Kyalia walked with the group, extremely excited. She might be able to return to her homelands for good! Of course it wouldn't do her any good if they lose this war but just the thought made her almost giddy. She wondered how long they would get to stay there before they had to move on. She would like to be able to visit her family and just be among her kind for awhile if she was not allowed to return. It might help sustain her for the rest of her time in exile. She did not do well away from her people, she wasn't sure any elf did. Or any species really, she knows Fenn still mourns for her lost coven and her own estrangement from her people even if Fenn doesn't show it really.
Kyalia took a deep breath as she walked threw the gates, looking around. She didn't care about the two strangers, she figured that someone else would notice if they weren't friendly and therefore she didn't care at this moment. She looked around and smiled slightly, happy to be home at last. She turned in a full circle before she saw her family, standing and gawking at the newcomers while trying to be helpful.
"Kyalia!" Her older brother smiled and she laughed. He was probably the only one who recognized, other than her parents, and he looked slightly dumbfounded. Her parents on the other hand did not look nearly as happy as him. In fact they looked downright furious, which she supposed they had some right. Her exile was of her own doing, no matter how much she regretted it.
"Why are you back?" Her father asked her as she approached them and she flinched at his tone. No matter what she has done she was still his daughter, and she still hated disappointing him.
"When the Demons attacked the Human settlement of Lithium the council had sent a group of Witch Hunters. They were no match for the demons, none of us were prepared for it so we cut our losses and retreated. This was the nearest and safest place for the humans so the Witch Hunters brought us here. I heard chatter of the charter sent out by the Council so I decided to investigate myself. If anything I thought they might need the extra fighter." Kyalia explained and her mother's gazed softened.
"How long are you here?" Her mother asked and Kyalia shrugged as she did now know the answer.
"The Queen has requested to see me but I do not know when that will be and I do not know if she will continue my exile and even if she does not I have to help fight in this war. Otherwise we will all be doomed." Kyalia said and her mother nodded.
"Well until then you shall come visit us. I always make meals one portion size to big." Her mother declared and Kyalia smiled. She missed having a home and a family to come back to, more than she could say.
Fenn stopped just before they reached the doors.
"I am not welcome there." Fenn said, looking at the city. She did not say it to anybody in particular but it was true all the same. If anything she would make things worse with her words. She had so many of them floating around in her head but they came out always in the wrong way.
"I was not always a white witch. I was born Black with Dark magic in my head but I didn't accept this. After my coven was killed I tried my hand at white Magic but I didn't particularly like that either, even though I call myself a white witch and still use it's practices for my magic. But truly I am an elementalist, or a floater. I have never felt magic like that in the Glade, silver magic but it felt more natural that anything magic I have had the honor of trying to break my way out off. So, Jameson, I was wondering if there was anyway you could teach me Silver Magic?" Fenn asked the man, looking at him. She didn't want to go there and mess everything up but she couldn't very well stay out here and she couldn't very well leave as she was determined to stick with this and help humanity. She wasn't a runner, she was a fighter and she needed to know the best way for her to fight and she thought it might be learning what Jameson could teach her.
