Just for the record, just because the undead are enraged at Comet Trail doesn't mean that he personally played a hoof in their deaths. He is wearing a Stormwing uniform through. While House Moon and Star gave the order for Ponyville's death, Stormwing were the ones to carry the order out. Hatred dies hard.
