Nobody was sure how it was possible. Acnologia, the greatest and most horrific dragon to ever live, was dead. His ruin was smote upon a mountainside, or what had been a mountainside, that now was little more than a massive crater on the surface of the world. Somehow, through a strange combination of magic, luck, and pure willpower, a coalition of mages spearheaded by the notorious Guild called Fairy Tail had defeated the greatest threat the world had ever seen. Many lives were lost in the battle, but where there is death, there is also new life. A new age had begun for the land of Fiore; an age where men and women were free to pursue magic as they saw fit, free from the threat of corruption. An age that came to be called...

The Age of Guilds!

However, evil can never truly be destroyed. Wherever there is light, shadows will appear. It wasn't long before Dark Magic began to resurface. Caught unawares, the world soon fell under a shade of fear. In an act of desperation, the Magic Council has authorized the creation of Hunter Guilds, specialized Mage Guilds that train and hone themselves to wage magical war upon any and all Dark Guilds that they find. These Guilds, while still carrying out items and things in the typical fashion that has come to be expected of Mage Guilds, are officially permitted to launch what are called Raids on the places where Dark Mages are believed to be. As for you? Well, you my friend are going to be playing a member of a very specific Hunter Guild. A Guild that you may very well know, but never have you known it like this. A Guild known as...

Crime Sorciere!

I'm interested~

Since we all start as a D-rank mage, is there a specific age you'd like our characters to be?

Late teens to early twenties would be preferable.
If you want to play as a child, go ahead, but you'd have the disadvantages of being one.

Hope you don't mind, I brought in a character from an older rp that I'm quite fond of. Just fixed her up a little to try and make her fit into this rp.

No qualms in bringing in characters from another roleplay, but I suggest following the character sheet format I had posted and to make use of Hiders since no one likes seeing a massive wall of text; it isn't easy on the eyes.

I put her away in a hider, but it's kinda late so I'll fix up the cs and put it into your format tomorrow. Aside from that I hope there are no other problems.

No problem my good sir except for the spell section. If I remember correctly, each construct in molding magic is considered as spell. I don't mind if she creates random miscellaneous constructs with her magic, but spells that are of a larger scale will be considered spells.

Name: Morden Moore
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Morden is far from frail, being built rather solidly as a result of his fighting style. Constantly on the move and relying on athletics rather than magical defenses make him rather fit and lean. He’s rather tall, easily above average. His deep green eyes contrast with the sharp orange of his, general, messy orange hair. Attire-wise it varies, but he can be counted on to wear the cloak almost everywhere. His Guild Mark is on his back, in between the shoulder blades.

Personality: Morden has always been described as untalkative, but rarely withdrawn. Rarely shying away from anything, nevertheless his reluctance to speak more than a few words makes him seem distant. He’s very expressive though, almost wearing his heart on his sleeve, so it’s not too hard to gauge how he feels most of the time. Despite how easily they show though, Morden does have a fairly good leash on his emotions.

He’s not what you would call honorable either. Morden is best described as a mercenary, looking out for himself first and others things after. Honor and such ideals are reserved for stories, and while he isn’t without morals, he doesn’t bother with following any such code or creed.

History: Morden was always meant to be a mage, that was the future set out for him by his parents. They strived to give him the means to become one from as early as he could recall and their relationship is strained, to be it lightly, as a result. He hasn’t seen either of them for just over half a decade and still doesn’t know if he really wants to. Even if he did, Morden doesn’t even know where he would begin to look for them or even if they were still alive. They were part of the same business he had joined; mercenaries, and well… it was a dangerous line of work.

His feelings towards his own mother are probably the more twisted when compared to his father. It was she who oversaw and administer most of the training after all. At first, Morden was happy and enthusiastic about the training he was going to receive from her, after all becoming a mage was many a child’s dream. He might have even been happy, had the training been “normal” by most people’s standards. It was everything but. She held no official designation due to their line of work, but had she been a part of an Official Guild, she would have easily passed the skill requirement for a S-Class ranking. It wasn’t that her overwhelming ability made it impossible for her to train an inexperienced child, but the exact opposite. She took everything into account; her own strength; Morden’s limits, both physical and mental, his rate of growth, everything. And then applied all of that to a brutal training regimen.

Some things came to him naturally throughout the training, but that didn’t cause her to let up in the slightest. If anything, the training in those areas only seemed to ramp up in intensity as she strove to drag him to higher heights. Morden managed to keep up, for a while at the least, but the training took its toll on him. He wasn’t a child anymore when it began, but still young enough that he couldn’t handle the two sides of his mother. Between the gentle and caring parent; and stern, almost brutal, instructor, Morden eventually ran. The two of them had left for a mission and when they came back, it was to find a home without a son.

And with his exposure to the world beyond his city, so came the bitter feelings. He had bore the training for just over a year because he truly believed that she was trying to prepare him for a world where even the slightest mistake could be fatal. And maybe it was for her and his father, but the first time he managed to find work as a Mercenary Mage, there was no challenge to be found. It was almost insultingly easy for Morden after the training he was put through, and for the first time he wondered why. He could understand the need for him to be prepared, but after seeing the results, he couldn’t help but think his mother had gone straight for the overkill. And those thoughts only continued to form as he finished job after job.

He never joined a guild in the passing years, preferring to wander around without any sort of ties that would hold him back. While it made forming a reputation somewhat difficult, Morden didn’t find a problem with that. His parents couldn’t find him if they couldn’t get any information about him after all. On the other hand, it wasn’t too hard for him to find information about his parent’s activities as long as he asked the right type of people. Some disturbing pieces of information, possibly rumors at most, have caused Morden to re-think his decision though. To that end, he sought out a Hunter Guild that was recruiting at the moment: Crime Sorciere.
__________________________

Mage Rank: D-Rank
Magic: Combines two Caster-styles, Bullet and Script.
Signature Spells:
Inscribe: A fairly basic spell from Script-Magic, it imbues the property of words upon whatever is inscribed. A blade with Inscribe: Fire would burst into flames, something with Inscribe: Heavy would become vastly heavier, etc. The spell is only good for basic effects such as the two described above. Other examples would be different elemental effects, or affecting physical characteristics of objects.

Bullet: A basic sphere of magical energy, unremarkable to put kindly. It does have the benefit of simply being a lump of magical energy, and thus easy for him to Inscribe additional effects upon.

Piercing Shot: A higher powered shot that is shaped more like a lance than a sphere. The spell boasts far greater speed, and thus piercing ability than a regular Bullet.

Explosion Shot: A spell with significant charge time in comparison to his others, it is vastly more powerful. Faster than even the Piercing Shot, an Explosion Shot imparts significant kinetic force upon impact after which it detonates in a powerful blast. The kinetic impact serves to weaken, or even destroy, defenses and expose the target to the explosion.
__________________________

Skills:
Despite not using Gun-Magic, Morden is a fair shot with a wide variety of ranged weapons from simple bow and arrow to more advanced firearms.
A fairly experienced traveller, he’s quite capable of providing for himself away from the comforts of civilization.
Inventory: Nothing notable.
