I have decided to ignore Nasu's apparently random numbers (he also says Rin and Saber have extremely similar busts, for some reason) and go with the pictures: Archer's height is the upper end of six feet. Honestly, if I go with one scene from the new anime, his height is 7'2-7'3. Lanky git. XD

Nothing like a threat to bring a group together briefly. Yep yep.

But yeah, hopefully that wasn't too jerkish of me. The thing is like a komodo dragon fused with a hyper evolved ambush predator on steroids, so I hope it was logical that this would have happened with the clues I laid out and the fact that the situation was pretty ideal for it. ^^.

To be fair, Nonon expected a more conventional dragon.

... And I had to work "Nani sore!?" in somehow.

Hmm. Well, Morito could at least be observing the situation? It's rocky so I imagine there's cover.

Straight to the point: I'm leaving this RP. I've have had lots of fun and you've been awesome, but lately I've just lost my interest in RPing in general. Dunno why, maybe it's just the stress. Anyway, it has nothing to do with any of you and I'm sorry about leaving like that. You may do whatever you wish with my character. I wish you all good luck with this RP and hope it will stay awesome and soar to even greater epicness.

On a related note, probably won't be rejoining this after all.

Bluh, I may not be able to get a post-up tonight, and considering I have plans tomorrow morning, I can’t stay up for inconceivable hours cooking something up. Hell, I haven’t even read the more recent posts, so kindly continue on with whatever’s happening. But who am I kidding, it’s not like you needed my characters anyway.

Not sure if those paragraphs are too long still. I’d be happy to edit them smaller if so.

So… Now that Vulpes is unfortunately gone, is it safe to say that Whitney died in the fight? One: It might make good character development for Felt and anyone else who had comforted her before the fight; I’d assume that it would be pretty heartbreaking seeing someone die like that. Two: I’d hate to see those Pokémon get lonely, and leaving them there without any food or water would be a waste in resources, as they’re basically weapons that can be divided amongst those who need them.

You know, I don’t think they ever bring it up in the show, but what happens to Pokémon whose trainers had died? Would they willingly obey anyone after the fact?

Whenever a character leaves an RP, saying they died is a really, really bad idea.

The better option is they suddenly get returned home or something when it comes to this kind of RP.

I read a fic in which a Pokemon was unable to escape from its Pokeball after their trainer died in the wilderness and remained there until the stored data corrupted and a missingNO. reference happened. When Ash lost his Pokeballs in one of the early episodes, though, Pikachu was able to just shake them and call the names of the contained Pokemon and they appeared.

I like the idea of distributing the remaining Pokemon, though. Nice one.

Realistically in this verse, we could say they decided to drop out of the Competition, and are thus consigned to wander around the 'main lobby' until someone wins, like everyone else who competed

:/ Ok that would make sense if we weren't in the middle of a crazy dragon fight.

But I mean... given the circumstances, it would seem weird to not kill her off.

Also, I too like the idea of distributing the Pokemon.

Realistically where the player stopped playing their character, it would make sense that they’d die in the situation. Also, it kind of opens up the question on why anyone who simply wants to go home doesn’t get themselves killed off.

I don’t quite understand what you mean when you say it’s a bad idea, could you explain further?

Yeah, [2] to this.

Like, I understand it being a bad idea if killing off a character is our go-to solution for every drop-out, as that would do more harm than good after a while, especially in relatively calm situations and if people start dropping like flies. (I once GMed an RP where I made it way too easy for characters to die, and just about anyone could go out Death Note-style whenever needed. I regretted that.) But, for now, one character death, in a situation where it makes perfect sense that we could have a casualty...

Also, was it ever mentioned that anyone who dies in this realm simply goes home? I don't remember that.

Probably wouldn't be fair to Vulpes if she came back. I remember when in an RPG, a GM decided that everyone that dropped out of the RPG were used to power some giant cannon and people got piiiiiiiiissed.

I mean, we already have an omnipotent, albeit dying God, maybe he just decides "eh fuck it. Let's take her home". I do agree that we could acknowledge the dropping out in RP, but not chalk it up to "suddenly they die."

That would make sense if Vulpes had just disappeared for a while without officially dropping out, but,

:/ This is kind of a clear drop-out and permission to do whatever we please with Whitney. Generally the understanding is that if you drop-out, at least officially, the fate of that character is completely left up to the GM.
