"Well that is a perfectly good explanation for this whole situation, Lee replied after the girl. He grabbed his rifle and police baton, ran after the rest of the group.
Have you ever ran for your life with a 80 pound rifle on your back, that is not the easiest thing to do, but Lee managed to keep up with the rest of he group.
"Soo, how far is this thing, I am asking because I don't think it is a good idea to run our ourselves to death", Lee yelled up at the girl on the roof as they ran.

Conna'Cel was currently having an internal debate with himself. "Hostility sensed, preparing to engage. Error: hostile response will take place if engage, otherwise no hostile action takes place. Best course of action: do not engage." Then the Elvhan proceeded to talk about a way off the planet and to follow her, otherwise her ship will self-destruct. "Outcome of following unknown entity to unknown destination: unknown. Others proceeding to follow, likelihood of survival following others: moderate. Likelihood of survival alone in zombie-infested territory: low. Best course of action: stay with the group." With his plan set, he followed the Elvhan assassin along with the others he encountered, caring only about his own survival.

"How is that woman going to survive even one night with these things? After all this destruction who knows if there will even be any light at night, and especially because she is going to be alone, we don't even know what else could be out here, after seeing that even birds can turn into those demon-like things." He thought to himself. "I have to turn back." Mallion couldn't help his protective instinct to go after her and either stick with her, or try to convince her to go with them. "I'll try to catch up with you guys later!" He yelled at the three as he flew the other direction. He caught a glimpse of something green below him, and realized he forgot all about the orc. "Oh hey mister, orc thing? You should probably go with one of the groups, it's way too dangerous to be alone in a crisis like this." Mallion was starting to panic. He wants to be quick so he is able to catch back up to the Elvhen and use her ship.

Solana had taken off running before anyone could respond to her ultimatum. She didn't plan to make it easy for any of them to make it back to her ship, if they wanted to ride with her they had to prove they deserved it, like she had to prove she deserved to ride with her mentor daily the last twenty-five years of training. She planned a winding, weaving route back to her ship. Of course she will modify based on the threat level present as they go.

She came to a halt. She turned to everyone and motioned for silence and to hide. The roof was built that if you knelt you couldn't be seen. There was a group of zombies on the next roof, she wanted to watch them, to study them.

She stuck her up just enough to watch. They were just shambling about on the rooftop aimlessly. She grabbed a piece of broken roofing material and threw it at a taller building and broke a window. The zombies went after the noise like moths to the flame. "Basic animal instincts."

"Well that's good to know, that still doesn't tell us how to kill them, like we're to shoot or were to stab", whispered to the assassin. "I'd we knew how to kill them instantly, running away would be easier", Lee suggested.
Lee was not the strategic person, he was more of the weapons upgrader, the blacksmith, he went to college for a robotics engineering degree after all. He hoped that his skilled would come in handy, if they did, then he knew that he would not have to regret college

Shit.

This is not what I bargained for. This is a downright goddamn horde. Even with perfect headshots, I only managed to drop a couple dozen and now I'm out of ammo. I turn to run and find myself backed into a corner, abominations on all sides. I grin nervously, sweating, and search desperately for an escape. Fire escape too high. Gaps in between zombies too small. Walls high and sheer. Guns down. Can't touch any of them.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

Okay, so for future reference, four magazines is not enough to kill an entire zombie horde with...oh, who am I kidding? There is no future reference. This is pretty much where it ends. Not with the asshats who've chased me for most of my life, but with some unthinking, unfeeling bunch of creatures. The irony is hilarious and I find myself laughing. I grin wickedly and snatch the knife hanging on my thigh from the sheath, dropping into a classic knife-fighter's stance and awaiting the horde. Come at me, fuckers. I ain't got a thing to lose.

Releasing a bellow of smoke from his lungs, Lug gave a snort of disdain towards the elf. Damn things preaching about their goddess or whatever. It mattered not to Lug, he knew for the most part that they were all talk and while some of them put up a decent enough fight they were just too fragile in the eyes of the Ork. Turning away from the little group, seeing as they had no interest in talking to him, Lug decided to think up his own plan. Looking around he could see that the wyrdies were everywhere, especially over there where a new victim was being torn apart. Zoggin bastard went down screaming.

Another wave of smoke left Lug's lungs as he took one last drag from his cigar before grinding the tip against his finger, he would finish it later. Putting it with the other cigars in his case, Lug ignored the little runt that talked to him and continued to stay put as the group left. Well, all but one at least. She had moved on, not one to go with the elf and that meant that she at least wasn't easily fooled by their superiority complex that filled the elves very being. Plus the way she talked was pretty Orky, so that meant she was all right in Lug's book.

Watching her go he saw that she was quiet the shot, all if not most of her shots hit the wyrdies dead center in the head. Killing all of them. Interesting, so that's how you kill them dead. However it was becoming apparent that she was going to get overrun pretty soon as she ran out of ammo. Taking out his Mek Wrench, Lug grinned a toothy grin as he dropped from the roof. His fall was a heavy one as his muscles and bones absorbed the shock of the fall but after a little hop or two the tinglies went away.

Seeing the hoard was just upon her, Lug charged forth with the traditional battle cry of his people, "WAAAAAGH!!!"

His battle cry drew much attention from the hoard and away from the girl as the turned to see the louder source of food. Unfortunately for them they found that a Mek Wrench was highly unappetizing as it smashed through their heads with ease. Laughing as he did so Lug swung in a large ark, the bladed part of his wrench cleaving heads and torsos alike. However there were a lot of them and he could not take them on his own without some support.

With ecstatic pants of excitement, Lug ran through the opening he had made and hooked the ladder to the fire escape over with the wrench before pulling it down and climbing it. As he did so he said "Oi! Unless you plan on gettin ate than 'urry up and climb!" with a toothy grin plastered on his face.

Just as I'm accepting the inevitable, there's an enormous bellow as a huge green thing drops from the sky and roars loud enough to attract pretty much everything's attention. Damn, that ork can fight. I rescind my previous statement about plant people; this thing is badass. He hooks over the fire escape and I shoot him a smile of genuine gratitude, not something that I do a lot.

"Thanks, man. You came right on time."

I climb up the ladder faster than most people can run, swarming up the fire escape in the blink of an eye, all the while loading more bullets into my clips. I really need to get more of them, because all the bullets in the world are useless if I can't put them in my gun. When I reach the top, I meet the small group of zombies on the building with a smile on my lips and my fingers on my triggers.

Well felt useless during that whole ordeal, while the girl was getting surrounded with zombies, he stood there watching, he finally snapped out of his trance when the Ork went berserk on the and saved the girl. He need to pay attention in order to survive. He watched as the Ork and girl climbed the fire escape onto the roof, only to meet more infected,. He was sure they could handle it, buy they probably couldn't handle the horde of them coming from the air, and from below. Lee had to think fast, and his idea came to him. "HEY Ork, I need a cigar please"!!, Lee yelled as he placed his rifle on the floor, open the prongs, layed down himself and aimed for the beasts in the air.

Bang

Smoke billowed out of His rifles muzzle. 2 flying zombies dropped the ground. It wasn't the first time he shot a gun, the recoil was strong but he could handle it. Lee pulled the bolt, and an empty she'll flew out the side, Lee took aim one again.

The zombies that Solana had been watching were attracted to the noise of the sniper rifle fired by Lee. She killed them. "Are you stupid sniper boy? We just learned that they swarm any source of noise. So your first reaction is to fire a loud gun. Unless you have a death wish then dump that rifle or find a silencer before you even dare to think about firing it again. There is a sporting goods store in that building any thing in there is better than that rifle." She pointed at the building she was referring to. "If you want a ride off this planet on my ship then prove you deserve a ride."

Lee smiled, " Well then ima just have to prove myself", Lee stood up picked up his rifle, and ran down the fire escape. He ran towards the bar across the street, luckily he was able to find a dead man on the floor with a half a bottle of rum in his hand. Lee ripped it from his cold hands, ripped the man's shirt, and stiffed the shirt in the tip of the bottle, broke the cigar in half, and poured all it contents inside the bottle. Lee took out a lighter and was about to light the shirt, "Well know that we have a large group of them in a small area, we could either blow them up, or throw this some were else away from us, so we can escape with out a horde of zombie our butts", Lee yelled up at the girl.

As Lug reached to top of the fire escape he was met with a small group of the wyrdies. Cracking a smile he swung his Mek Wrench in a wide are, slamming the blunt side into soft bodies and causing them to fly in many directions. Some died but that wasn't his point, what was important was that it cleared a big chunk out the group off the building before moving to the stragglers. The woman had been taking them out along side them and even a sniper of some sort had shot down one of the flying ones.

In a short time the small group of wyrdies was taken care of and it was safe to take a breather for a second. Taking stock of his situation, Lug could see several things. Sniper boy had ran off to the bar and left with a good ol molatov, the elf was being an elf, and a horde was still around. Giving a grunt, Lug turned to his partner for the time being and said "Im finken dat we 'ead over to me workshop. The ship is a piece of zoggin trash but I still got me dakka kits and seeing 'ow you be runnin out of bullets you'll need as much dakka you can 'andle."

While waiting for an answer Lug took out the stogie he hadn't finished and placed it in his mouth before sparking the tip with the ark.

"Damn, are bad asses the only ones immune to the zombification or what?" I thought to myself as I watched the ork ignore me and go kill a horde of zombies. A television screen in the corner of my eye flickered on with a blonde woman behind a desk. The window behind her was shattered and behind that you could see zombies flying in all directions. "A recent outbreak has occurred, a true zombie apocalypse is upon us. All we know is that it originated from Earth's moon and that there are more things out there that are not like here. Please whoever is out there, stop this epidemic." She sounded really calm about it. She then feinted on the desk, knocking over a bottle of pills into the camera shot. A zombie then flew in and started gnawing on her neck. I sent my daggers at the screen to shatter it, and then zombies started to swarm around the shattered screen like moths to light. I began slicing them up with my daggers in rage of what has happened. We didn't deserve this.

A manic grin is still plastered on my face as I pull the triggers for the last time, the final wave of zombies either bashed, sniped or shot to oblivion. Takes me a moment to unravel the ork's rather heavy accent, but as I figure out what he's saying, my smile grows even wider. Isn't it a little ironic that I'm smiling more during a zombie apocalypse than in normal life? I chuckle a bit and pat the big guy on the arm in lieu of his too-high-up head.

"Now you're speaking my language, man. Let's see what kind of dakka you got."

The guy lights up a cigar. And here I was thinking that he couldn't be any more badass. I load my clips up again, frowning. Only a couple dozen spare bullets left; I desperately need a restock. Good thing, then, that this guy appears to be an expert in the dakka arts. Plus I won't have to deal with an Elvhen. Pretentious killer fucks...Anyway, the clips go back into my guns and a loud clack echoes off the rooftops twice in succession as I cock them. The knife slides from my pocket, where I'd hastily shoved it, back to its sheath, and I twirl the guns, slipping them into their holsters.

"Lead the way, as long as we get away from that damn Elvhen girl."

Solana heard the stupid sniper boy yelling. She just rolled her eyes. She thought about alerting him to the horde his yelling attracted. He was going to get himself killed eventually better sooner than later. Since most decided to follow the little girl and the big dumb brute, all that was left was stupid sniper boy and the robot. If the robot felt like tagging along she would let it for now. She started heading towards her ship at full speed foregoing the zig zag root she had planned earlier.

Conna'Cel, seeing the group of people separating, was now debating which group to follow. "Elvhan assassin, highly skilled. Human and orc, sharpshooter and berserker. Processing..." He did not bother with the "sniper boy", as his current value was so meager as to be insignificant. There were other, more important factors to consider.

He went through a large number of calculations based on his current information, but was unable to determine a definite answer. "Error: calculation failure. Resume previous directive," Conna'Cel said, deciding to follow the Elvhan assassin. He watched as she followed a bizarre zigzag path, then followed, taking the shortest path he could determine from the assassin's path.

It was 1 hour away from sunset, the city would be pitch black and covered in these deadly little shits. "Guys, shouldn't we follow the Elvhen? It's our best chance of survival, how are you going to survive a night in the pitch black with these deadly things? We don't even know what else could be out there." He called out to the ork and the woman wielding dual pistols. "And besides, the word of these creatures erupting in Taryn getting out could mean a mass bombing in hope to stop the spread, with you guys still on it." I turned back towards the Elvhen hoping they would listen, if they die and I find out, I may never forgive myself for abandoning them.

Ughhhh, he's absolutely right. The place could be a bombed-out crater by tomorrow. But there's something both he and the Elvhen overlooked or simply don't care about; galactic quarantine law. I clear my throat.

"In the event of a catastrophic infectious pathogen, a planet's airshield is to be closed off completely and totally until such time as the infection is cleared." Or, in layman's terms, there's a bigass force field stopping us from leaving. "As far as I know, even those crazed assassins don't have something going through a planetary quarantine shield, and even if they did, in all likelihood, there's a blockade of Charon-class battlecruisers stationed at strategic points around orbit. If something slipped through, it would be shot out of space before the engines could sputter." I won't lie; I haven't used my tactical brain much in the past few years, and to be honest, I've missed it a bit.

"So unless you want to take a chance with heavy military armaments, I suggest we all stay here. Whatever happens, we'll find some way to make it through this utter insanity."

I stopped moving and thought about what the pistol girl just said. I knew nothing of the galactic quarantine law, but I trust the bad ass Elvhen. "I believe the Elvhen knows what she is doing so I'm going to follow her. If you want to take your chances fighting hordes of these things that's fine, but just know that I tried to talk you out of it." I say with my back turned at her, and then continue moving forward. What do I have to lose, anyways?

Solana reached her ship. She pulled out a small electronic device and pressed a few buttons, a ramp lowered. "Welcome back Mistress Solana." Solana patted the side of the ship. "Glad to be home Diligent. We may have company soon. Disengage the IFF and fire only on my command if necessary." She raised the ramp, so that no zombies could enter. "Begin scanning for the location of the airshield generator. With the current state of affairs the government probably turned it on. Also please run a diagnostic on all defensive and offensive measures. "Affirmative misstress." Solana then proceeded to the bridge, she sat down at a chair and brought up a touchscreen with multiple views from around the ship. She selected multiple zombies that were in weapon range. "Diligent scan them and record all measurable data. Once all measurable data has been recorded, target the head and fire. If anyone doesn't match that data let them live and notify immediately." She leaned back in her chair and put her feet up on the table. "That should draw any survivors if they want to leave this planet." She proceeded to close her eyes.
