3/6 Spots Filled
Centuries have passed since the destruction of the Reapers and the death of Commander Shepard. Surviving an age of isolation, the sentient races finally succeeded in recreating the mass relays, which opened space once again. The Cathedral, the Citadel renamed, was soon after built. Unlike the previous history of councils, the current Council houses a representative from all races whom participated in the war against the Reapers: salarian, turian, asari, krogan, geth, human, quarian, and drell. With the new unification of the species, and the old hostilities put on hold, all galaxy species lived through a golden age of peace, which brought about growth and technological advancements.
It wasn’t long until the sorely sought after peace was shattered. Joint-species space stations had become the new norm. Built throughout almost all systems, each were pinnacle in maintaing order in their designated region. When stations began out of contact in Titan Nebula, the Alliance responded to the Council’s sanctions and sent a reconnaissance. Expecting a report logistical error, the Cathedral became ever more alarmed when the Alliance recon team failed to report it. Soon after, a human colony disappeared and the team sent there disappeared as well.
Learning from the past, militaries were once again called forth. The unannounced fear of another greater enemy slowly crept into the mind of all Council members.
It wasn’t long until they finally revealed themselves. On every galaxy channel, in every system, the following warning was given to all:
Long have we slumbered in dark respite.
What you have learned to fear, the Reapers,
They have feared us. Their very existence pales
To us. We are Legion. We are many. We are the destroyer.
We are the arbiters. We are the executioners.
When the transmission ended, the Council wasted no time in disputing the validity of the threat. Whatever threats had anything thing to do with the Reapers, they responded with the only logical decision. The races all prepared for another war. Be it a hoax or not, they prepared. What research was put into domestic was once again swung in the favor for military might. Though the races were still feeling the effects of the last great war, they mustered all they could in preparation for the next.
Part of the military buildup directive, the Council created a new shadow group. Made up of all races with only the most elite considered for recruitment, Echelon, led by the illusive Directors and Council, was created. Armed with the best equipment that the galaxy could afford, these souls would be the vanguard against Legion. Their directive grants them total autonomy with regards to using any means necessary to prevent or hinder the Legion’s advance.
Centuries had passed since Shepard’s conquest over the Reapers. Again, the strength of the Council’s species are being tested by an enemy who claims dominance over the greatest threat sentient life has encountered yet. Will sentient life prevail or will the galaxy burn?
The year is 300 A.R.

Mandatory Guidelines:
1. First and foremost, realism is expected from every player. Though Commander Shepard survived near impossible odds, our cast shall not be as invulnerable. Each and everyone is a unique and average individual who are performing in extraordinary circumstances. Have your characters get wounded, throw a tirade, and whatever else comes to mind. At the end of the day, it’s all about realism here folks.
2. Over the span of months, your GM has created a story arc, which the plot will follow. However, this doesn’t mean creativity amongst the players is prohibited. Quite the contrary in fact. Feel free to throw in a twist. The arc will adapt to whatever and wherever the story may go from there.
3. The GM’s word is law. If you, the players, have any ideas to bring up, tell me! I would love to talk about it and see if we can fit it in somewhere. However, when a decision is made, please accept it.
4. Posting. As long as each person responds at least once a week, everything will be just peachy. If there’s a prolonged absence of an individual, I will inquire of their status via PM. Only if I haven’t gotten a response back from him or her or he or she told me they lost interest, I will kill off the character and reopen the spot.
5. If you’re being rude outside of an in-character post, I will give you a warning. I don’t want some flame war going on in the OOC. Be civil. The internet can be just the most offensive place sometimes, and I’d rather keep a cordial environment for all to take part in and enjoy.
6. Have fun! This is probably the number one reason why we do what we do. It is for me anyways. Even if the above guidelines may be a tad blunt and/or harsh, they exist in the spirit of making this as enjoyable as possible for all.
That wraps this section up. I will amend the guidelines as needed, so please keep up to date with these. I will post message when something is either added or removed.

Authorized classified release: Echelon
Created in the year 300 A.R., the Council saw fit to outfit a shadow group constructed solely to combat the Legion threat. A conglomeration of the best and brightest of all species, the diversity aspect, in the Councils hopes, would contribute to a more holistic team capable of adapting.
To balance the power, the group known as the Directors was created. Selected with the utmost care and secrecy, it is this group that holds overall decisions with regards to Echelon’s activities. As the Council holds the Spectres in check, so does the Directors keep their operatives in line. Nothing conclusive is known about the Directors, for their communication is given through proxies, namely, cell leaders for each Echelon unit. All that is known is that each Director is competent in a certain field, which makes them invaluable to Echelon’s running. The number of active personnel and cell total is only known to the Directors.
