While I am of the opinion that some characters need nerfing, I do not believe Tirarian is one of those characters.

She has 3ish main skills, speech, alchemy, and marksmanship. In order to use her crossbow, I assume she needs to rather meticulously set it up, like the medieval variant of a modern day sniper, and she has what I'm guessing is a modest skill in close combat with her sword. That sounds fair to me. She's an alchemist, which I'm guessing is her main skill, since she grew up with it. And dealing with criminals may involve some amount of tact.

If you were really desperate to nerf your character, I'd say tone down the alchemy a bit, since Tirarian was thrown out at age 10, and therefore only had a few years with actual, dedicated alchemy training, while the other years were more experimental in nature

I don't really feel like your character needs nerfing. I am not going to namedrop who I felt was overpowered when i stated my opinion, but I can say that your character wasn't one of them.

In my opinion, a gnome alchemist should have an array of gadgets stacked away. If I can throw my two cents in, your character is fine.

Be more specific on what types of arrows you have, and don't say "Deus ex machina" arrows. I'd also recommend a lighter crossbow. If you're using specialized arrows anyways, rate of fire is probably more important than penetration.
Your skills are fine, though. You're allowed to be good at things, just don't use phrases like "The absolute best at so and so" or "never ever misses with a crossbow", because that is 1) kind of extremely broken, and 2) boring from a narrative standpoint.

a) Nice you showed up
b) I wanted to have a crossbow that needed setting up because I wanted a character was deliberate, not being able to extremely quick to react. Deus ex machina arrows pretty much included something I may have forgotten, for instance rope arrows. Its not like batman's bat belt for me to abuse for the point of plot

I agree, my character will have to develop advanced skills in alchemy, not start with them. Lets say she can only make basic potions easily, and to make harder ones requires study and a lot of money to craft

Again, I think your character is fine the way it is now, 9 years of experimenting with alchemy is still quite a bit of time, and if Tirarian is still alive after that much experimenting, chances are she's been doing something right. But yup, if you want to nerf, that sounds like a good plan of action

I'm comfortable with where my Zell is at. No godly abilities or high proficiency in anything. Plenty of room to improve.

It is in my opinion that your character, especially when compared to the rest of the party, is extremely overpowered.

I suggest not having runed blades, not being a master swordsman and not having a repeater crossbow. Not only are those super rare but they are heavy, and your character seems to be a light affair. You should also scrap the immunity to magic deal, just make him highly resistent where applicable, for instance we could all get knocked down by a wave of fire but you stay standing, albiet a bit singed

Everything else seems fine

Do you mind clarifying what parts are over powered?
Let me guess... Too much money, OP skills, too many weapons, Mermet du Vec?

EDIT: Not aimed at you Fated, we posted at the same time.

In my opinion, any character who is a master in more than one thing (That aren't in some way related such as Ice and Water magic) is kind of overpowered. Becoming a master in something takes time, and it's hard for me to swallow that something like a 15 - 20 year old character is a master or even adept at three, five or six things. Being a jack of all trades is one thing, being a master of all trades is rather dull.

This isn't aimed at you Feigling, but is meant in general.

Not only is your character extremely skilled in combat, your character is essentially, for all intents and purposes, untouchable.

He is extremely skilled in dueling, and agile, making him hard to hit, on top of that, he's good at marksmanship as well as close in fighting. He's impossible to pick pocket, for no explanation other than he's awesome at "anti-pickpocketing". Not only does he have powerful magics, he is essentially immune to most if not all magical attacks against him. Also he has a repeating crossbow, and a magical sword. This guy was a monk right...? Where'd he learn all those combat skills?

I don't want to stand on a soapbox, because its not my place, but these are just my opinions.

Removed runes and crossbow, turned resistance to magic to weakness and gave him a talisman to help offset light and dark damage. Better?

EDIT: And agility and marksmanship.

Sounds pretty good now, but I like the idea of his blood giving him resistance as long as it isn't invulnerability to the arcane

Making him a good duellist but weak in group combat makes him rely more on friends, which is always a good weakness to have as it isn't majorly bad but still allows you to have dramatic fights with main villains and win.

Not aimed at you, but flaws are what makes a character. We can all write how talented our peeps are but nobody is perfect, and it feels better to have to work on each others strengths and weaknesses

One cool thing I like, which was present in Dwarves from Dragon Age is that they have a notable resistance to magic, which also means that they cannot use it themselves. And a resilience to magic should also include helping magic such as healing and shielding magic.
