Just for curiousity, what exactly happens when someone changes to their shifter form? Is it a very quick thing, or does it take some time? Does it take energy or focus to do so, or is it fairly instinctive and effortless?

It's sort of an instinctive thing by the third year. It doesn't take a lot of energy, but you will feel the changes happen, although not painful. For example, my character would feel the tails grow rapidly, her canines elongating and her human ears getting replaced by the fox-like ears as well as... whatever other changes and "boosts" she gets. In the beginning, however, it takes a bit of effort, but the time it takes to change depends on what kind of Shifter you are. A Dragon, for example, would take significantly longer to change because of the sheer size (perhaps 5 seconds in total), whereas Lily would only take one second or so. If you wanted to, I guess you could slow it down, but not really speed it up.

Sure, no problem. I've edited my CS under 'personality' to include who he may not like as well as how he acts around those he doesn't like. Feel free to toss more ideas so that I can flesh him out a bit more. Also, I do like the Remedial Classes scenario, which would extend his time in the course.

I was under the assumption that there was some magical abilities while in human form. This is why he can lift about 400 pounds. Not too much, but more than most humans. If I'm mistaken, I'll toss that out, just what I understood.As for the personality change, I meant to change that. I'll get right on it. :)

My sheet is neaaarly done, and I really want to finish it. Except I started getting a headache this afternoon, and its only worsened to a near-agonizing level as the night has gone on. Pure stubborness is keeping me typing, and hopefully I finish it. Also, I'd thought we had some weaker abilities while in human form, too. Hoping this is still the case. >.<

You do have some in your human form (Non-Shifters have no magic whatsoever), but your magic gets more powerful when you shift. That's the point of it :) Ouch... headaches are never fun. Anywho, looking forward to your character ^^

Could we ask just how powerful this magic is when not shifted? That might help, as we know it gets more powerful shifted, and less so when not, but we don't know by what degree.So obviously we can all kick ass when shifted, but is our magic when not little more than sleight-of-hand? Or would it provide maybe a passive boost to certain abilities (Strength for our giant, either strength/agility for the Valkyrie, speed/agility for the Kitsune, etc...?)That might help clear things up and save a lot of headache.Sorry to hear about your headache btw, Mach. I'd say that Non-Shifted = 5% of your Shifted power. You're still notably stronger than a normal human, but you get much, much more powerful when you Shift.

It seems like we have a few people who are a bit... absent. So far, little word from Bunnita for the past couple days (my last PM has been ignored) and none from Scio ever since his initial comment. I have talked to Frenetic, so she(he?) is still here, working on the character sheet which should be done by tomorrow some time. Apparently finding the right picture is a tricky job :PThis means that we have two spots open. So, Wilson, Feisty? You two willing to give it a go? :)

Not really. Can't find anything more I'd request changed aside from making it so that he isn't outright mentally handicapped, but just a bit of a slow person who has trouble with interacting with people.Edit:As it turns out, I just got word back from Ink_Blood, and he has withdrawn as well. If I remember my 2nd grader's math, we should be 8 at the moment. Me, Monochromatic, Bweoti, Wilson, Frenetic, Mach, Littlemist(if she returns), and Feisty-Pants.

I may join to bring the olden terror of the fae back into the world, back when they were good old Oh yeah Kappa, you may want to reconsider using the Banshee as a separate spirit creature, technically she is one of the fae from what I remember of Gaelic mythology. Maybe you could say she is a rare type nips into two categories, after all from what I understand, whenever humans try and put things in boxes they are swiftly unraveled upon close inspection as they are often tangled amongst each other like old tree roots.
