@ Maxwell: Hope you didn't pull the same mistake I've made a million times out from under your hat--Typing it all in post window then accidentally telling the computer to go back a page.

Firstly I am very sorry you lost your work Maxwell. That really sucks and has happened to me more times than I care to admit. :(

Considerably better. I still think the towering goddess who can force people to like her smacks of wish fulfillment, and she's still going to stick out like a sore thumb. For the former, I guess we might see, and for the latter, that doesn't actually have any impact on the selection process, only on your in-game odds.

First off here, thank you for recognizing the work I did in revamping her personality and backstory. :)

Secondly, Maxwell, after consideration I have decided you are right. I did make an error in making her have that 'perfect beauty'. I did not take into account that the physical appearance of her father as well as mother would be manifested in her end physical appearance and as a result she came out with literally a vaelie appearance stapled to some of the size of a lorenvolk. I have now gone back and edited her appearance as well as changing the references to her having extreme beauty in the sheet. I hope you will find her new appearance less wish fulfillment and more sensible. Could you let me know your thoughts on the appearance changes?

Edited profile, boss, please advise haha.

I am a believer of developing your character in the role play, rather then writing a page describing the personality in the CS, and then looking back at your CS every time your character reacts or has to say something. So I apologize for the brevity of my CS.

I added the slightly curved blade as his weapon, please let me know if that's a problem. Since he is from another type of race/culture I want this to also reflect in his combat style and armament.

I've got two characters now that I'm having a hard time choosing between, so I'm wondering if anyone would like to offer their opinion. If they care. :P Or if you guys, or Maxwell in particular, might prefer one over the other. :) Let me know. If not, I might just have to flip a coin.

3 Questions. :)

1. Is all magical damage reversible or is it possible that some mages can do things that others do not know how to fix?

2. Can any deity no matter how minor grant magic to his or her priests?

3. May we freely create priesthoods and magical orders that venerate gods of our own making?

No time for character sheets now. I'm just gonna answer those last three questions.

1. Anything's possible, but giving yourself irreversible powers might be crossing the line. No one can reverse death, anyway (direct divine intervention is *not* common), and I doubt you'll have a lot of recurring enemies. I wasn't going to hit you guys with a bunch of irreversible effects, anyway.

2. Yes, with the caveat that the god has to actually exist. Your invisible friend can't grant you spells, you can't worship yourself for spells, and your character can't make up, say, a god of Every Third Wednesday just to get magic. Otherwise, even if there is only one worshiper left in the world, his god can still grant him magic (if he is a priest), for reasons mortal minds are not meant to comprehend. There's no significant difference in power between a priest of a god with ten million followers and one with just ten - presumably because even the mightiest priest is a speck of dust compared to the weakest god.

3. You may, your characters may not. See point 2. If think you're giving yourself a free army, I will be very cross.

Here is my CS for consideration; please give some advice on what I need to do to improve it. I hope it's suitable.

Bridgeburner: Better. To address the rest of your post, I'm a believer in having a solid grasp who your character is and where he's from before the game begins. You're entitled to your opinion, naturally, but personally I've never, in eleven years of role playing, seen anyone actually pull off what you describe.

Nemaisare: Both were good, but the dog was better. That appearance section - though pretty impressive, given that you were basically describing a wolf - was a little too long, though.

Chromane: Also very good, but I'd like at least a brief description of what he was doing the night the castle was breached.

Everyone: If I've forgotten to mention it to anyone, ending your background with a brief description of what happened during the final moments before the start of the game would be good. It means I'll have an easier time writing the opening post, and it means I'll be able to incorporate your characters into the opening narrative. Which is something I want to do.

Maxwell, I also edited the appearance for my character to help reduce the wish fulfillment aspect. May I ask if it was an improvement? I also finished adding her significant items and contact stuff.

Also, Lin'Lise was in her daughter's nursery after having found her slain when she saw Erasmus plummet down past the window on his way to the pigsty. I made sure to do that. :)

@ Maxwell: Riven was at the base of the tower containing Erasmus' personal quarters when he crashed into the pigsty. Nasty way to go.

Teaser: get ready for mute royal jester, former bodyguard and spy with a sadistic streak.

Note: I know how pictures offend your crotchety old eyes, Max. Just a charrie concept.

Since he is Captain of the royal guard, I would like to have Agaron fighting off a wave of the invaders, bottle-necking a certain staircase. Alas, the enemy made it through using other routes, cutting down the royal guards there. When Agaron ran back to check on the King, the nasty happened.

If that's alright I will happily write an excerpt describing that.

I think it'll be awesome to have Agaron cut off his valued braids with fetishes, each one symbolizing a deed, once he finds out he failed to protect the King...

And then on to dishing out retribution and vengeance during the Role Play, to lessen the failure.

@Maxwell: I'll say Taula was caught up in fighting at the royal mews when the invaders broke through the defenses and couldn't make too much headway towards the king as the stables burned, enemies rushed in and animals panicked.

Gazebor is likely introducing himself to someone of importance in the attacking army and attempting to bribe them/offering his services/doing something in an attempt to save his own skin.

I count eleven separate users on this page alone. I'm torn between immense satisfaction that my game turned out so popular, and bitterness at having to turn down some of these sheets. I've been saying for a number of years that the Advanced section's gone to shit, but I'm glad to have been proven wrong. I see I chose a great time to make a comeback.

Raptorman: What matters is that you didn't insist on the otherworldly beauty. I don't see your possessions and contacts, though.

Everyone: Dammit, people, I'm not gonna remember all of that. Put it in your sheets. D:
