With a diverse field of studies, Chiharu University welcomes all students from every walk of life, and provides roughly several trillion yen per year in scholarships to those who are less advantaged. Large enough to be considered a prefecture in and of itself, it operates and runs a multitude of businesses, many of which operate on 24 hour basis to accommodate the student lifestyle of pulling all-nighters to finish what could be done easily if the work was spread out properly.

The cost of attending Chiharu University varies from person to person. Socio-economic standing is considered when distributing scholarships. High school students are able to take classes at C.U. based on the course instructor’s whim. All students attending C.U. are required to live on campus in a co-ed hall which is shared among ten people. Each hall is managed by a Livings Adviser.

All resources are available physically and electronically, although physical copies require a bit of work to find and request.

Academically, there are classes available for any subject that students are interested in. To teach at C.U. you must a C.U. certified teaching license. The process to obtain this license includes a nine month crash course, two diagnostic tests and two trial lessons in a real classroom, before finally being presented with a rigorous and unforgiving final exam that lasts for three hours. At the end of this course, all teachers find their true teaching style and the Board of Directors evaluate its use and effectiveness in the classroom.

Socially, there are a vast array of events in University City should you have time from your studies. Every other week the University holds special events meant to strengthen social bonds and help you meet new people.

Name: Akimoto Ren
Age: 19
Personality: Sometimes, you must ask yourself. If you were surrounded by three sisters of varying ages, each of them not actually blood-related, and each of them beautiful in their own way, would you go out of your way to try and get a piece of dat ass? After all, you’d have to be a pathetic, naïve cherry boy or a homosexual NOT to do so, right? Fortunately, Akimoto Ren, dubbed by his high school classmates as ‘King of Nii-chans’, is neither. Unlike his friends though, he knows of the more dangerous side of his sisters.

The youngest, Miyu, is an elementary school girl who’s a culinary master. After a few years of watching her callously dice cucumbers into small cubes, he realized that, no, it’s both illegal and stupid to do so.

The middle sister, Tsukino, is in her last year of high school, a girl gifted with delicate hands. After a few years of being tossed around by her black belt-level judo skills, he realized that, no, he didn’t actually have to be a protective big brother. Any Chiharu delinquents that tried picking her up would just get their heads rammed through the asphalt.

The oldest sister, Haruna, had just recently graduated from a police academy, and is currently hospitalized due to an incident that she refuses to talk about. You’d have to be a special type of scumbag to go after someone who’s already injured, really.

And Ren isn’t a scumbag. He isn’t much of anything, really. A jack-of-all-trades with no particular interest in anything, he pursues a General Arts degree, unsure of where he would go after he graduates from Chiharu and becomes overqualified for part-time jobs. A social person who speaks his mind easily and fearlessly, he takes on every day with no plan in mind, seeing life as a spontaneous affair. He avoids thinking about what the future holds, and sticks with present goals, which has severely damaged his grades. Pretty terrible at planning out anything, Ren enjoys doing activities that allow him to forget about the wider scope of the world. He’s an athlete and an avid consumer of media, but isn’t talented in any of those things. The breadth of his skill set is enormous, but he lacks depth in any one of them, as he never stays interested in them long enough to gain any depth. A shallow, dispassionate person, Ren is not someone that you should consider a long-term relationship with.

History: The Akimoto lineage was not one that was created through a ‘pure’ romance, nor was it created through the bonding of noble families. It is an accumulation of ‘talent’, a family tree composed of remarkable individuals that are adopted into the branch families, before being married off to the main families. With many of their members holding great financial, politicial, or military power, the Akimoto family could be considered one of the most influential clans in Japan, all with the intent of selectively breeding the perfect human.

It was in this situation that Ren, Miyu, Haruna, and Tsukino were adopted. Each had no connection with the other, outside of the fact that they all possessed a certain talent that made them ‘shine’ more than the others. Miyu was a good cook, Tsukino was a good artist, Haruna was a talented in martial arts, and Ren was capable of doing anything he put his mind to. Every one of them were orphaned for one reason or the other, and every one of them were capable of shedding such a dark past early on. Ren didn’t remember his parents, but he didn’t feel much of a need to find them as well.

He was at the age of six when he was adopted, and quickly adapted to the rigors of Chiharu Elementary. With the confidence of having rich parents and the ability to easily understand anything that was thrown at him, he quickly became one of the popular kids, decked out in the coolest bicycles and holding the most expensive pudding. He got cavities every Valentine’s Day from the amount of chocolate he received, and Ren was literally the envy of every other male student in his class.

Middle school was passed in a similar fasion, except for the fact that he was now pestered by males as well, who had just began to feel the awkwardness of puberty and realized how nice girls were. Surrounded by two sisters as he was, there were questions shot at him regarding Tsukino and Haruna on an almost daily basis. He was beginning to tire of how much he stood out at that point, and Ren eventually got himself a pair of headphones, so he can avoid conversations more easily.

High school in Chiharu was the period in which he tried his best to change his image, to cast off the shadow of the Akimoto name. He became much more of a delinquent, going to school with an improperly-worn uniform and glaring daggers at anyone that tried to get friendly with him. Neglecting his grades and only doing enough to pass, Ren strode through school causing trouble, even managing to steal the position of the girl’s kendo team manager from another. Then he brought that team up to first place in the nationals, and he was praised for it, his academic misconduct overlooked in light of those results. Yet, he was praised as one of the Akimoto family, as if something like this was only to be expected. And it was at the last year of high school that he gave up trying to surpass the connotations of that name.

In university, he realized that he had nothing, and he thought hard about that. He thought hard about that for a long time.

Might add more to the personality when I think of it. But in essence, it's finishes.



Name: Shadouu Iruda

Chuunibyou Alias: Herald of Susanoo: The Cormorant of Shadows - He believes he was the child of Susanoo and Kushinadahime in a past life. Follows through with his deity's orders and wills.

Age: 18

Personality:
Externally, Shadouu is a very energetic individual. Though he may not be sociable, he has a zeal surrounding him which attracts those around him. It’s like nothing could rain on his parade, as if a patch of sunlight was always chauffeuring him wherever he went. Aside from his random outbursts which consist of unfollowable and imaginative speels, which most people tend to overlook. Either than that, he seems to be pretty easygoing and laid back, without questioning what others say.

History:

Shadouu was born to an ordinary middle-class family, being economically stable, it gave leeway to spur the boy’s childhood. As the only child of the Iruda family, his parents’ care was solely focused on their dear son, making him the apple in their eyes. Generally speaking, he led a pretty normal life, without any bumps or hurdles in his path. He attended the local primary school, and with his charismatic take on life, the child captivated a few of his classmates. Fastened between them was a newfound friendship, a quartet of toddlers, two of each gender, following their exuberant leader. Since the very ideal of homework was nonexistent youthful lifestyle, and any technology a primary schooler could utilize was yet to take off, the band of children had to find some way to fill their time. Before minds are tainted with logic and rationality, a very common practice was known as Make Believe. A young and creative mind can take a kid anywhere, and the quartet put their colorful thinking to good use. The four bested great beasts, saved kingdoms, conquered universes- it was as if they could accomplish anything. And at the very heart of it was Shadouu, always the one to motivate and inspire his friends to continue their dreams.

The group advanced through their academic careers, retaining their unbreakable bonds. Given their past, they all thrived in theatrics. Shadouu wasn’t too fond of the make-up which the directors would cake his face in, but as long as his friends were happy, he was contempt with bearing the vexation. No matter how silly or far-fetched the plot was, the boy delved into his role more than any other cast member. It was as if he had been born to act, to put on a face which wasn’t his and mimic it with flawlessness. With a natural tenacity for it, he and his friends continued their virtues up until middle school.

Halfway through the sect of his school life, Shadouu began to contract what was known as Chuunibyou. It wasn’t an illness or anything, though the way people described it sure made it sound like something of the sort. To be more specific, an Evil Eye variant. On the brink of what he attributed himself to be delusional, he tried his best to keep it a secret from his friends. And a secret it remained, never to be exchanged from his conscious to theirs. If he ever had the chance, there wouldn’t be a single dubious act stopping him from revealing. But, he lost his opening, and would forever have guilt wrench at his heart. His fate was sealed whilst the group was carpooling, en route to a theater where they would partake in a performance. Not only did it take the cast a few months to master the script, but the director had been planning out every minute detail for an even longer extent. This was one of what will hopefully be many pinnacles in Shadouu’s career. But, such thinking was crushed when his mother’s car was broadsided by a commercial truck. They were both sitting in the front, meanwhile his three friends were reclined in the back row, memorizing their scripts. Since the truck had collided with the lower half of their car, the three died on impact. The SUV was nearly torn in half by the sheer force of the truck, and not much was left to fill the caskets.

Shadouu awoke a few days later, having lost an eye and received a few broken ribs in the process. His mother was the least wounded of them all, but felt responsible for the deaths of his friends, even though it was the truck driver’s fault. Sure, the company had to compensate for the losses of each family, but the elite lawyers they had at their disposal managed to bump down the amount the business was forced to disburse. Rather than accepting the death of his friends, the boy found resolve in his imagination, his chuunibyou self wielding weapons coined after the trio who were deceased.

To say the least, his career in theatrics has been discontinued. Through methods of his own, he managed to purely focus on his studies, now that he was no longer bound by the art of theater. His academic incline brought him to the fourth place spot within his city, though he brushed off such malice and continued to coast through the world his mind portrayed. Even though he had given up on his dreams, he still observed plays put on by others. Whether he was trying to find reconciliation in the past, or regain what he had left behind, he was unable to deduce what his ulterior motive was. A university scout who had attended a multitude of the school's performances struck up a conversation with the boy. Navigating through Shadouu's difficult way of speaking, the man invited the student to attend such a prestigious school. Given his academic accomplishments, the boy graciously accepted the scholarship.

(Imaginary) Weapons:

Kusanagi no Tsurugu - Originally known as the Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven, it was later renamed by popular choice as Grass Cutting Sword. The weapon was used to slay Yamata no Orochi. Shadouu wields it with finesse.

Shield of Joseph of Arimathea - The shield of Joseph, which was written to have been carried by three followers. Shadouu claims that it protects him from most illnesses, but of course, this is just a figment of his mind. It doesn't do anything to protect himself from sickness. It has been preached that the shield absorbs all negative thoughts or emotions, thus leaving a joyous attitude in consistency. As for the shield's background, the fact that a trio was known for hauling it around could be a reference to a certain group of friends who have passed on.

Name: Ami Yukimura
    Age: 20
   
Personality: As of now, she gives off the impression of being a calm, and beautiful woman. Having been through most of her schooling by now she likes to feel that anyone can come to her with problems as an “Onee-san”. That said, she also happens to swing for the other team though technically it could be said it’s for both teams? Ehh, as long as it’s cute it works.

While she is more calm on the outside, it’s just a shell for what she use to be. . . A rather thick shell at times, not so at other times. She has a stern hatred for those with perverted intent, reserving a special piece of her fist for those people. When one she befriended or loves is in trouble she has another piece of her fist for those who trouble them. Annoying things are also annoying.

Although she has yet to “fall in love”, her motto is “Love is Justice”. Now, to set things straight, attraction and love are two different concepts. Plenty has she been attracted to someone, but never has she fallen in love.

She takes pride though. Pride in her beauty, her volumptuous body. . . Her physical strength. . . In fact, most anything she is or owns she takes pride in. Being it an item or. . . Possibly a person in the future. Criticism is a different story however when it comes to her writings.

 
History: Her mother is half-French. In her childhood she was a rather average schoolgirl. Boys were icky and especially that one stereotypical group that did stereotypical ‘boy’ things. These boys soon learned not to mess with her too much.

In middle school, already having violent tendencies, she fell in with the wrong crowd and became a Yankee-Girl. At first she was just an underling character, destined to fight battles she didn’t choose, albeit supported. Her behaviors changed from a caring young girl to a rebellious, violent teenager. Her hair, which was already lighter than average, was then bleached to give more of the delinquent schoolgirl look. And her parents. . . Really, didn’t know much more than she skipped school a lot and came home injured at times. However, by the end of middle school she moved up the ranks of Yankee-Girlhood and became one of the top figures of the group.

Still, even as a delinquent she strived to get decent enough grades to not have the teachers say anything to her on that note. She ended up being one of the more tactically prepared members by far which is what earned her position on the high ranks of a schoolgirl organized Yankee-group. As silly as that seems. By the beginning of high school, however, her parents witnessed first person why exactly she would come home hurt. It was her in the middle of a fight with some girls from another school. Oddly enough she was winning until one of the girls landed a cheap shot on her while she was distracted by her parents. The others ran off leaving her there, alone, with her parents. The didn’t scold her, but made a compromise instead. If she studied enough and made it into Chiharu University, they would forgive her. If she didn’t make it, considering her efforts they would either kick her out, or allow her to stay, but work hard if she did.

Except for her hair, she calmed down for the rest of high school unless throughly provoked. In having to find out things to entertain herself when she wasn’t studying, she found novels, light novels, and manga a great compromise. On the note of studying, she didn’t find it too hard as she had at least been keeping up with class.

Now, in her second year, she joined the Literature club. Most of them knew she was an ex-Yankee girl and accepted her because they were afraid she would do something to them. She joined the conversation somewhat rockily at first but it came more naturally as it went on. At this point she had her more rough Yankee appearance. One of the more fashionable club members then showed her how she could look more beautiful. The girl then moved away not long after due to her “father’s work”.

Slightly saddened by this, she continued on now understanding how she can both look good, and make herself better by getting rid of her rough image into a more cut diamond. It was of course gradual and within time she came to appreciate literature more and more as well. By time it came to be her senior year of High School she had normal friends and decided on her major for school, Writing. Luckily, she made it into Chiharu University. Now in her junior year at Chiharu, she has decided to take a certain fantasy class for the heck of it.

Kazuki stands at 5’ 10 and weighs 160 lbs. Her figure is modest and skin color, a ghostly white.

Personality
To say she has a terrifying and commanding presence despite her loose lips and deceptively frail figure would be a fair way to sum up not only Kazuki’s personality, but her approach to life. She does not live to control or command those around her, but should she so desire, she can easily conquer those with a weak will or constitution. Plagued with destructive habits and an unusual disinterest in life, she tends to associate herself with the less fortunate or those who have a lower standing in society. She believes true success has to do with the mind, that meritocracy stands above all else, and that cockiness should be dealt with the monstrosity known as despair and failure.

She loves to eat and play any sort of games. She doesn’t mind fooling around and wasting time as long as she enjoys the company of those she’s with.

History
By the time she left high school, Oshita Kazuki was a name that was respected by all those who know it. Be it basketball, soccer, or volleyball, she was an individual that never lost in anything she took seriously. She was born to dominate, someone that was trained to run down any obstacle that stood before her. Every team she was on made it to Nationals, whether they won or not varied from case to case. There was one thing that stood true throughout, however, it was always those who were considered the worse players in terms of skill and talent that succeeded when playing with Kazuki.

Then poof, she disappeared from the sports scene just as quickly as she had appeared. The name Oshita Kazuki can only be found in old newspaper clippings and next to the high school sports’ records that she still holds.

Name: Indigo Q'loer
Age: 18

Personality:

Prefers to be the one in control, he hates to watch something done obviously wrong. He is a reasonable person, understanding most mistakes, but he can definitely tell when it was not a mistake, but done on purpose. Indigo goes by both Indigo and Indy, either one, he does not care. He is a very smart person, quick thinking and witty. Many times has he come up with a good argument to prove an inferior wrong. Indigo likes company and hates when he is the only one around. Even more so when he is the only smart one around.

History:

Indigo was born in America by an Italian couple with distant descendants from Arabia. Yeah, it's a pretty crazy background. He gets his brains from his father, a scientist who studies illnesses and viruses to create cures for them. No luck so far, but he's come extremely close before. He gets his looks from his mother. She is very good looking, especially when she was younger. As for Indigo, he's very handsome and dapper. He always wears a nice sweater or button-up shirt with a tie. Having had a bad experience in America with dressing in "street clothes", he decided over dressing was better than not.

Indigo moved to Japan when he was seventeen because his father had received an incredible science opportunity.. Being new to Japan and all, still not quite familiar with the way of life, he dodges most times he could get lost and confused. He doesn't like talking to people he deems idiotic, and it's hard to tell when your in an unfamiliar country. He enjoys to sit at his window, though, and watch what's going on outside. Often he'll sit with a good book and periodically peek out the window.

Upon arrival, he heard of a nearby university called Chiharu. He was excited about this news, he could actually get a good education. He hoped, anyway. Indigo enlisted and after a short while of anxiety, he was accepted. This was the best news since he arrived in Japan. Dress code and all, this made him the happiest person in the world. On his way there to get a good look at the place, he learned he wasn't the only one. He got quite a lot of admiring looks, which was odd to him, but he certainly did not object.

Being new to Japan, he figured he wouldn't make many friends, not to mention learn to get around, but he was wrong shortly after he arrived. He met a young man, Shourei Yang, who quickly became a friend of Indy's. It was nice to have a friend to help you out in a place unknown to him, and was quickly familiar with the local places. Every now and then they would see the other and always wound up teaching each other something. Indigo liked to learn more about what was going on and such, so Shourei taught him about that, and Indigo told about his own country of Italy. Indy liked to listen to Shourei, as he told and taught many interesting things about things in general.

Personality:
Not an outgoing guy, who is on his laptop or phone a lot. Always has an earphone in his ear unless he really is suppose to listen to the teacher, but even so, probably daydreaming or something. Though not really one to speak out, when he does speak he has a tendency to talk strange in an archaic way, or just talk a lot. Not really "Shy", but doesn't go out of his way to meet people, that's for certain.
History: Shourei is half Japanese, half Hmong, with his mother as his Japanese half. He does his best to hide his Hmong hetitage feeling that it doesn't fit well into Japan and he doesn't want to ostracize himself from the community for being of mixed heritage. Aside from that, Shourei's history is fairly bland. He did a bit of karate as kid, quit it to join a baseball team, but spent nearly all his free time playing games on his computer. He visited Thailand once and through various contrived circumstances, was somehow mistaken as the owner of a brothel under investigation for rebelling against the King of Thailand. He left before things got too out of hand.

One notable thing about Shourei isn't so much about him, but more about a friend of his. A foreigner to these lands by the name of Indigo Q'loer. An Italian American who came to Japan with his father, the two young men chanced upon each other one day and quickly hit off as friends. Shourei showed Indigo around the city and sights, and Indigo was an avid listener. Afterwards the two would occasionally see each other again and hang out, often teaching each other things or participating in events together. Coincidentally, both of the young men had plans to attend Chiharu University. It was very exciting for Shourei, knowing that he won't be completely alone once he gets there.

Nowadays Shourei is a beholder of ass and other things that catch his eye. He occasionally lends a hand at his mother jewelery store to get some cash in his pocket . Is considering going into Computer Science during his time at Chiharu University, and he needs something to fill up his Credit Requirements .

Sorry it took me so long to post, I had a pretty busy few days and they were not expected.

So I've been accepted.

Name: Kurane, Kana

Age: 21

Personality: Described as a quiet and somewhat mysterious individual, Kana embraces the image without too much care. Despite a rather striking appearance, he is unremarkable to most people. Without a sense of energy or charisma that might draw others to him, Kana seems constantly in a state of calm and acceptance. When he speaks it is in a similar tone, not necessarily disinterested or cold, but certainly controlled and measured. Perhaps a bit unnaturally so, but then again most people don’t get close enough to find out if there’s a difference. Polite but straight forward, he might not be the most interesting person, but he seems reliable enough. His hobbies, if you ask, include things like gambling, even if he isn’t great at it, and a number of sports with tennis probably first.

History: If anyone was curious about one certain Kurane Kana, well they would have to get used to the feeling. Not a lot about the young man exists prior to his enrollment in Chiharu High for his senior year, three years ago. His status as a ward of the state came into effect a few years prior to that, and any information about his actual family has either been trashed or lost. His enrollment itself could be seen as slightly strange, given a lack of previous transcripts or records, but the program was known for accepting less fortunate individuals quite often, so most people wouldn’t dig too far in that direction; especially given his higher than average performance in almost every class. Still, if they’re persistent enough, some people might just find reason for concern.

If you were to ask Kana about his past, it wouldn’t be hard to get a general picture, but specifics would still essentially be non-existent. A falling out with what family he had left, his mother died soon after he was born, a few years prior led to him being under the care of the state for a few years. After he was accepted into Chiharu, they mostly provided for him while he worked off a part-time job on the side to provide a bit for himself.
