Rargh! Trying to design a technique which focuses around the use of Vis's trait is difficult. The force of Vis's swing creates the pressure wave in an arc but mixing that with a dial is difficult. I can create the mist around Vis with dials but turning it into a weapon requires constant use of Vis's trait and is thus almost useless in close combat. Creating cloud based techniques that don't use dials would require Vis to swing hard enough to not only compress the air but also make a visible arc of air. Perhaps modifying a sword with a Jet dial would increase the force of the swing enough to achieve this.

Ahhh the downfalls of picking such a style. xD

I love my style and my special new sword, they're just a perfect match for each other.

Creating techniques is annoying but with my sword style, it's not like I have to worry about creating advanced techniques.
Well, for now anyways. xD
Hooray Fox fire Style!

Both styles would be hard to use anyway. The average swordsman wouldn't be capable of replicating any of the techniques made for the sword style unless they were taught them. But developing a technique for the Cloud Sword Style requires the use of clouds in one way or another. I want Cloud Sword Style to focus on both offensive and defensive capabilities. To compare it to Fox fire, yours seems to be an ability that will develop offensively faster than it will with defense. But as I was saying, I could use jet dials to cause the pressure waves sent out by the blades to appear as if they are a moving 'cloud' attack. But that form of technique would focus on attack primarily.

On the other hand, a heat dial mixed with a water dial would produce steam which would provide more development in defense. If I used a milky dial setup, it would focus on increased maneuverability which would slightly benefit both attack and defense. The best of both worlds would require a time skip though. During that time skip my character would probably get a new set of swords forged with one being equipped with a heat and water dial and the other one a jet dial. The forging of the blades is required for the heat and water dials because the blade will be rapidly heated up and cooled down at the same time. As for the jet dial blade, it would have to withstand high pressures created by really quick movement. It would provide me with quite a wide range of abilities to choose from.

During this forging process(which would probably take a few months), Vis would have to train his body to withstand the physical strains that the Jet dial would put on him. He would also be training to improve his swordsmanship and might just move from a two blade fighting style to three blades. Of course, this would have to happen later on in the roleplay. For the time being I will just focus on getting a flame and water dial so as to create mist.

You don't really need to make your style based on your trait. Think of it this way. Zoro, Daz Bones, and Ryuma had this trait and later on, more swordsmen showed the same capabilities. Just treat the trait as a supplementary skill for your melee sword techniques. If you want range sword strikes, like Zoro's Pound Hos, T-bone's Angular Slash, or Kaku's Rankyaku, then focus on developing a technique that allows you to create a compressed blade of air.

As for your trait now, its probably my fault for not wording it better, but it is more similar to the ones I'll be showing you.
At 1:42 to 2:00. Both Zoro and Ryuuma made their slashes travel a greater distance due to their power alone. That's the trait I gave you.

Ah, so we are talking about already visible pressure waves. So, the slashes are already capable of creating visible signs. Anyway, that just plain cancels out the need to have dials so all I would need to do is become strong enough to make the compressed air capable of cutting since it is most likely only capable of doing blunt damage. The jet dials might still exist though. Then it would make Cyclone Blade true to its name. Any way, going to start working on another post.

Should probably hold off until he gives the update, since he said that once everyone posts he'll do an update.

Updates up. Nothing big, just introduced some NPCs. Updates from here on will be more personalized.

By the way, the only reason I'm being this active is because I'm currently on a 3 day weekened. I'll slow down tomorrow onward.

If you have any questions regarding the NPCs, feel free to ask.

Ah, I am on fall break currently so I have plenty of time to just sit here and ponder life. Actually, I've just been sitting here working on techniques for Vis to have in the future. Although, I am sure his bounty might go up after this recent chapter. I intend to have an encounter with Vis's former captain and a 'friendly' chat will happen. One thing is likely to lead to another and Vis might just kill him. Or cripple him. Not sure which path I will go down. I will decide later on. I sure hope somebody will join my crew cause it will be a little awkward if it is just me.

No problem in him confronting his old captain.
It'll give him an opportunity to show people what he's got and at the same time, reveal what his real motives and intentions are as a pirate.

And got my post up on a quick battle against Captain Hareon of the Blood Pact pirates. I will get to work on finding fitting picture for Haeron.

Anyway, that show of power should attract possible recruits.

Instead of a show of power, it'll probably be more like bullying since that guys looks weak and in no way intimidating.

Popov is actually a Captain but he is going solo right now, so you can try and convince him. Cheshire on the other hand, is in Bathory's crew.

Not necessarily. You may use those designs, but you can come up with your own. Look at Law's and Blackbeard's ship. They were definitely not based from your usual ship design.

You could. Emphasis on could. But doesn't definitely mean you will.
You can try and if you're manner of convincing is good enough, then he's all yours.
If you wanna know more about him, feel free to ask.

He only kills when needed.
Regarding his likes, that he doesn't know. He's sort of lost in a spiritual and mental sense.
Remember, your character should not be aware of these facts since they haven't met each other or know of one another.

As for names ships, Morgan has a Caravel-like ship called the Lagiacrus. It has scale-patterned, red sails and its figurehead is shape like a serpentine sea beast. Alice also has a ship. Its somewhat similar in size with the Going Merry. It's color scheme is made up of mostly black and purple and goes by the name Wonderland.

Man, If I played with usual type of character, I'd looooooove to be involved with Bathory and be part of her crew. Hopefully she'll still be alive and recruiting if the time comes where we can make another character. xD
