I only made a dent? This is impossible.. Tetsuya thought as he retracted his fist. His hand hurt, and he felt tired from the effort of one blow. Something new had awoken in him, something dark. He felt like his entire soul was being doused in shadow. He felt the cold surround him, like ravenous tendrils gripping his heart. The change become violent and he began to feel himself shake. He lost control of his limbs and fell to the ground convulsing. What is happening to me?! He felt as helpless as the day he died, unable to do anything but watch. He gazed at Lorenzo in horror as he twitched and shook. Nothing felt real anymore, his body was completely numb, but he felt something else. Something in the core of his being ignited. Like a fire deep inside him was being stoked. The warmth started to manifest elsewhere, it slowly moved from his core to his extremities, then into even the air around him and with the warmth came the control of his body.
Tetsuya picked himself off the floor slowly at first, testing his strength, and found that he had regained his control, along with something more. He could feel things in the room that weren't him. He felt two things to be precise. He looked towards the direction of the sensation, and realized it was the other two demons in the room. He could sense strange aura's about them, they showed up as colors. Tetsuya had no idea what was happening, and was becoming increasingly frightened by this new experience. Although at the same time, he loved it. Not only did he feel right, he felt strong. Stronger than ever before. He needed to test this, and with that thought. He turned to the dummy and drove his fist into it with renewed vigor.
He had caught her off guard with the thrown knives, but she managed to avoid them hitting her in any critical places. They grazed her exterior as they passed by, making Emi grit her teeth somewhat. Even though she was expecting a follow up attack, she never thought she could feel this kind of pressure. The air all around her seemed to shift and have more weight too it. Upon further realization it was centralized from the man in front of her, Kenji. She knew he was powerful and had witnessed it before, but this anger and rage seemed unbridled. Like he could kill her in an instant, but wanted to play for a while before finishing the job. Emi had felt fear before, mainly over the possibility of losing her beloved forever, but nothing like this. Not true fear.
The tear ducts in her eyes overworked and nervous tears started to flow freely, but even so she knew she couldn't just sit there and take a counter attack. Although it took effort Emi lifted herself to her feet fully, and unsheathed her blade. She charged at Kenji, but immediately before connecting she tumbled to her left trying to dodge an unforeseen attack, causing her to land a few feet from Kenji's right side. She regained her composure, and charged in again, this time going for a misdirection to the right, but instead ran to the left of Kenji, attempting to give her a good angle with the blade she held. She would attempt to play with him this way for a while, to judge his speed and effectiveness in anticipating her movements.
