gain us an audience with those who possess the proper authority."

As Kyoto walked past the two strangers he simply nodded to them and stopped to observe them. They were odd people, none like he ever seen before."Well your going to have to get in line if you got important matters for the elf queen,.. Cause our little problem probably out weighs what ever problem you have." He said. He then proceeded to move beside Nova and he even eyed the ents as he passed by. They were huge and formidable beings. He did not recall if he ever seen any in his home country. He decided to make conversation with one while he waited for the gates to reopen. "So have any of your kin ever made it for east before?" He asked one of them. "I am just curious if perhaps there were any of your kind in that direction."

Frfostwing looks around, not really caring about what happens, but he felt a strange sense of danger. It was his instinct from guarding a powerful man for twenty five years, but he shrugs and ignores it. This was a city of elves, they no doubt had wards against danger.

But there was a frightening force watching them now. The bone claw was veiwing them from where the imp was before. He smiled as they entered the city, and leaps from the tree and continues to enjoy his snack behind a stone. After wandering a while a group of bandits come from the bushes of the trail, and look at him. They were not sure what to do, they had never seen this before. The bone claw chuckles, and charges at the closest one. It easily kills him by forcing it's claws through his skull. One of them tries to swing at him, but the blade is blocked by his claws, and the man is eviscerated with the bone claw's other hand. The last one shoots an arrow at the fiend, but it dodges with a strife to the side, and extends his right claws the whole fifteen feet between them, stabbing him through the chest. His claws slowly go back into his hands, and he continues to the city.

Kyalia walked with the group, extremely excited. She might be able to return to her homelands for good! Of course it wouldn't do her any good if they lose this war but just the thought made her almost giddy. She wondered how long they would get to stay there before they had to move on. She would like to be able to visit her family and just be among her kind for awhile if she was not allowed to return. It might help sustain her for the rest of her time in exile. She did not do well away from her people, she wasn't sure any elf did. Or any species really, she knows Fenn still mourns for her lost coven and her own estrangement from her people even if Fenn doesn't show it really.

Kyalia took a deep breath as she walked threw the gates, looking around. She didn't care about the two strangers, she figured that someone else would notice if they weren't friendly and therefore she didn't care at this moment. She looked around and smiled slightly, happy to be home at last. She turned in a full circle before she saw her family, standing and gawking at the newcomers while trying to be helpful.
"Kyalia!" Her older brother smiled and she laughed. He was probably the only one who recognized, other than her parents, and he looked slightly dumbfounded. Her parents on the other hand did not look nearly as happy as him. In fact they looked downright furious, which she supposed they had some right. Her exile was of her own doing, no matter how much she regretted it.
"Why are you back?" Her father asked her as she approached them and she flinched at his tone. No matter what she has done she was still his daughter, and she still hated disappointing him.
"When the Demons attacked the Human settlement of Lithium the council had sent a group of Witch Hunters. They were no match for the demons, none of us were prepared for it so we cut our losses and retreated. This was the nearest and safest place for the humans so the Witch Hunters brought us here. I heard chatter of the charter sent out by the Council so I decided to investigate myself. If anything I thought they might need the extra fighter." Kyalia explained and her mother's gazed softened.
"How long are you here?" Her mother asked and Kyalia shrugged as she did now know the answer.
"The Queen has requested to see me but I do not know when that will be and I do not know if she will continue my exile and even if she does not I have to help fight in this war. Otherwise we will all be doomed." Kyalia said and her mother nodded.
"Well until then you shall come visit us. I always make meals one portion size to big." Her mother declared and Kyalia smiled. She missed having a home and a family to come back to, more than she could say.
Fenn stopped just before they reached the doors.
"I am not welcome there." Fenn said, looking at the city. She did not say it to anybody in particular but it was true all the same. If anything she would make things worse with her words. She had so many of them floating around in her head but they came out always in the wrong way.
"I was not always a white witch. I was born Black with Dark magic in my head but I didn't accept this. After my coven was killed I tried my hand at white Magic but I didn't particularly like that either, even though I call myself a white witch and still use it's practices for my magic. But truly I am an elementalist, or a floater. I have never felt magic like that in the Glade, silver magic but it felt more natural that anything magic I have had the honor of trying to break my way out off. So, Jameson, I was wondering if there was anyway you could teach me Silver Magic?" Fenn asked the man, looking at him. She didn't want to go there and mess everything up but she couldn't very well stay out here and she couldn't very well leave as she was determined to stick with this and help humanity. She wasn't a runner, she was a fighter and she needed to know the best way for her to fight and she thought it might be learning what Jameson could teach her.

Valken was floating in a void of darkness, he was no-where but still present at the same time. Here, he could simply have peace and quiet without the distractions like the heartbeats of near by living things, the pull and push of other people's auras, or the sound of breathing lungs and noisy footsteps. Here, he could meditate and time did not matter.
After what seemed like a while, Valken's ears became better and it seemed as though he would be able to function again. So he simply found where he hid his still open portal ring and came out about 100 yards away from where the main group was. He didn't mind or care and truthfully he was hardly in a rush to get to them. As he walked slowly, he started to wonder what he was to these group of people and much like his whole childhood he returned to the question of whether he even belonged to them. They purposely tested his rage and talked endlessly about things that had little to no value to him. He supposed in a way, there was barely any thing he could relate to them other than primal needs like food, sleep and reproduction.

Eliphas while he waited for Barghest to pop up decided he was going to move the game up a bit. Nova would likely be headed to the elven city and they could send a army to the elven city only to have it whipped out. The elves were harder to fight then other opponents. Humans were weak and easy to cower so they were easy prey. He had to come up with something and decided first things off to have a spy go and check out things. At first it was hard to think of what he should send but then it hit him. He was very powerful in many ways. What he would do is a bit of illusion magic. He would project himself close by to the city, the dangerous part is his illusions were not like most. They could feel real and do damage still almost like the real thing. So he moved over and sat in his chair and then closed his eyes. Alceone watched him with a smirk as she watched a shadow like essence moved from his body to form something that showed his figure perfectly. The illusion then began its steps out from the balcony and simply vanished into the air and suddenly reappeared 100 yards from the city. Oblivious at first to Valken and then suddenly he saw him. The weak pathetic bat like thing, it was a shadow of it's true glory. Weak to the bone and the only thing it had that proved a threat was the talons. Then it hit him, the imp told him of a creature that walked away and he smirked under the visage of his dark helmet. His blood red cape flowing through the wind as flames burned from the sockets of his helmet. "How can a mere demon gather himself with weak mortals and peace loving fools like the elves?... or perhaps you are here thinking that exact thing. Why should a demon such as your self be concerned with the survival of humans and weak pathetic creatures. That drow elf that my little spy told me about, he found you sniffing her sent and intoxicated with it." He smiled devilishly at him and laughed. Suddenly one of the trees came life nearby from the noise.

The tree was a ent and it took its steps closer and closer to find out what was going on. When it eyed the little meeting of Valken and Eliphas it saw two evil beings, well two beings it thought was evil. The one in the heavy metallic armor with flames spewing from its cracks and a red cape, it was most certainly evil. It's job was to defend this area from evil and so it came in rushing at Eliphas. Eliphas looked over and moved its dark gauntlet hand towards it and suddenly the large ent stopped in its tracks held in a telekinetic grab. He then looked back at Valken and from the palm of the same hand aimed at the ent fired a massive ball of flame which exploded igniting the creature. "How good do you think she would smell if I burned her alive?... Oh no that would not do at all would it?... you vampire like demons are most laughable. You can be so strong but still need the passion of feeding and drinking on the bodies of the living. How could you stomach the filth that radiates inside them?" He said all this while the ent was being burned alive screaming. Finally Eliphas just squeezed his hand and a force crushed the ent inwards and Eliphas tossed the thing aside letting the forest begin to burn.

"Bathe your eyes in perfection flying rodent, for it is this that will test the survival of everything that doesn't accept my will. Something as weak as you has not that place. All things flesh will be feed to my armies." He said and he looked in the direct of where the elven city would be. "I am curious as to long it would take for these elves to destroy this form. Even this illusion is only a fraction of what I truly am." He took one final glance at Valken and smiled. "Before I go tell me the name of your mother? I would very much like to rip out her spine." He said and then moved in the direction of the elven city. He knew his illusion wouldn't last and would likely fall easy prey to the elven blades and arrows. He just wanted to stir up some chaos. Especially the pink haired elf's. He kept vanishing into the wind and reappearing ever closer.......
As the gates began to open she saw Kyoto go over to converse with one of the Ents and it made her chuckle a little. He eased off of Nova pretty quick. She then moved off to join Nova and walked with her inside the grande city. She saw that things hit well with Kyalia and folks and she sweared she could feel the dagger sensation of eyes poking her from the elves.' A drow elf being granted free passage? What is the Queen thinking?' She wondered if that's what went through their minds. She then looked to Nova. "Hey your a local show me around some." She said.

-------------

Ishmael sat in the quarters that were set up for him. It was different from the refugee place but was still amazing. The room was said to be provided to him and those he was with. Meaning Kyalia and all of the others to. The elves wanted them kept together so it would be easier to keep an eye on them. That or so they would have to send one messenger when the Queen called for them. What the Queen told him though about Eliphas was really.... Tough to take in. Nova,... Was the one who originally banished him. Was that why Lithium was chosen first to be raised to the ground?
Aries moved to the likes of Alduin and the Glabrezu. "The pink haired elf isn't among the dead or survivors,.... She escaped us. Alduin go and scout out the area. Be careful if your search brings you near the elven city. We do not want to touch that, not yet" she said. Alduin was huge so he could cover more ground then others could.

Ruhdivar nodded as he listened on each word that was spoken. "If you wish to help us then you are free to do so if the Queen accepts it. You make take your horses into the stables. Quarters will be provided and council with the Queen will come shortly. You won't be the only one there too, the folk you see behind me will be there too. At that moment Queen Emeraude will give out in detail the information about our enemy that the Seer council were able to dig up. Until then make yourselves comfortable, a messenger will find you when it is time to see the Queen." He explained. He gave them a nod and looked to the Ents. "Let them pass." He said and the Ents parted except one.

The Ent looked down at Kyoto and heard the mans words. "If you must know. No none of my kin, to my knowledge has been far east. Now proceed inside" it said moving off into the forest. Ruhdivar rose a brow at Kyoto and then moved past him to catch up with Nova. "I am putting you in different quarters then your own Mi'lady." Nova looked to him and nodded.

"I want to show Cassandra around first, if that's alright?" Nova said and Ruhdivar shook his head. "Nothing wrong with that." She then proceeded to lead Cassandra around. "Well that place there is the bakery" she pointed with her right hand. She was rather humbled that Cassandra asked her. She felt needed and by a drow no less. She suddenly laughed as she thought what was happening."Gosh, me friends with a Drow elf, the stares we must be receiving." She said. Suddenly a flash happened in her mind and she saw a large demon in the back of her mind. It was huge and around him glass floors and walls. He had dark armor and a red cape. In his hand a large bloodied sword. Suddenly it went away and she came back to reality. She looked around sweat down her face. Ruhdivar saw this and moved to her. "You okay? You look as if you saw a ghost?" He asked

"Demon,... I saw a demon, within my mind." She said. Suddenly her legs felt weak as the book pulsates in her arms. She then suddenly collapsed causing gasps about her. Ruhdivar caught her so her head didn't suffer any injuries.

Hotaru and Ryung ran over to them and crouched. "Is she alright? What happened?" She asked. Ruhdivar simply shrugged. "I don't know.." He said. Hotaru sighed and looked to her father. Then back to Ruhdivar."Let's get her to her room so she can rest on softer ground. Father, can you carry her?" She asked.

Kyoto watched as it walked wondering If it was something he said. He then moved onwards and he could smell the flowers as he stepped into the elven city. Everything was perfect in his eyes as he watched everything play out. He then decided to follow Nova and Cassandra seeing as a tour of the place could go a long way. Then as Nova spoke she stopped and he watched as it looked like she was in the middle of a dream. When she came to she began to sweat as if she had been through a rough one. He tried to catch her but Ruhdivar beat him to it. Then their friend from before come up with her father it would seem. Hotaru was the girls name and figured a proper introduction with pops would be best saved for later.

Xukhezur and Lu'Vayla expressed their gratitude with deep nods, with the latter saying, "Thank you. We look forward to becoming better acquainted with you and yours when the time comes." As everyone was permitted inside the city, their curious glances fell on Cassandra and Nova walking ahead of them, before the pair of imaskari peeled off to lead their horses to the stables, causing them to miss the tall, pink-haired elf's episode. Still dressed in their plain dark gray hooded cloaks and light leathers typical for hunting and riding, worn over their more expensive nightscale attire, and not to mention Xukhezur's protomorphic jump suit, they shed their road dusted leathers once they were within the stables and hung them in the stalls with their horses, and beat the dust out of their cloaks before putting them back on over their shoulders.

Xukhezur stretched some and yawned as they both emerged from the stables a few minutes later, just before Lu'Vayla beckoned him to follow her and the smells coming from the bakery. Both their biological rhythms were offset from those around them, due to the fact they had come from an underground environment on entirely different world. "Good idea," Xukhezur said, "the satisfaction of a little elven bread ought to help us adapt to the cycle of this land."

Valken continued on but then he was stopped by the sight of a large armored demon. At first he staggered in his gait but once he realized that the thing moving towards him was an illusion, he relaxed. He could tell immediately because of a lack of an aura that meant that there was a lack of a 'physical' presence. The look of eliphas could not intimidate him, the only thing he could go on was the voice and that did not phase him.
Valken listened to his banter and smiled, shaking his head. Before he could give a rebuttal, a tree entity emerged and that called valken's attention more than the mirror image of eliphas because it was physically there. Valken felt the illusion drain the tree entity's aura slowly while he spoke some more. Valken became disappointed.
"I would think something as old as you would know that I am not vampire like. Vampires are FIEND-like. We were first, not them. Second of all, I surround myself with food just like any other being would. Third, I was smelling Cassandra, what's it to you? Again as a being that consumes and has needs, an eternal drive to live that's what I do. " he glared at the mention of his mother but it turned into a smile. "Go a head. See what happens." He taunted know that his mother was practically god like and the only reason why she was not interfering while he was.

Valken sat on the ground and felt the eliphas disappear. He was left alone again.

The Illusion of Eliphas made it to one of the eastern sections of the walls. About a mile from the main gate where the group was. He thought the whole thing laughable. White walls with fountains that were enchanted with traps for such as him. He looked up and saw a elf looking down at him from the tower. "Who goes there?!" The elf yelled and Eliphas suddenly vanished and the elf narrowed its eyes and rubbed them. Then as he looked up he saw Eliphas standing right by him. Eliphas drew forth his blade as the elf did so with his. The elf swung his blade to collide it with Eliphas's. The strength of the elf would be of no match for him but suddenly he had to pull away from the man as a large projectile came close to taking him out. A elf had turned the balista around and had fired one at him. He smiled underneath his helmet and turned away from the elf and began running along the walls. It did not take long before he was dodging arrows from the elves. One such silver arrow skidded off his arm and one even found a hole and stuck itself into his right side. Luckily this was only a illusion and no pain was gained upon him. He then began to spot the travelers that had been coming in and from a distance he noticed the pink haired elf and then vanished reappearing before those who tried to help her. "Ha ha ha,... long time no see Valkyrie, your banishment of me is over and soon I will come for you." He said pointing towards her. At that very moment he then spotted Jameson and he grinned. "Oh... Barghest will love to hear that your traveling with these lot.... don't you deny it I can smell it on you. That sent,... the sent of a wolf."

He decided to flex some muscles and wondered how much it would take to get Jameson to transform and came charging at him sword drawn and ready to bring it up over his head to swing it at him.
Cassandra was in the middle of hovering over Nova and aimed to try and help her but then the shadowy illusion of Eliphas appeared and began shouting stuff she did not understand. Valkyrie? Then it turned its eye on Jameson and belted more confusing nonsense and then went on the offensive and charged at him. Cassandra drew her hand crossbow and fired at it. The bolt dug in but the poison had no effect on the illusion.

Nova opened her eyes just enough to seem Eliphas. When she saw him she went wide eyed as she remembered him from the dream. It was so vague though to really tell. She just had a feeling that she knew him. The more she thought of it the more angry she got. She rose up using Ruhdivar as leverage. When she wanted to know how it seemed to know her but she had little memory of him. Ruhdivar stopped her though and shook his head. "Do not worry, the Queen will explain everything." He said. "Let the others deal with it." He said leading her off and away. He nodded to those who helped him get her to safety.

Hotaru turned to face the back of the demon as it launched itself at Jameson. She wanted to help him and help him she would. She swung her staff around as she cast her spell. "A thousand pedals!!!" She yelled ads thousand pedals appeared and flew towards Eliphas's illusion at a enormous speed.
