"...Huh, I see." Gerald said, still unsure of what to think about the fact his near mystical image of Beacon had been so thoroughly and completely demolished. Watching at the chicken horde dispersed, Gerald shook his head at the whole situation. It was just so strange, after all, but at least it was over. Turning over to Coral, he looked at the piece of chicken for a few moments before he shrugged. "Sure, I'll have some."

Taking a piece of probably really questionable chicken - hey, food was food, after all - Gerald took a bite before noticing how Esther had set up all of her defences. "...You alright?" he asked, having heard her audible "No" earlier. Did turtles ever have anything against Chicken? Gerald could not recall.

Francesca was mildly happy that the boy had gone away as was mildly apparent when she let out a sigh of relief. Her acquaintance and her walked to the cafeteria. It seemed a fine enough idea. She couldn't really remember eating much that day or did she eat at all? No, she did. It was right after she woke up. That aside, she was hungry now. Inside was. . . Well, a disaster. There were so many people around it was actually a little insane. She didn't think EVERYONE would go to the cafeteria to eat before the opening ceremony. Still, she supposed she had decided to do so herself. She went for food now. It quality was amazing compared to the slope that doesn't even deserve to be called food that was served at her old school.

With food retrieval being successful she now needed to decide something, stay with Schwarz? Or go sit elsewhere? Somewhere else probably included other people who would try to annoy her when she was eating, Schwarz at least wouldn't have to go through introductions again. As she looked out, trying to decide what to do, she noticed one thing. "There are a lot of beasts in this school." While some weren't as noticeable since they have little distinguishing features, others plainly just stood out. She could spy cat ears, dog ears and a few other things just by a quick glance around the room. "I was under the impression there wouldn't be so many faunus." It wasn't the end of the world really. Francesca just didn't like the idea of having more a than just a few faunus around. Murderers and thieves they are, not that she'd say that to their face. Her father never had a good opinion about them. . . That probably rubbed off more on Francesca than was a good thing. Opting not to chance sitting by one of those, she decided to go to her acquaintance who didn't seem to have any around her.

"Greetings again," Francesca said to Schwarz finally making her way to the girl after spotting her out in the crowd. She followed up by starting to eat from her tray of nutritious foods.

"Long time no see." Schwarz said, failing to even force a grin at her pathetic attempt at a joke. It wasn't even the case of 'that sounded better in my head', but more like 'why did that sound good period?' she mentally sighed, nervously checking her watch again. "Bon appetite." she wished to her companion, nibbling at and savoring the chocolate bar and sipping the coffee.

Unable to think of anything interesting to talk about and not wanting to disturb the other from her food, she leaned over and picked up an abandoned newspaper and started flipping through the pages in hopes of finding something to read that would raise her mood a notch. Instead she found herself angrily slapping the paper on the table two pages in, as she reached the article describing the White Fang attack on the Faunus civil rights protest. "Animals!" She growled. As if being treated like a second caste was not enough for the Faunus, now they went as far as to fight among themselves. With appropriate publicity from human owned media. Of course, humanity had it's own share of trouble, but the way the cards were presently dealt, they were the victors writing the history.

Of course she was against this treatment of her race. But neither did she approve of White Fang. They were an army of stupid cattle, driven by their hatreds, fears and insecurities. The idea itself was good enough when it was founded, but old wounds opened up all too easily and now a monster was created it's forefathers were unable to stop. As Schwarz read through the article, she could only hope there was at least some motive behind their madness, no matter how heinous.

Picking the paper back up, she flipped a few pages. Her features froze as she gazed on an ad. Specifically a Nacht Instruments ad. With herself, in all of her winged beauty, playing a piano. Eyes wide in panic, she quickly torn the page away and folded it int pocket so no one could see, her eyes darting from left an right to check if anyone saw it over her shoulder. Seeing she was in the clear for now, her mind raced. How many people read this particular paper? How many copies could there even be in the school? Her ruse could crumble down any second! All this way away from home, and her family still finds a way to cause her problems!

Damn them. Damn them all to Grimm. she thought bitterly.

Just when Michelle finally thought she managed to calm down, she heard a voice saying, "How adorable." She quickly turned toward the source while backing away a bit, her eyes identifying the boy that had been growled at by the Faunus boy. He was staring at her, which probably meant that he saw her entire little episode, including her rocking. Turning red in embarrassment at the thought, she got up onto her feet, cleared her throat a bit, and asked, "What are you doing here?" while glaring at him and trying to look a little more dignified. Unbeknownst to her for now, her hood had fallen off when she was rocking, revealing her head, and more importantly, her cat ears, which were up from her current emotional status.

The girl seemed to get up, then just blushed more than ever, then demanded to know what he was doing here. Khalis was only enjoying this day more and more. "Nothing, really. Just observing. Although I probably have to thank you for calming him down. If not for you..." He gripped his neck as he said "I may not have walked out of there." Which was true. It seemed Mr Dark and Scary really didn't like being looked at, let alone talked to. But he didn't seem to mind Miss Kitty here, which made him smile even more. At least Dark and Scary may have found a friend in her. It'd be unfortunate if he couldn't make any other friends here, even if forced via teams.

Khalis's focus was back on her. "But aren't you blushing a little too much? Are you really that far from your comfort zone? Its honestly just adorable." He couldn't help but laugh at her expense, then apologized. Khalis extended a hand to her, just as he had intended the other. "I'm Khalis, a pleasure." After that, he was contemplating bombarding her with questions like he did the other guy, but that may have been a bad idea. For now, some simple conversing. After all, they still had time before the speech.

As he walked to where students were to return their used trays, plates and utensils he noticed the cloaked Faunus female from before quickly walking past him. Practically throwing her tray at the ever-growing stack of trays, she then sprinted out of the cafeteria. Stopping, he tilted his head curiously at her haste, raising an eyebrow. Did the food not sit well with her? Perhaps she had gotten sick from something. Odd. Shrugging, he resumed his walk. Standing in front of the proper receptacles, he returned everything to their proper place. Only hesitating when he held the cracked glass in his hand.

Sighing, he wondered if he let his anger get the better of him.

Maybe the white-haired boy wasn't mocking him and honestly just wanted to get to know him. There were humans who were friendly, if not indifferent, to Faunus after all. However, he couldn't bring himself to ever trust or befriend a human. He couldn't let himself become soft and weak like that. He'd rather confide in his Faunus comrades. At least they would have a better chance of understanding the pain he had gone through. Placing the damaged glass where it belonged, he made his way out of the cafeteria.

Whatever.
He couldn't understand why anyone in their right mind would think he would be a nice person to get along with anyways. Adjusting his jaw, he grabbed at his face mask absently.

As he wandered the halls of Beacon, now having left the cafeteria, he wondered what he should do next. There was still some time left before the opening ceremony. How much time though, he wondered. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his Scroll once again and opened it to observe the current time. Plenty of time left. Stretching his arms upward, he figured he might as well take a nap after having eaten. The weather was nice out after all. Leaving the main building of Beacon, he entered the courtyard that the new students had passed on their way in. Looking up at the blue sky above, he smiled a little. His smile hidden by his mask. Outside, it was much quieter and peaceful, with most of the student body inside and eating. He felt the built up tension from earlier slowly slipping away as he strolled, his head clearing.

Now, which bench or tree to pick for a quick nap?

As he stopped and his blue eyes scanned for the shade of a comfortable tree to nap under, that's when he saw her again. The cloaked female Faunus from before. She was oddly rocking back and forth for some reason. Almost curled into a tight ball with her hands on her head. Was she okay? Kuhaku didn't think the food here at Beacon was that bad. Maybe she had gotten sick after all. That was when Kuhaku noticed him. The white-hair boy was standing, leaning against the side of the tree that she was under. Was he troubling her? This kid just seemed to have a thing with bothering Faunus. Clenching his fists tightly, he glared at the white-haired boy from across the school grounds, a growl rising in his throat again. With his ears up and back, he had just about enough of this human. He would not tolerate another Faunus being harassed. Feeling his stress returning, he began to storm towards the two. He contemplated ripping a bench or tree up to smash into the white-haired boy. Maybe then he would get the message that Kuhaku wanted nothing to do with him.

Not even see him.

Michelle raised an eyebrow as he explained why he was out here, and it seemed like Michelle was willing to put him in her good books. Then came the mention of her blushing and her being out of her comfort zone, which only made her blush even more. She diverted her gaze away from him, then realized that her hood was off and her cat ears were very visible. She quickly reached back and placed her hood back where it was on her head, which helped hide part of her blushing face, but not completely. His apology did not help matters much, and then he extended his hand and introduced himself to be Khalis. Michelle stared at his hand for a second and was about to reach out to shake his hand, but resisted the impulse and kept her hand in her cloak. "Michelle," she said in response, then turned away from Khalis and began to walk away. She decided that she needed to keep a better check on her emotions and not let people be able to trigger them so easily. That was much easier said than done, of course, but Michelle was determined to do it.

Then she saw the Tiger Faunus boy marching up to them, an angry expression on his face and his fists clenched. That was clearly not a good sign, and Michelle could quickly guess that Khalis was the one he was directing his anger at. Michelle quickly stood between them and raised her hands in front of her, palms outward as if to defend herself. "Woah woah, it's ok, t-there's no trouble here. He just came over t-t-to ap-pologize, t-that's all," Michelle explained, frustrated that she was stuttering. She had no love or pity for Khalis, but she was not going to let him get hurt if she could prevent it. And right now, she could definitely try to prevent it. She was still blushing fiercely, especially now that she was staring at the Tiger Faunus boy, but she hoped that her hood would help hide it well enough from him.

Kuhaku halted in his tracks as the cloaked female Faunus came between him and the white-hair with her hands raised.

"Woah woah, it's ok, t-there's no trouble here. He just came over t-t-to ap-pologize, t-that's all," she said, stammering for some reason.

As he had gotten closer to their position, he realized that the white-haired boy was merely conversing with the female Faunus. Once again, he had jumped to conclusions and let his emotions control him. Sighing, he willed himself to relax, to calm down. The Faunus girl seemed troubled and that troublesome white-hair was only curious as to what was bothering her. They were merely talking. Being friendly. Introducing themselves to one another. That's right. That's all it was. No one needed his aid.

Eyes snapping from the white-hair to the cloaked Faunus, his chest rose and fell as he silently sighed, exasperated. Looking at the female Faunus, he noticed that her face underneath her hood was rather... red. Was she okay? Leaning over slightly so that his face was closer to her's, with respect to her personal space, he tried to get a better look. It was most definitely very red. Had she gotten a fever? Frowning, his eyes stared at hers, asking a silent question.

"Are you okay?"

If she said 'No', Kuhaku would be quick to straighten out the white-hair if he did anything to her or was guilty of harassing her. He would not tolerate anyone demonstrating prejudice towards his own.

When Michelle saw him relax, she relaxed as well. It was going to be fine after all, and there was no need for any violence. As she lowered her hands, he seemed to pause and stare at her. Michelle prayed that it was not what she thought it was, but then he leaned over to look under her hood. Crap, he noticed!, Michelle silently thought as she felt her face growing insanely warm, a small drop of sweat slowly growing on the side of her face. She turned away, embarrassed, but not before catching the look of concern on his face. "I-I'm fine, I'm perfectly fine," Michelle said, making an effort not to stutter.

Just calm down, Michelle, it's only a boy, Michelle silently thought, trying to calm herself down. Michelle made occasional quick glances at him, thinking about how well he looked and what a strong presence he had, then attempted to shut out those thoughts as they were definitely not helping her current situation, and were just helping to maintain her strong blush on her face. She longed for a tree to climb or something, just some way to get away from where she currently was. She cleared her throat, then turned back to the Tiger Faunus boy and said, "I-I'm Michelle," extending her hand, which was trembling slightly from nervousness.

"I-I'm fine, I'm perfectly fine," she responded to his look of concern as she looked away for whatever reason.

Good, then. Kuhaku wouldn't have to resort to violent ways. As he backed away from the Faunus girl, he tilted his head slightly. Curiously, she kept giving him sidelong glances. Was there something wrong? Was there a bit of food left over on his face? Blinking, he looked down at himself and his hands to make sure. No, he didn't seem to have left a mess. He always had impeccable table manners. Then... what was it? The girl then cleared her throat, breaking his train of thought. Looking back up at her, he resumed his direct eye contact.

"I-I'm Michelle," she introduced herself, extending an oddly trembling hand to shake.
"How polite" he thought.
About to reach for her hand, he stopped himself.
Looking down at his menacing gauntlets, he figured it would be rude to return the lady's handshake with his weapons on.
Grabbing the sides of his gauntlets, he pressed some hidden mechanism and something audibly clicked as his weapons unlocked.
Removing them, he then attached them to his sides on his belt. Reaching up towards his face, he did the same for his mask.
Smiling, he took her hand with his own bandaged one and gently shook it.
"I'm Kuhaku. Kuhaku Kuroshi. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Michelle."

He always was a sucker for manners, even if he was ironically rude most of the time to other people. Thankfully, his parents had raised him to be a gentleman towards women and to be respectful of them. So, having encountered a courteous Faunus girl, it was enough to eek out quite a lengthy response from him. He only hoped the white-haired human boy would leave them alone as they exchanged pleasantries.

Khalis watched as the the boy came towards him with malicious intent, but it didn't bother him much, rather it intrigued him even more. Now, what will she do? He thought, and no sooner did the thought occur, Michelle had stood between them, playing peacekeeper, then explained the situation. Shit is going down, all right. Wonderful! He then simply leaned against the tree, watching the two with a faint smile, yet distant eyes. He knew that if his presence bothered them, it could ruin things, but the two seemed quite occupied, so there didn't seem to be a need. He would stay and watch for a while; something lovely was happening, and Khalis didn't want to miss any of it.

Although he predicted it, it still surprised him when newly introduced Kuhaku disarmed his weapons and removed his mask. The two were definitely warming up to each other. It must've been the Faunus connection the two had. The Faunus are indeed mistreated in this day, which is a shame and is something that he couldn't completely understand. But he knew enough of human nature to assume why such differences brought on such strife between Human and Fauni. Khalis made sure not make any sort of movement or sound, something that was his specialty. Being of no influence to the world. Being one with the surroundings. Being a ghost. Being nothing.

Kuhaku still seemed bothered by his presence, so he had to be sure to at least give them some solitude. The next time he looked over at Khalis, he would give him a friendly smile, then put a finger over his mouth, as if he were silencing Kuhaku. Then he would activate his Semblance and move through the tree, freezing the surface as he passed through it. On the other side, he would lean back, gaze skywards, eavesdropping on the two. His leaning eventually slouched into a sitting position. He didn't have nay ill intentions for the two, only wishing to observe. It was hard to find a scene like this nowadays, and was something Khalis had always admired. He waited silently for the two to continue.

Michelle smiled as they shook hands, although it was a bit forced as she was still was nervous and shy towards Kuhaku. She was glad the situation was resolved peacefully, but now she wanted nothing more than to be able to calm down and get her emotions in check. Unfortunately for her, that was proving to be impossible around Kuhaku, and she could barely maintain eye contact with him before looking down to avoid eye contact.

"I uh, I, I..." Michelle trailed off, unsure how to continue. "Ihavetogodosomethingbye," Michelle blurted out quickly before dashing away as quickly as she could, desperate to escape. When she was sure she lost them, she leaned against a wall and took deep breaths. It's OK, calm down now Michelle, it's over, just relax, Michelle thought as she performed the breathing techniques that helped slow down her heartbeat when she needed to make accurate shots. She slid down to the ground and adjusted the strap on her sniper rifle so she could hug it for comfort.

Kael saw many different fruits inside the garden--blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapes, and more--which he gathered for his use. He began to stuff his pockets, filling them to the brim. Before he would crush his leaf, he moved it to his mouth, biting down on it gently. Done with his search, he was about to turn to go to the dorm rooms, wherever they are, when he saw a small group gathered around a tree. One of the figures was the hooded figure who had saved him from the feathery menaces, but it was really a she. He was about to run up to thank her again, when he saw another person, one dressed in a tight fitting clothing with a mask on. He pulled it off when talking to the girl, ignoring the white haired student.

Kael decided to simply move on, as he had his snacks when he remembered his food as he crushed some of it in his pockets as he moved. Grimacing at the waste, he began to follow the girl as she ran away from the two. Kael wondered upon what the other two said to scare her away.

She had been certain that no one would take her offer, but then Gerald took a leg and dug into it, though with considerably-less relish than she. Huh, that was something. Coral smiled her wide toothy grin before tossing the whole chicken over to him. One wouldn’t be enough for both of their appetites, after all. “Oh, eat up, then. More where that came from,” she explained, skewering another fowl that was running around randomly. Summon chicken, what a useful semblance. You’d never be hungry, she supposed.

This Gerald fellow was interesting. He was about as courteous as she with turtle lady, and hadn’t flinched at all at her eccentricities so far; by now, most people would have at least given her some sort of horrified expression, but he took it all in stride: very impressive for a human. Coral made a mental note that he was one of the good ones.

Esther, on the other hand… something was obviously wrong with her. Clumsy, perhaps not too smart, and afraid of chickens? Very strange. At least it kind of made sense, in a way. “Yeah, I guess that chickens can be kinda scary. They could be pecking out your eyes and scratching the skin from your bones, I guess? Little terror machines of death, yep.” Well, no, she hadn’t actually convinced herself at all, but there was no harm in agreeing… though maybe there was some in agreeing so vividly.

But if she didn’t give someone nightmares that night, she would be slacking. Had to meet quota, after all.

“Sooooooooo,” she said, letting it trail off as she glanced around for something to do. “Shall we go get good seats for the thingy? Though I guess you want food since you don’t like chicken?”

Without any need to hide form them, Khalis was a little disappointed. The two were on a roll with things, but her shyness cut it brief. Looking disheartened, Khalis walked over to Kuhaku, eyes still on where she escaped to. "I'm sorry, it was probably my fault. I only wished to observe." He chuckled before saying with an honest smile "It was quite lovely though. I'm honestly envious of the bond you two have already." As he walked by Kuhaku, he placed his hand on his shoulder, saying "Good luck. I won't bother you anymore today after this." and left. He was certain that his newest friend, or rather enemy, wouldn't let him get off so easily, but even Khalis had a hint of uncertainty. Nothing could be said for sure considering the effect Michelle might've had on him.

Leaving his presence completely, Khalis walked through the halls to where the speech was being given. His mind wandered to those two, and their almost instantaneous friendship. It might deepen into something more. The thought brought a smile to his expression as he gazed skywards, yet his eyes were distant and rather sad. "Must be nice..." he muttered with a sigh. He continued onwards, wondering how the two, and anyone else in the academy, would advance in terms of relations.

He looked up to keep an eye on the white-hair to make sure he wasn't up to any mischief. As he did, he saw the boy smile and bring a finger up to his lips. Was that a gesture that he would be quiet or was it aimed towards him? Before he could think of the gesture's potential meaning, the white-hair then vanished through the tree. A layer of ice left behind. Did the human think he was a fool? Black ears twitching and nose sniffing, he knew that the boy was still nearby. Whatever. Maybe the prior gesture was a sign he would leave them be. As he then resumed eye contact with Michelle, or at least tried to. She kept breaking away to look at the ground or elsewhere. It was a little annoying, to be honest. Was she sure that she was okay?

""I uh, I, I..." she stuttered out.
"Ihavetogodosomethingbye," she blurted out as she then dashed past him.

He blinked, unsure of what just happened. Kuhaku turned to watch as Michelle suddenly ran off, saying she had to go do something. Raising an eyebrow, he tilted his head curiously. What an odd girl. As she left his sight, the white-haired boy came up to his side. He suppressed a sigh and the urge to roll his eyes. His expression hardening, he glanced at the human boy from the side. What was he up to now?

"I'm sorry, it was probably my fault. I only wished to observe." the boy chuckled.
"Nosy." Kuhaku mentally responded.
Smiling, the boy continued.
"It was quite lovely though. I'm honestly envious of the bond you two have already."
Bond? What bond?

As the boy started to walk away, he placed his hand on Kuhaku's shoulder. Sending an electric jolt of revulsion through his spine and causing his tail to twitch. That was the second time today that someone physically touched him. He had half a mind to bite off the boy's hand.

"Good luck. I won't bother you anymore today after this."
"That's unfortunate, just for today?"
What did he mean by wishing him 'good luck'?
Whatever, at least the boy voiced a promise to leave him alone. If only for just today.
As the boy walked away, Kuhaku thought "Good riddance."

Sighing again, Kuhaku returned his mask to his face. As the mask clicked and locked, Kuhaku pulled out his scroll to check the time. Great. Time had flown by rather quickly from all of this. Well, there goes his nap. Irritated again, he decided to just head back to the main building to standby for the student orientation. Shoving his bandaged hands into his gauntlets, they also mechanically clicked a few times as they secured themselves to his arms. Clenching and unclenching his fists to make sure they fit correctly, he then began to stroll back to Beacon. His ears twitching and tail swaying restlessly, he mulled over the white-haired boy's words.

What did he mean by wishing him luck? What bond did he speak of?

Francesca was enjoying her food enough. A good balance of meat and vegetables was always a good meal to eat. She forked a part of her salad and then ate it. Her companion was looking frustrated though. "Animals." She said. What is she talking about? Francesca wondered as she poked at her greens some more. She used the word, 'Animals', against faunus only for the most part. Perhaps that is how Schwarz meant it?

Oh well. She continued to think. The next item to work on was a bit of soup. It was nice and delicious. She had some hopes at least of the food being good here. It was so much better than the slope from her old school and enough so to have to reemphasize it to herself. A nice. . . Stocky taste. In a good way at least. "Yummy." Francesca mumbled to herself.

Schwarz, meanwhile, was busy making a giant ruckus. Francesca was about to bring her spoon up to her mouth when Schwarz torn out something from the newspaper and put it in her pocket. The soup slowly spilled off her spoon and back into the soup bowl. Staring at Schwarz now, Francesca speaks up, "Any reason you're spazzing out? It's like you've seen an Ursa tear apart two Beowolves." A rather unbefitting analogy probably but it probably got her point across. "Not that I really care all too much. . ." No need to sound too forward.

Looking up from the paper, Schwarz sighed. Great, she was annoying her only company. Way to go. She slid the paper across opened at the page describing the incident with the White Fang. "Sorry. It's just... sometimes I feel like people of all races are a bunch of idiots." she explained, tapping the concerned header with her index finger, "These kings among them. Why did they go and attack their own? I thought they wanted the Faunus to have better place, but instead they just seem to have degenerated into wanting all the Humans gone, and everyone wanting a peaceful solution with them." she ranted.

"I can't say I blame the Faunus for being unhappy," You have no idea how. Schwarz thought, but still deliberately avoided any definite terms like 'we', "And they can't forgive the humans. Meanwhile the Humans can't forget the war, and now the terrorists. That makes more Humans growing weary of the Faunus again and before you know it there's going to be another war. It's just a circle of hatred that won't end until we all learn to forgive. Because if we don't, then when we're done killing each other, the Grimm will swoop in and finish off what's left of either of us." she finished, feeling a bit better now that she was able to vent her anger out.

"These kings among them. Why did they go and attack their own? I thought they wanted the Faunus to have better place, but instead they just seem to have degenerated into wanting all the Humans gone, and everyone wanting a peaceful solution with them." Schwarz continued on and on. Francesca didn't think she'd stop, so she just continued eating her food while she listened to the other girl. "I can't say I blame the Faunus for being unhappy." She continued on and on again. She was a very long winded girl. . . Almost annoyingly so, but she eventually stopped.

"Faunus are about as trustworthy as humans. They'll just stab you in the back in the end. You always have to be on guard," Francesca retaliated. "I can't say I blame them for being unhappy either. That, however, doesn't excuse violent actions they, the White Fang, or anyone affiliated have committed." She took a breath and put her spoon down. "We don't need to learn to forgive, just tolerate that we are near some. . . Thing. . . That we cannot stand. Tolerate and be on guard. It doesn't always work, but it's easier than forgiveness." She let out a rare chuckle, "Heh. Regardless of what we do, there will be fighting because there are extremists on both sides that won't give way to either of our thoughts."

On to the matter of the Grimm she looked dead into Schwarz's eyes. "With the Grimm. . . Even if society decimates itself, we will be there to fight the those things. That's what Hunters and Huntress' do. If we're here for Fame, Wealth, Glory, Action. . . Even if we're here for the good of society, our job is to hold off the Grimm and fight for the people. Probably." Her view went back to her food, "That's what the ideal situation is anyhow. Feel free to forget I said anything." Her soup then had a spoon dip into it and then that spoon went up to her mouth.

Kuhaku had re-entered the main building to little event, much to his satisfaction. Looking around, he then pulled out his Scroll to locate the Assembly Hall, where supposedly the Headmaster's Address would be held. Looking at the map and directions, his lips curled into a hidden smile as he admired the little device. It's quickly become quite useful during his short time here at Beacon already. He was glad to have it.

Memorizing the directions, he pocketed his Scroll and crossed his arms as he headed off. As he walked, he observed the odd looks and quiet whispers as students parted to give him a wide berth. More than likely due to his fearsome appearance, he thought. Pleased, he smiled to himself again. The more who avoided him and left him alone, the better. He wasn't very social after all and didn't like people very much. Thinking about it, it was probably due to his ferocious appearance that drove Michelle away. Sad, she seemed like a nice enough and polite girl. His black tail swayed behind him happily as his mood lightened. The other Beacon students clearing the path for him.

Once inside the Assembly Hall, he looked around for a seat to take. He saw that he wasn't the first to think of arriving early, a few other students sparsely populating the Hall. Ah, well. He picked a random seat and sat down. Looking around, he decided to get a bit comfortable and leaned back in his seat. Crossing his legs, he closed his eyes and decided to try to get a quick nap in. Get a bit of rest before the Headmaster's Student Address so that he could give him his full attention. He hoped the Headmaster wasn't dry, boring and long-winded with his speech.
