There is Duck and ASTA saying, no, it won't work, and Dark, MrFoxNews, and myself saying yes, it is working and will work.Had it been said earleir before it happened, then Duck would miraculously avoid encountering anything that could mortally wound or destroy his nation. This is, of course, a roleplay, and not a strategy game, Duck. It's the story that counts, and if a nation falls quickly to the Hive, then it falls, and another can be made. The goal is not to survive or conquer, after all, but make a good story, and I think this would make a good one. People fleeing, being taken down, and it won't just be you, it'll be me and after you, the Humans. You can flee or you can try to fight and take it down with you, but I'm going to have my race flee. However, ship entered direct combat, which means that my guys will gain the chance to fight back, or evacuate accordingly.

Also Wilson, you word really isnt credible. You have a long ass history of Godmodding, powerplaying, and meta-gaming.

L'Er haven't entered the station yet. Its not that I dont want to get wrecked and im playing it like its a RTS, it just that I rather not have the creation I worked hard for(Unlike some people who copy and pasta there apps) be ruined within 5 minutes.Because your plans usually involve half of my civilization being wrecked. And there was that time I let you slip past my capital world's defenses completely unnoticed.

You also blocked everything I came to do a few minutes after that. What kind of peace loving and harmonic race puts military checkpoints on their streets? I don't remember Equiis ever needing to be placed under martial law, and yet somehow there it all was, including a great big entry checkpoint with armed guards and a DNA scanner and all.
So I thought "All right, well I'm using one of the agile augmented spies, I'll jump the wall
You goes "How high can they jump?"
"15 feet"
"Well, then the walls 30 feet"

:/

It wasn't so much of a military checkpoint as a thing you walk through and scans you.
And Canterlot may look somewhat like Martial Law, but they are were paranoid, espically after you killed Cadence.

Killed her 8000 light years away when she went with a war fleet, if you go to war ots expected that you might die... I don't think anyone would have felt the need to install checkpoints with military guards and magic scanners over that.

And that's the part where I thought "I'll use this species abilities to jump the wall, that'll work"
"How high can they jump"
"about 15 feet"
"well, then the walls 30 feet"

And then I remember how they were discovered, and the infiltrators released toxins upon death, so your force had mini force fields on call to trap and crush him with. It was literally like they expected the team to arrive at that time and try to sneak in, because everything seemed in place to catch them.

Its annoying that the thwarting of my plan seems to be coming from the worlds oddest proposal for a space station ever, where one part of it requires entirely separate systems as absolutely none of its systems are linked up 0.0

It seems that the only way to prevent yourself from getting invaded and destroyed in this setting is to make your nation completely cut off from the rest of the galaxy.

ASTA, would you be interested in a crises between Ogeria and your guys over the accidental bombardment of a developing colony world or something like that? If not, what kind of situation would you see as a appropriate trouble? Planet claims gone amiss? A hostage crises?

Maybe we can have a diplomatic talk about it.

Just as they were capable of almost anything under the sun and beyond it because they had magic which had no real limits of any kind, which is thankfully not anywhere near as prevalent and over the top as it was in VotS

I was more or less cut off from everyone else.

And duck, you ALWAYS cheat, in some form, as Darkwolf says. You used to have giant-ass planetary shields that block EVERYTHING. Like, half your workforce would have to be doing the most energy-producing thing possible to keep that shield up without fail.

I just make it so that everyone can see it, instead of being the co-GM where I can do whatever I want without complaint.

So can my guys, your point?

Still if darkwolf's being honest than yeah that does sound a bit unfair to everyone else since when it came to my forcefields I figured you'd be able to overload them after enough hits although generating force fields on the fly seems rather wanky.

I should make floating frogs that have obtained the power of the mind, and can create twinkie torpedoes that smash into other ships with acidic creaaaamm.

I've already started on a second app, should my nation fall to those creatures that can commandeer and take over electronic and organic things at will.

Magic was limited, you just happened to have stumbled into a city with some of the most powerful mages.

I don't even have shields, just really thick armor. Mucho energy-efficient, more room for armor and engines and stuff.

Magic was so limited it was in use everywhere and all weaponry was upgraded with magic to make it inexplicably stronger than its non-magic counterparts, even in scenarios where that made no sense at all, and every fleet was able to carry several legions of battle mages. Magic really, really wasn't limited, your entire nation depended on it for a very long time.

The vul'kruun are currently waging a war of absolute extermination against an interstellar civilization of moderate size; this faction ran afoul of the vul'kruun masses when its leaders decided to capture the vul'kruun's only planet, which was Vru (their homeworld), and razed it to the ground. Vul'kruun are more in tune with their primordial primal instincts, and tend to run off of impulses rather than rational thought. Naturally, they saw the aggressive nation as a rival predator, and have since sought its annihilation.

To the vul'kruun, their enemy are nothing more than incomprehensible xenos. They have no idea why this intelligent species assaulted them.

The situation is a more realistic outcome on what would happen if two completely alien factions made contact with one another. Perhaps the Os had something to do with it.

But my guys are sentient balls of flesh. They need powerful psionics to balance that and logically work at all.

However instead of using magic as a amplifier of tech I used tech as a amplifier of magic.
