Roseia frowned at him "It's a personal reason, I'd rather tell you somewhere more private as well if I must tell you" she frowned at him and then moved to look through the blueprints and took photo on her phone that she could copy down later roughly at least so they knew their way around the place better to prevent them getting into anymore trouble.

Dennis sighed. "I guess....if you insist. Still wanna know why you're always so secretive about them. What, are they devil worshipers? That would explain all the messed up things that's been happening lately." A pause. "Sorry...I shouldn't have brought it up further....moving on then." Going back to his pile of papers, Dennis stopped when he saw an old newspaper clipping with an interesting title.

She looked over his shoulder. "This looks interesting, wonder if this might help one of those children hey wait isn't that the little girl?" she asked pointing to the picture of the doctor and the patient "Wait, the date is too far back, that's her mother then…?" she questioned glad to change the subject of of her family for the time being as she thought a moment "I wonder…we've found plenty on the two females but nothing on the father… shall we dig up what we can on him, he seems like the cause?"

Dennis nodded. “Sure; it looks like all the males in the family seem to be playing a part in this anyway.” Scanning through the newspaper clipping, Dennis was surprised to see just what had occurred. “It says here that the mother…er, I guess the girl in this case, was brain dead for about three months or so and the doctor treated her with a reverse lobotomy. He was also her grandfather…I didn’t even know you could reverse a lobotomy,” he muttered.

"Neither did I" she said and sorted through everything organising a load of clippings which were about the closure of the school and missing children "It's not just Emily that went missing, a lot of her friends did as well and her mother" she said to him. "That's weird but also quite amazing what was the medics name?" she asked as she looked through the other clippings and noticed something in common, they all had one name or person in common and it made her worry a bit.

“The medic’s name? It says here it was a….a Doctor Cheswick. Heh, like that book about the insane asylum. Charming.” Dennis grimaced as he read the man’s background and his eventual demise as well. “Says here he treated all sorts of patients, about forty or fifty. He eventually went mad supposedly, before-”

A loud bang cut off his words, and Dennis instinctively drew his gun and placed himself in front of Roseia. “Whoever’s out there, show yourself!”

Roseia turned instantly and looked towards where the bang had come from only to see another figure come out. "Not another ghost…" she muttered "I-I'm not a ghost…" he said stumbling out from where he was "I heard someone was investigating the cases to do with the school…" he said "I originally opened the case up a few years ago but we found nothing new, I was hoping you could help?" he asked them "or if I can help even" Roseia looked him up and down "Gun down Dennis, we best hear him out" she frowned.

Dennis reluctantly placed his gun away though not before directing a glare at the man who had startled them. "Don't do that again," he warned. "First, who are you? I want name, identification, anything. If you're trapped in this dimension like us, then you're obviously special to this case. Or at least the ghosts here seem to think so."

"Because I found something I shouldn't have found" he stuttered and handed them something it was incredibly old and reading through it it sounded like the hidden half of that newspaper cutting. Experimentation on children, the fact she was cured was only an experiment. "I see, anything else" "it-it wasn't just her there were hundreds of them, one of them she married and had a child with…." he said. "I see…" she thought for a moment before looking to Dennis "I think I know what might've happened"

"Wait, he married one of the test subjects?" Dennis asked in stark disbelief. Granted, it wasn't entirely impossible to imagine, but he felt on some level that this did not amount to the typical happy romantic ending that was to be expected. Listening intently to the deductions of his partner, he turned to face her now with a serious gaze. "Alright Miss Detective. Explain it to us if you will."

Roseia looked to him before she began to explain. "Emily's father… was not an experiment… he was scientist. But he was the mothers second husband. I found the marriage certificates Emily is older than the amount of time they were together. So Emily was the other experiments child before he died… i found the death certificate in the box before but wasn't sure why it was there. I think what happened is Emily's father, or step father found out and well being a scientist he grew too curious and well… the rest you can guess most likely" she said not wanting to go into details.

Dennis grimaced, putting the pieces together...or no, maybe he didn't want to. "If that's the case, then how exactly are we supposed to put Emily's spirit to rest? By the way this case is starting to sound, it may be already too late to do anything about it. We can't go back to the past, and all of the original scientists and participants of the experiment are dead. The only thing we can do...is maybe investigate the family's current and living members today."

Rosiea frowned and shook her head "Seem like it but trust me the family today holds far darker secrets than anyone would care to know" she said a solemn smile still on her lips. "I only wish I didn't know them but such is the blood of my family" she frowned hoping eh simply wouldn't ask since some of those secrets… some of theme ere just far too much for anyone to handle and maintain complete sanity.

Dennis eyed Rosiea for more seconds than he should have before finally sighing and giving in. "Fine. Whatever. Don't tell me. Not like it can help the case or anything like that. Sheesh, you make it seem like we'll summon some primordial demented god if we talk about it Roseia." As he said so, a sudden rumbling shook the small room and Dennis turned to the other man."Lead the way Doc, before more of those things show up. We've stayed here as long as we could."

Rosiea sighed hearing the sarcasticness in his words "Another time, but not now" she sighed and looked to the other man who nodded and lead the way out until they were back in the normal library which made Roseia give a relived sigh. "I do to war toe experience that again" she sighed. Once they were there she had a look through some more files and made sure there was nothing either of them had missed. "Doesn't seem to be much more?" she said. "Or rather nothing important anyway"

"Right..." Dennis cast his gaze on the man, noticing that...well, he was still there. "Is there a reason you're still following us around Doc? We got you out of that world, so maybe you shou-"

"Hmm? Oh, rightly so! Just call me Felix. See, I figured I might as well help you two on this great journey of ours, am I right? Oh, and the world we were just in? That's called the None Zone. A realm of spirits basically...so how about it Skipper?"

Dennis was silent for a few moments, glancing over at Rosiea.

"I don't see why not," he finally conceded. "But call me Skipper again, and you'll find yourself back in that None Zone of yours."

Roseia looked to the doctor, he knew more than he was letting on, far more and she could tell she'd hoped to get rid of him but for the time being she let him be. "Come on, let's get back" she sighed and headed back to the office wanting too just go to sleep after all of that chaos. "Dennis, can you get Felix out, tell him to go home I really want to sleep at the moment" she said bluntly.

"Fine by me," Dennis said with a jab of his finger. "You. Follow me. Now." He motioned for the doctor to leave, but when he did so he noticed that Felix was no longer with them. Either he had found his own way home or...that man was incredibly fast on his feet. Shrugging, Dennis took the wheel of the car and drove back to their office. Entering the small space, he placed all the files they had collected onto Roseia's desk, noticing that they had a missed call from earlier. "Weird."

"We'll listen to it in the morning I just want to get some sleep" she said to him bluntly as she settled down on one of the couches after pulling out a blanket. She then remembered she'd left some sleeping clothes here so moved and changed into them before settling down for good and curling up under the blankets hoping that anything to do with her family would be forgotten. She and no idea how she was going to explain it ll to Dennis and sighed before she let herself drift off to sleep for the time being.

On the other hand, Dennis stayed up for some time staring at the ceiling. Part of it was thinking about Roseia's enigmatic family. Part of it was wondering just who was Felix and what was his role in the case, past and present? And the other part was just his insomniac self. Sighing, he got up from the couch and eventually settled on finishing up some paper work to sate his mind. He finally did fall asleep, though it wasn't long before the sun rose at that point.
