Weight: 75kg (165lbs)
Height: 185 cm (6'1")
Name: Thomas Agnis (Otherwise known as Thomas Vichal)
Age: Nineteen (19)
Gender:Male
Race: Human
Personality:At first glance, Thomas seems to be an aloof, distant individual who always keeps his cool. Being the silent type, Thomas prefers to not speak, though he generally is not against voicing his opinion or even making conversation mind you. In the few words he uses, Thomas shows to be somewhat educated, not like he truly cares but he avoids being disrespectful, unless he fell to his rather... fiery temper. Indeed, while Thomas seems calm and collected, he's quick to anger and quick to act, too. Sometimes even without thinking.
When it comes to Thomas' view on the title he supposedly own (Conqueror of Magic), he honestly couldn't care less. It's not important at all to him, which is why he never (or very rarely) speaks about it. It'd take a lot of trust from him to merely touch on the subject.
After entering Athalia, Thomas seems to be thoughtful or distracted the majority of time, as if there was something bothering him. The reason is unknown, but whenever he enters this "state of thought", theres a rather... focused, determined look on his eyes.
Background:Before understanding Thomas' history and how it starts, one should know about his family's name and the power it once used to carry. Agnis; a powerful family of pledged mages, wizards and witches with as much political power as actual power. Perhaps power wasn't such a great thing given what ran with it. Arrogance, greed, selfishness. Those three words were the reason of why such powerful family is barely known today, except by those who have enough studies in the story of magic. Now, to tell why the family Agnis held so much power... I will do so by telling a tale, whenever one believes it or not, it's only a choice.
It was said that an artefact known as The Grahmund's Crown withheld extreme power which once belonged to Grahmund, the Mage King; who was said to be the strongest mage to have ever lived, but of course, that was only a rumor. However, the Crown did indeed exist and it was found by a man known as Yggdren Agnis, an amateur mage with little to no potential, at least until he found the crown. Wearing it upon his head, he self-declared himself the Conqueror of Magic and began to rule a large group of mages, creating a monarchy in which his son would take the crown once he passed away. To enforce this, the members of the Agnis family had an ancestral sigil magically placed on their body, normally on the back or their arms. This sigil granted them certain abilities which belongs to the Agnis family, as well as increasing their general affinity and defensive capabilities with magic.
After years, the Agnis family felt apart due to an internal conflict, ending up with Hudolf Agnis destroying the Crown and breaking the power of the family. Time passed and the family was forgotten, until the Crown's pieces was found and brought together by a man known as William Agnis, Thomas' father. He was the only man who knew how to recreate the ancient sigil, but instead of using it, he imbued the very sigil with the Crown, placing both together and applying it to his son. The Crown's power was going to be dorment inside Thomas for a long time, but one day, he could awake it up and it'd be up to him whenever he'd use it for the good or to create another reign of magic.
After that, Thomas' life was a bit... eventful. He lost his father, but that's not going to be mentioned here. In order to get something he truly wanted, he enrolled himself in the Athalia Academy as Thomas Vichal, a young magic student.
Study:He will attend to any class he seems interesting as he has nothing specific to do.
Powers: Rite of the Ancient -This is not an usable ability, but a perpetually active one. Rite of the Ancient is a spell which must be spoken in an ancient language and then written in the body (In Thomas' case, they are inscribed in his back: See ability icon for reference) The words' meaning are vague and mysterious in their nature, but they are the words which prove Thomas' worth as a Conqueror of Magic. They boost his spell-resistance slightly (Making him take reduced damage from every magical source), while allowing him to use his spells. Additionally, the Crown is placed within the seal, however Thomas has no knowledge of this.King's Hand -This ability cloaks either one or both of Thomas' hands in a burning fire (Which does not harm him, at all). Then, he may use it as he seems fit; normally punching or grabbing his foes. Notably, if he does grab someone, he can control the flames around his foes' body; harming them severely.Blaze Guard - A shield of flames surrounds Thomas, blocking incoming physical damage by 25% - those who touch him while the shield is active will also be harmed by the flames. It lasts ten seconds before fading away and can only be cast every three minutes.Essence Shift - The ability to conquer one's spell. If an ally or foe has used a buffing or debuffing spell, Thomas can use this to reverse the situation. For example, stealing a foes' buff and applying it on himself or removing a debuff spell from him and applying it to the caster. It will last the same as the spell shifted by this ability, and Essence Shift can be cast every thirty minutes.Thunder's Might - A thunder vortex is cast upon the battlefield. It will occasionally release beams of lightning towards Thomas' foes, but it will never strike himself or his allies. The beams deal minor damage, but they cause a slow effect on those hit by it. This spells lasts three minutes and can be cast every fifteen minutes.Weaknesses:Thomas is a flexible fighter relying on his magical spells and agility to deal quick damage. His main strength is a fight against a pure caster and ideally, his main weakness would be pure fighter types. Those who are superior in strength and/or agility might be extremely problematic for him, especially if they aren't particularly weak to his spells or if they don't rely on utilizing self-placed buffs to increase their combat effectiveness.
