Buster puffed his chest out, making himself appear even bulky than he already was. Seelo held his ground though, stretching his arms out from his sides, attempting to form a meager block between Buster and Rust, "Buster, back down!" Seelo yelled once more, balling up his hands into fists, his frustration rising with each passing moment. Buster leaned his head forward, trying to inch it closer to Rust's face, but made no attempt to take a combative stance, or any offensive action towards Rust.

Rust leaned her head forward as well and Rockelle grabbed onto her wing trying to pull Rust back. "Sorry! She's aggresive!" Rust flapped her wing and Rockelle stumbled back, letting go of the wing. Rust continued to growl.

Val sighed, He'd not been to interested in the socializing going on, still trying to work something out in his book, though the moment the two dragons started to fight he clicked his tongue "Nyx, Bang Bang." he said. The large Purple dragon looked up from its fish, somewhat frustrated at being interrupted, though it obliged, walking over and standing between the two dragons. "You can fly above the weather, or out race it. It is not about control, but about rising above ones baser nature. Our base nature is to slay dragons. but now we ride them." Val said before grabbing another bit of bread and swinging on to the back of Nyx. re-attaching his notepad and pencil to their common place of rest before scrambling up Nyx's neck and sitting on the dragons head. causing Nyx to snort in disapproval but not shake him off.

Within a moments notice, a new dragon joined the mix, taking a stand alongside Seelo. It seemed that the dragon was also focused on blocking the two dragons from fighting. After a moment, Seelo witnessed the dragon's rider climb onto his dragon, sitting atop it's head. Seelo once more turned back to Buster, whom seem unphased by the dragon that stood between him and Rust. The dragon definitely looked more impressive than Buster, but Buster still had a larger frame than weight, somewhat Buster obviously took far too much confidence in, "Buster, please calm down." Seelo's tone was now measured and calm, yet firm in delivery. Buster's eyes finally looked away from Rust, and down towards Seelo. The serious look on Seelo's face seemed to diminish Buster's intense aggressiveness. Buster gently relaxed his posture, going back to how it was before the incident, "Good job, Buster." Seelo said, as he lowered his arms to his side, and looking back at Rockelle and Rust, and then to the newcomer and his dragon, a small smile of relief on his face.

Rust noticed the lack of a continueing challenge a backed up slightly. Rockelle looked over at the dragon who seemingly resolved the fight. "Thanks." She said relieved. Rust sat down, her bone armour making a clicking noise against the stone floor of the arena. "So casual all of a sudden . . ." She muttered, refering to Rust.

As the moments passed, Buster grew more and more relaxed. It seemed that the excitement of food had dwindled away in Buster, and now it seemed as if sleep was the main priority. Seelo glanced up to the rider who sat on his dragon's head, before closely examining the dragon itself. After a few moments, Seelo couldn't place the species name, but he was sure he had seen it before. Seelo turned to Rockelle, with a sheepish grin, "Sorry about the interruption of introductions. I'm Seelo." Seelo introduced himself, stretching out a hand to Rockelle. During his introduction, he kept sneaking peeks at the newcomer's dragon, very impressed with it.

"Toxic Nightshade, Nightfury's brother, Replace plasma bolts with Toxin which can kill you in under 20 seconds, and double or even triple the size." Val said, now eating his second helping of bread. "I'm Valgrund by the way." He added vaulting lazily off Nyx's head and landing facing the other way. "Sure I can't do much viking like stuff, but I can beat any other dragon in the air." Nyx looked at the gathering and then walked off back to the fish. "Nyx isn't normally that grumpy, she just doesn't like having lunch interrupted."

Phantom peered up from his small meal and rolled his eyes as two nearby dragon expressed sign aggression. He was eased by the touch of his rider, adjusting his position and sitting upright. “I think I recognize that dragon. Or, that is, it’s underbelly. I’ve seen you guys flying around before.” He flashed a smile at the Nighthade’s rider. “Not bad,” he admitted. “Phantom here,” he started, gesturing to his dragon with a pat, “Is a pretty impressive flyer, though, we mostly go on leisurely flights.” The moment Bael brought attention to Phantom, the dragon made himself unseen, uncomfortable with having too many eyes take notice of him. Bael let out a small chuckle. “He’s, uh, he’s not a people person…” He looked at the Nightshade and then to his rider again. “Do we owe that earlier disturbance to you?”

"Yeah. I like flying, so does Nyx. we spend to long in the clouds. I'm working on a few toys to enable longer, continuous flights." Val nodded and looked at Phantom as best he could. "Stealth, or changewing dragon?" he guessed as the dragon disappeared. "I guess you havn't belled him yet?" He then paused at the mention of a disturbance. "Eh what desturbance? I was doing a high speed dive. then everything went quiet towards the end. I wasn't aware anything got disturbed."

"Stealth," Bael confirmed. "He's a confident flyer but usually does so on his own time. He doesn't like to be too serious when we're together." Bael placed his hand where he last saw Phantom and felt the rough scales, rubbing his palm along the side. He shook his head and scoffed. "Nothing, nothing. Great dive, man." He extended his arm out to the rider. "Baelfire," he introduced. He eyed the dark purple dragon and smiled at it. "Beautiful beast ya got there," he mentioned in acknowledgment. Bael put his hand to the back of his neck, rubbing it lightly. "Belled?" he asked, unfamiliar with the term.

"Aye, we broke our speed record, i think, I need to get a new timer. My old one exploded once I passed the higher clouds." he shook Beal's hand and smiled "Valgrund Jarlhammer. Son of Ackmund Jarlhammer. Though for the love of odin call me Val, Only my mum calls me Valgrund, and thats when I know I'm in real trouble." he laughed and nodded "She is that. but she's a trouble maker if you let her, though we fly to much for her to get up to a lot. Yes, belling. The act of putting a small bell or brightly coloured ribbon on the dragon so that in day to day affairs it is spottable. Stops people walking in to him."

With a light nudge, Phantom hesitantly revealed himself again with a low groan. "Baelfire Jorges. Fisherman's son. And same thing goes for me. Just call me Bael. Right, bud?" He smiled up at Phantom who only rolled his eyes and lowered his body, lying down beside Bael. He crossed his forelegs and rested his head atop them. Bael leaned his body against Phantom's and nodded. "I thought that's what you meant. He's an observant guy, aren'tcha?" he said, patting Phantom playfully. "He doesn't want to bump into anyone just as much as they don't want to bump into him. Besides," he paused, scratching Phantom under the chin and stroking his palm across the back of his neck, "He's my best friend, not some pet." At this, Phantom emitted a high, gleeful noise and licked Bael from his chin upwards. Bael let out a soft laughter, wiping the dragon saliva from his face with the shoulder of his shirt.

They were running late, which was absurd. Alva Seldrun was never late, unless the house had been left vacant, she now knew. Her wake up call had come in the form of a low, terrible thunder which set the shields upon the wall shaking. Oddly enough, when she'd looked outside, the skies were clear save for a handful of dragons. "Labrys, come," she demanded, finding the red dragon slumbering by the door. The thing had the audacity to sit up in the middle of an empty room and intone "Labrys?" in a raspy facsimile of her voice before looking around for what ever that word could have meant. In the dragon's mind, half an hour late meant taking the day off. To his master, such an idea was heresy. She dangled the bolt of multicolored cloth around her neck in front of its expectant eyes, drawing its attention and leading the flamehuffer out of the lodge. Breakfast was a few scraps of bread eaten on their run to the academy. Labrys kept pace on the ground far easier than Alva did, though at first his only motivation to move was following his favorite color. The grounds were busy as usual. One large group of rare looking types - and a basic brown - had formed close by, but she had little desire to start mixing with trainers gifted in their class of dragon after showing up late. It was around that thought that she began to notice that a familiar heat had left her side. Alva's eyes lowered to the ground, just in time to see a red bolt streaking off towards the collection of trainers and dragons. Something had caught his interest.

The bread was irresistible, far fresher and dressed with herbs the dragon's palette had scarcely encountered before on the outright draconian diet he subsisted on. With little regard to the collection of dragons currently feasting on the bread, the small, warm creature weaved his way through the crowd, chattering with excitement that might have been mistaken for giggling as it sought out the remaining morsels of dirty bread upon the ground. Only after it had finished gorging itself did the obnoxiously colored dragon contemplate its surroundings. Labrys froze awkwardly in place, belching a tiny gout of fire as his eyes moved between all of the dragons nearby. In the distance, his black clad trainer was slowly approaching, frowning. That slow gait meant problems. He already had problems.

"Oh hello." Val said to the new dragon before finishing his bread. "right, I need to head off. I've got some stuff to pick up and then test out. If anyone wants to come with I'll be happy. also if anyone wants instruction on the more complex maneuvers feel free to come bug me" He said grinning and grabbing the last lump of bread and stuffing it in the Toxic nightshade's pack before hauling himself aboard the dragon and tapping it. "Lets fly." he said, they'd long since removed the large metal net on top of the training ground, allowing for easier takeoffs and landings. the nightshade took off vertically and performed a slow roll so it was facing out to sea upside down, gliding smoothly out with the grinning trainer waving, his flight goggles already covering his eyes.

She hesitated, then shook Steelos hand. "I'm Rockelle." She looked back at her own dragon, who had apparently stood up again."Sorry about earlier . . ."

"It's no problem," Seelo said with a smile, placing his hand at his side as he finished the handshake with Rockelle, "Buster doesn't always get along well with others." Seelo added, with a small laugh. Seelo turned his head to examined Rust. He had never actually seen a Bone Knapper, and the sight of one intrigued Seelo, but also slightly made him uneasy, "How long have you been along with Rust?"
