Eh, Eldritch. Not to rain on your parade, but Scarlet's wound isn't that serious. She was wearing armor, which would've slowed it down (or stopped it outright had it hit the main part). It wasn't a windlass crossbow or anything, definitely lethal if hit in the right place, but not an armor-piercer.
And she was hit in the area equivalent to the fleshy part of the thigh, really she isn't in much immediate danger.

Should've been more specific to begin with, but still.

Alrighty, I may edit it if I have time, I just figured given she has had an arrow stuck in her for a while now and the resultant bleeding from that arrow will have mess around with her a bit in terms of blood loss and woozyness. I didn't really think it was fatal, only that it'd be easier if she just did the healing in the Inn.

Yeah, that part's right.

But Scarlet isn't stupid, she does know how to slow bleeding and such.

I'll also add that she pulled the bolt out.

Wait, the bolt was pulled out?

*Edits recent entry to reflect that* There we go.

Ironically enough, the first two visitors were luck. :p

Should I go and write up a description of the injury so y'all can use that without me having to run around saying what it is and isn't?

I'll have to copy Monochromatic here: Not to rain on your parade, Eldritch, but the Nightmares don't have invisibility spells :/ They're shadows, so to speak, and can hide in them simply because they look like a shadow themselves. That coupled with their ability to travel through solid objects gives them an illusion of being able to turn invisible.

Also... A blood sacrifice for those thingies... Am I right to assume that said blood is coursing through them, then?

Thats twice someone has said that to me in so many hours, anyhoo, I'll sort it out, I am just repeatedly uncertain of the established rules given I am relying on sparse details from original canon and the mod's headcanons.

The blood sacrifice part? basically it can either use its own or go and kill something and coat the runes in it, it only needs to be done relatively infrequently however, but its the price they pay for the spell.

So it's basically a living thing, then? The Nightingales?

As for the sparse details... if you're unsure about something at some point in the future again, just give me a shout and we can figure it out.

both the Spheres and the Nightingales are living things, but what is inside of those shiny little shapes is pretty much nightmare fuel.

I'm probably going to wait until Eldritch makes Nocturne do something. Gives me some time to get a few other things done as well.

And... did she always have that accent? I don't remember reading it...

I tended to make it variate between perspectives, from her perspective she sounds normal, from other peoples she sounds quite accented. Recently I decided just to drop it and keep the accent full time.

also sorry for the wait, I'll get something up in the next couple of hours.

Time to wait on Bald pony to return with the medical equipment whilst Nocturne grumbles about not having access to Scalpels labs and the gadgetry there. :P

I can see it now "If only I had my boss' stuff, we wouldn't need to fix the leg, we'd just make you a whole new one, it'd be better than the old one too."

Funny bit is, Scarlet would be chill with that, assuming there was no mind-slaving involved. Hell, she'd probably ask how the nerve endings functioned with the leg or whatnot.

Please, we have enough of those as it is, besides, its attachment wouldn't require her death to function.

Really the Drones are a sort of prototype for a mass producible model, the ideal type is ones like Tsan and Lambda who are fully conscious and follow the doctor out of loyalty, Eventually the old Drones will give way to a more complicated model in the future with equal capacities for conscious decision making, but that will require the Doctor to start on his citadel and build the manufacturing base first.

Would or wouldn't?

And I do know that. I was mainly saying that, Scarlet would have more curiosity and fascination with them than "Eugh, destroy!"
To be fair, neither is Armifera herself (in terms of "Slay the abominations!"), unless of course they were attacking her, but surely we can avoid that with a mutual agreement, no?

Well lets just say the less people trying to murder me the better, I am sure we can work our way around the finer details after a agreement of mutual non-hostility.

I'm sure we can. Provided Scalpel's troops don't see an Alicorn and go into attack mode.
And assuming Thea doesn't sour his opinion of Alicorns further.

Basically assuming we all keep relatively cool heads.

EDIT: 1000th Post! Hahah!
