Actually Abe would you be alright if I started an arc with you about how a Sazkarjhit warship might accidentally warp or suffer a slipstream space fault and land planetside or would you like to be introduced to things more slowly?

In all honesty, I am fair game to anyone. Those with good, honest intentions, or those who merely wish to conquer. The choice is theirs to make. One could chose to land a small science party, or land a warship. They could land in the middle of the capital, or, choose to land in the unexplored ruins of The City of the Gods.

I am up for anything. I leave the decisions to you more advanced civilizations as to what shall happen to the Nouvellians.

My plan is to slowly introduce you to technology a few decades ahead, and when my faction feels you are finally ready, they will offer you autonomous state status under them.

Basically means you I take control of your diplomacy and such, you have to allow their version of the bill of rights to be applied to your citizens, and your military will serve under mines but you retain most internal governance and you are protected by my military and usually get vast amounts of resources to assist with your projects.

If that is the wish of your leaders, then so shall it be. I will react to all IC interactions as the Nouvellians would.

So, think of yourselves as Imperialist Europe, and myself, as Africa, Asia, South America, India, etc. I am at the mercy of the decisions of your races. If the Ethereals decided that planet Nouvelle is of interest to them, then so be it. If the Eternal Union wishes to institute such a coupling with the people of Nouvelle, then that is at your discretion as how to achieve such.

I will give you all some food for thought. The city of the Gods, to the northern pole of my planet, is a rich cultural history of the planet. It in a sense, describes the very beginning of time for the people of Nouvelle. How they got there, who brought them there, why, and so on. Think along the lines of Stargate, or ancient Egypt with the hieroglyphics. The Nouvellians are from Earth, but from a long time past. The were once humans, but, as time progressed, they evolved into a divergent species. The "Gods" who brought them here, are gone, or, at least not known yet. They took these primitive humans from times past, and brought them to far off world to do what they needed. Be it science, slave labor, or perhaps wishing to spread life about the galaxy.
You as the other players, have the opportunity to develop how you see fit to use this. Perhaps you wish to convince the people of Nouvelle you are the Gods. Or, that the Gods have abandoned us, and you are here to uplift us into the knowledge of the future. You decided if the ancient hieroglyphs depict your people, or something different all together. Perhaps you wish to change these glyphs to better suit your needs and ambitions, the choice is yours, and my reaction will be true and honest, based off of whatever comes my way, good or bad.

I am excited. Lord Duck, and all other players, you do not need my permission to go ahead with your plans, simply put forth IC'ly, and we shall see where it leads us.

NO! The United Terran Federation will foolishly throw away the entirety of humanity to protect them!

Completely perfect plan! Nothing can go wrong!

I'ma just say hello and try to communicate, fail, and then just walk about. Maybe later, explore some ruins. If somebody starts shooting, whatever. If somebody starts shooting at them, death and destruction upon thee who fired.

Sukui your latest post is just no.

That is power-playing and godmodding. How the hell does one person have tentacles capable of crushing ships, and at that stealing computer information from a completely foreign computer system?

Plus I have the feeling these weren't ever mentioned in your app.

Edit:Nope, they weren't.

Some, not all, as it noted.

And i never even mentioned what information did they stole; it is up to you what did they steal. It was the same back then in Star Empires, where my previous races stealing information from you turned out to be less than useful.

Even then i'm being generous with the casualties; i thought of having it millions of people, but figured an angry response in the OOC.

Its still a OP ability regardless. Those tenetacles somehow have the ability to, as you said, crush a entire ship. Despite shielding and armor. Which is also further insane as no one sentient being should have the power to crush 100s of freaking ships at one time. Not even my immortals are that powerful.

And no, your still not getting into my computer systems. I still stand by my position on it being difficult/near impossible to access foreign computer systems.

To be fair, no one is going to list every piece of military and non-military technology in their nation sheet.

I know I didn't. Not only would that take an ungodly amount of time to do, but why would I display all of my offensive and defensive technologies for all to see?

As for the computer system bit, hacking and such in SciFi NRPs is almost always portrayed poorly. The biggest offender is how writers present computer break-ins of military-grade hardware/software as something that can be done in mere seconds. Which is ridiculous.

Well no, but a being with the ability to produce a giant tentacle capable of near instally crushing a fully-shielded, heavily armored, large ship and then gather information from a completely foreign system is still OP and godmod. At most minimum such a thing should have been approved by the GM.

And at that you think after a tentacle somehow crushed a entire ship you think the fleet would respond and crush them accordly. And it crushed 100s of ships, which theres a bit over a 100 ships around New Condia right now, so all of my ships are dead and a majority of New Condia is dead. It's only a year old colony, so it has a few million people on it.

So Sukui single handly destroyed all of New Condia in one post.

You once instantly translated foreign languages out of thin air, so what's wrong with instantly knowing a foreign computer system and knowing how to download all of its data? It really is not any different at all.

Agreed. Sadly, it seems some people do not know how to distinguish OOC knowledge from IC knowledge
