@ Maxwell: How dare you! Just kidding, though I'm curious as to what gave you that impression. Unless I'm grossly misinterpreting things, it seems like most of us are just interested in what people thought of our first posts. Personally, I feel like I'm great at conveying information, but I struggle a little bit when it comes to writing tracts of descriptive text. I'm more than willing to accept feedback, opinions, and suggestions on any aspect of my writing. It may just be a hobby but it's something I enjoy doing. Something I wouldn't mind getting better at. While I know this thread isn't a composition class, I don't see anything wrong with seeking out the opinions of other writers to see what we could do to improve. Obviously, if you don't ask for feedback then it shouldn't be given unless you're actively damaging the story. Again, this is my take on it and maybe I'm being incredibly naive. I don't claim to speak for everyone or anything crazy like that. Anyways, I also wanted to let you know I'll probably manage a post or two every week so feel free to fling Riven into the fire. Although, I will say, the situation she's in is a bit on the dire side already.
@ Acrolith and Nemasaire: Let's hear these ideas! I was thinking about this little situation and, honestly, Taula is probably closest to Riven right now. She's actually in the moat with her, I believe. Sir is still on the battlements. Again, I'm open to either character assisting the Royal Protector.
